Flawless experience at this hotel. We were very happy with the concierge, room service, breakfast, airport transportation, and restaurant recommendations. The central location made it very easy for us to venture out to the various neighborhoods, and what a beautiful view of the Acropolis from breakfast. Thank you for the great experience!!

Great experience! The staff in all areas of the hotel and restaurant were so nice. Bellmen/doormen, front desk, housekeeping, room service, and restaurant servers and hosts were all so friendly and helpful. I didn't book a room with a view, but I don't see why anyone would need one. I really only slept in the room and was out exploring most of the day. The restaurant also has an amazing view, and great food and drinks. I don't know if I'll ever be able to afford to come back here, but if I can, I definitely will! The staff here really made my first trip to Greece extra memorable. They were so helpful in arranging transportation for us, and guiding us in the right direction to find miscellaneous things that we needed. The TSA threw my face wash away and I needed a new one and the desk staff pointed me in the right direction to find a new one. I ended up getting a Greek face wash that I am obsessed with now! It's way better than the face wash I lost. I even went back and bought more to bring back as souvenirs. The location of the hotel is amazing also. The area is very walkable. Would rate more than 5 stars if I could!

Amazing Amazing Staff!!!! From the moment we walked in to the checkout everyone was amazing and courteous. What set them apart was after our checkout we went to the airport for our flight home and left our passports in the hotel safe 40 Min away from the Airport. I called the hotel and they went to our room got the passports and had a driver bring them to us at the airport. I have never received such great service from a hotel.

We loved our stay at king George Athens. I would like to start with the staff. Every single staff member we met was just amazing. I couldn’t remember all the names but they truly provide a luxury yet discreet experience. A special mention to Sofia and her colleague at front desk and to house keeping, staff at the breakfast and everyone else. The hotel itself is beautiful and perfectly located.

Great hotel with incredible view of the Acropolis. The rooms were well appointed and quiet, restaurant had great food (and is where you could appreciate the Acropolis view), and it was a central location. Loved!

King George is one of the best hotels in Athens and in the center of it all, right at Syntagma Square. We loved the welcome amenity we received when we walked into our room (Champagne and local sweets) - it was a nice touch. The lobby also had a sitting area for little kids which was really cute. The restaurant at the penthouse has great food (we particularly liked the Cretan dishes) and also has a really nice view of the Parthenon. It gets really busy so advance reservation is required.

I’ve never received such a wonderful service from a hotel. This is my first review and i don’t mind to give all stars if possible. Absolutely gorgeous hotel especially people who work in this hotel make it even more special. I highly recommend. Especially their restaurant is beautiful and delicious. Absolutely fantastic. Must try this restaurant - we had degustation with wine pairing. Super location, fantastic view. most of all top service. Thanks King George. You make my holiday more special and memorable. Note. If you are staying in Athens, you have to stay at the King George! My wife and I stayed at the King George while celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. We were impressed with them from the very first phone call we made to them. They gave us complimentary champagne upon arrival and went above and beyond to help us have the best stay possible. My wife has a gluten allergy and the restaurant at Tudor Hall went above and beyond to make sure she did not go hungry. After returning home, we miss their breakfast almost every day. It was delicious and the staff was wonderful. We received the best drivers to take us around the city and give us tours when we asked. The bed was so comfortable and the room was very clean. We cannot express enough how kind and helpful everyone was! We loved it and if we are ever back in Athens, we will be staying here again! You won't regret staying at the King George.

The hotel is stunning with amazing service and elegance. Everyone is very helpful and kind and it is located near everything. The Breakfast is delicious as well. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The leave chocolate on your pillow every night. The bath tub was heavenly every night. I highly recommend the hotel.

Amazing staff!!!! Traveled with my husband and son, and we really enjoyed our stay. If you are an elite Marriot member, you definitely feel it's value here. Everyone was incredibly nice and when we inquired about a local beverage that came with our suite, the hotel manager made sure to send more to our room free of charge. Those are things you remember and that really make an impression. There happened to be a strike in Athens when we were trying to leave for the airport, and without their assistance we would have never gotten a taxi. Cherry on top, the breakfast is delicious with an incredible view. Location wise, you can't really get much better than where it is. 11/10

This was a gorgeous hotel property with a fantastic location and wonderful staff. I could not say enough positive things about the wonderful way they treat their guests. The crew at the breakfast restaurant deserve a special recognition for their wonderful breakfast service. They made us feel highly valued and special. Will absolutely return again.

