We (Americans) were taken here by my local family, being told it was the best Raki Balik on this side of Istanbul. It did not disappoint. Countless small plates of fish, shellfish (the shrimp was especially great) and meze keep raining down on you. Standard turkish dessert at the end of fruit, halva, and others done very well. Efe Rakı is much smoother than the Yeni you will drink in the tourist areas in the old city. If you are an adventurous tourist (with a little money as it's a bit pricier) I highly recommend it.

Best seafoods I ate in Istanbul, It will cost about 300 TL per person... but totally worth it.

Have been in the restaurant on august 19th. Brought with myself homemade cake. Waiters have stolen half of the cake. Unexpected and unpleasant treatment in such place. Will never come again.

Very good experience! Beautiful and cosy interior, very spacious. Fluid service and friendly staff. We enjoyed some cold appetizers (swordfish with shrimp, seabrass) and also warm appetizers ( Fish croquette and grilled octopus), especially the latter where very good! Then we had monk fish with a salad, delicious! All accompanied by a bottle of wine which was rather expensive 450), but overall we had a very good experience for a good overall price (about 1150lira or 75€). Definitely recommend!
