It breaks my heart to read all these comments below. This is supposed to be a place people in need can call for support. By reading these comments I can only imagine the extra despair that this organization must have given their visitors. It also states on their website that they don't like having contact with people after 11pm. What is wrong? How can we help make this a welcoming and helpful place for people in need? How can we actually *prevent* suicide and not catalyse it? Because if not, I think it would be much more advantageous to close down the 113 and use the subsidie for another organization that actually helps. People who want to commit suicide don't get help here anyways, it seems to just add an extra layer of worries more than anything else, so why keep it? It's money badly spent, and I'm sure it's our taxes that pay for that. I would love to hear some feedback. 31.07.2019. still no feedback. Greetings P. S. I also found out from and insider source they do will take 3-4 calls/chats at the same tiem probably due to undersaff, but that creates a very impersonal approach to the "Patient" they are trying to connect to and sooth. Guys! If you wanna die, go get yourself a mixed meal and a bottle of champagne and go in peace instead of trying to help an govermantal organization that can not even affort a second star on Google rating.

Wow!! What an embarrassment for this organization. I have worked for 4 years on suicide prevention Phone lines (Samaritans in London and The American Red Cross) Both amazing organizations and exremely helpful to those in desperate need. I am shocked to read peoples comments here. Obviously something needs to be done differently.

"Emergency workers" are only concerned with themselves. Someone who is done not living is not interested in talk from so-called care providers about how wonderful life is. LIFE IS NOT WONDERFUL for everyone.!!!

Today I took 2 online courses about suicide plans in the elderly and young people. Bizarre to see how much suffering there is in this world and wonderful to experience how we can make a positive contribution here. If I can help even 1 person by taking these 2 courses, it would be worth it. Now look at 113 suicide prevention to see what you can do.

Ignorant robotic repetitive answers, it's like talking to a computer robot, I don't even know if anyone is there. Once I called and they said their service was over at 18h so did I want to talk for 10 min or not because they were closing.

They blocked me/were kicking me out of conversation, so that’s their way of helping I guess!

Everyone who works here is mainly there for themselves and do not understand how someone feels and what this person is going through, even if you explain it in all colors. It makes me very sad in a world in which I already felt impossible, due to an acquired trauma. They use tricks on you... just to make it seem as if they are something, as if you can get life back into you with techniques; they have a good day again and their ego is caressed: The problem of this world. This means that we live separately from each other anyway and someone can just do something to someone else and then also say that you alone can solve your problem, which you have gotten through it. A childish world, with people who do not realize that the farmers still provide their food every day, so that they can play their devilish game undisturbed.”

Why wouldn't you, 113 of course has a very important helpline. But it's not super well known they have a free therapy period. I would literally recommend it anyone.

They pretend to be stupid people with suicidal thoughts or people who are known to engage in destructive behavior. They think they are helping people while they have no idea how to help someone. Everything to have a conversation for as long as possible and make as much money as possible on the backs of people in need

I'm glad I was by my friend's side when he called you because had he been alone I don't know what would have happened, with the cruel and mocking things you said to him which made things worse instead of better. For the love of God, hire some people with compassion! You are often people's last hope and their lives are literally at stake here!!! Or do you not care?

Just had a chat with someone. It didn't help, time between messages too long, not very sympathetic, I almost had a laugh at how ironic my situation was. They tried to the extent they're trained to though.

They helped me get through the night when I most needed it. Was it the best advice ever? No? But it kept me going after a very rough night and ultimately saved my life, not gonna lie.

I called them when I was feeling like my world was ending. The lady on the line listened to me and calmed me down. Do not let the bad reviews get in your way to get help, call the hotline.

I love the training. Loud and clear and very helpful. Everybody who really wants to help another being can participate. In Suicide prevention it is also valid. Together we can. Talking, communicate will help and a lot. More than you can imagine.

The chat is really of no use at all. They only repeat what you say and then ask what you expect from them. If I could come up with the solution myself, I wouldn't be chatting with you out of desperation!

🫤 Perhaps the manager should invest some money on training the staff on how to apologise rather than blame the patients Also please remind the doctors that us patients pay a monthly insurance also for the right of their service.