Excellent hotel and staff. This is my second time staying here in 2 weeks. The staff is very pleasant, the hotel it's beautiful. We are in suite with an Acropolis view. The room is very clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a perfect location to all the shopping, historic sites, and restaurants. They have a very nice workout facility. The breakfast is delicious. I will definitely stay here again.

The service at this wonderful Hotel goes above and beyond, my wife is 22 weeks pregnant and we wanted to do a sex reveal on my wife's Birthday dinner at the Tudor Hall restaurant, and the hotel took care of the whole thing bringing a white cake and the end of the dinner and inside the cake the color Blue appeared 😊 we are truly thankful to the whole staff. We recommend this hotel 100 %

Excellent staff who is helpful with every detail from finding close laundry to booking a dinner to getting my laptop through customs. Rooms are clean and upto date. A bit pricey but worth every cent. COVID buffet is amazing and served by staff so no one touches anything. Most guests wear masks.

Babis at the bar is extremely knowledgeable about his drinks that he mixes and takes great care at his job. Mariana at the front desk goes above and beyond with customer service. You’re never left wanting.

Fantastic hotel with central location and excellent service. I was there on my birthday and they sent a bottle of red and fruit bowl to my room! I ate the fruit but no time for the wine due to work obligations.

Had a deluxe suite on the courtyard side - room was spacious, although have requested syntagma square side suite for my next stay. Team was accommodating, agreeing to start the sauna at 5a at my request. Concierge most helpful with dinner and winebar recommendations, including guiding me away from a bar in an area unsafe after dark. After dinner, the front desk team helped me satisfy sweet cravings with Gelato from La Greche.

Didn’t have a chance to stay in the hotel during our stay, but we were able to stop by the KG Perfumery and pick out a lovey Eau De Parfum for my wife. The associate was very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful, and even tossed in some extra goodies for my wife and I that made the trip even that much more special.

During my stay in Athens I tried to explore this hotel, influenced by being an Autograph Collection Hotel. My wish was to enjoy a coffee or tea in the Lobby. But, the unpolite doorman answered 'There is no coffee available for you'. Sorry, but on a 5 srar property I am used at least to be guided to the coffee Bar or similar, but not rejected at the Main door. Fortunately, I got my coffee in another 5 Star hotel and booked a table for 4 for another day.

My wife and I stayed at the King George hotel over a year ago now and we constantly bring up how incredible our experience staying here was. I felt the need to write yet another review to thank the staff for their hospitality. The restaurant took such great care of us we ate there multiple times! My wife has Celiac disease and the head chef made a special gluten free desert every night we dined there and even came to our table to explained that her entree was free of any cross contamination of gluten. The concierge were kind and patient with us and made sure we always had a ride available when we needed to go somewhere. If anyone is questioning if it’s with staying here, I promise you won’t regret it. Again, almost 2 years later and my wife and I constantly talk about how incredible this hotel was. We truly talk about them even more than the tourist attractions we came to Athens, Greece to see. Thank you King George hotel! 10/10! We visited Greece for the first time in August 2022 and the hospitality at the King George blew my mind away. I've stayed at many 5 star hotels and the King George is one of the few truly memorable experiences! The location is absolutely strategic, the room service was delicious, housekeeping was beyond great, reception were so welcoming and the concierge was an absolute sweetheart! I can't wait to visit Athens again and stay at the King George for a second time!

On the recommendation of British Airways, my wife and I stayed at this hotel in our short visit to Athens, a very luxurious hotel, we were upgraded to a junior suite, the staff were courteous and efficient, the restaurant for the breakfast is on 7th floor, and the view of the Acropolis, is breath taking. We enjoyed the full 4 days' stay in this lovely place.

Old world elegance and feel. Take a moment and step back in time to a beautiful turn of the century luxury hotel. The bar and smoke lounge were fantastic. The service was spectacular and they really give you the total treatment.

This hotel defines excellence. From the moment I arrived for a week long trip in the incredible Athens, I felt at home. The gentleman who took my bags to the front desk team who were utmost lovely - referring to me by my name every time I entered and exited they genuinely cared about my day. Needless to say, I would return in a heart beat. My room was perfect, a reminder of a Greek version of the Ritz in Paris. Every time I entered the restaurant they also greeted me by my name. The staff also complimented my eyewear to my shoes upon entering, and this is a sign of great training. Then there was: the food. The cuisine at the restaurant left me speechless - from the view to the servers and their knowledge and event the sommelier, I returned twice. The breakfasts were also WOW. The view of the Acropolis did not hurt, either. The location of the property is perfect and I loved being able to use the Grand Bretagne facilities and amenities. I am crying that I must return to reality tomorrow. I hope this review helps you make the decision to book here. As I said, I look forward to my return to the King George.

We had a super time at the King George earlier this week. The room was large, very comfortable, and we had a view of the changing of the guard at the Parliament across the square. From doormen, porters, servers, to front desk personnel, everyone was so polite and helpful.

My husband and I stayed at the King George Hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff was extremely attentive to all our needs and desires. They helped us with every need be it large or small. They helped us get taxis, made dinner reservations at incredible restaurants and helped us find our way through the city. They got us an excellent guide for the Acropolis. The room was immaculately clean. They provide an excellent laundry service. The fitness room was well equipped. Breakfast was delicious. If we ever go to Athens, we will definitely stay at the King George.

The lobby is stunning and the staff provided excellent hospitality. Some improvements I'd suggest: The room I stayed in had a shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. 3 bath towels need to be keep on the floor during a shower. Also near the elevators on my floor the roof was leaking. There was bucket down but it wasn't catching all the water. None of this was a big deal, but there is some areas for improvement regarding these water issues. Breakfast was delicious.

Everything about our stay was amazing from checkin, checkout, and the concierge. Amazing views from our bedroom as well as the restaurant. Would stay again for a very luxurious time in greece.

Super attentive and super helpful. Loved the door men being so courteous. The housekeeping was good. Woke up one day at 8am with sanding and painting and another day with hammering next door. It is an older building so I understand that repairs are a must but it was early. The bed is very hard, The AC runs loud. The view is a 10/10 ⭐️ The fresh flowers in the room were a wonderful touch. Breakfast was appreciated especially the Covid precautions.

Excellent service, with high quality staff. The reception, breakfast and room staff are very efficient and friendly. Some comments on services and facilities: - the gym should be better equipped, with more material and more diversified. - the room facing an interior patio had very little light. - the restaurant's menu does not have a true vegetarian option, which I think is very objectionable. Anyway, it's an excellent option, with a lot of quality and well located.

In this older style hotel, the rooms were white, bright and felt more modern and spacious. If there was any thing missing or needed, bang, some one rang the doorbell with your request. Even in JW Marriotts I have never had the support folks be so attentive and timely. We had a suite off of the main street which made it so quiet. The Tudor was nice to eat at, but it did not feel Greek, still if there multiple nights you soil have very good food and first class service. I wish there was a way to have shown our appreciation to the housekeeping folks.

Classic, but very comfortable luxury hotel at the perfect location in Athens. Rooms are nice, food is outstanding and service is even more exceptional - their staff is proactive, empathic, very friendly, which makes your stay a real pleasure. To me, one of the best picks in Athens.

Overall a really good choice of hotel in an excellent location. Charming style and great customer service. Aside from a need for a bit more soundproofing between rooms, we were very happy with everything. Highly recommended.

I’ve stayed here for business trips several times. The beds are comfortable. The location is good. Courtyard room has no view at all. Restaurant staff was a bit inattentive. Gave me the bill while I was halfway through breakfast, which I thought was a bit rude. Doorman refused to get my car for me - asked me to speak to another guy, even though he worked for King George and was manning the door. Not sure what his role was then. Looking for alternatives for my visit.

Excellent service, old school charm with a great view of the Acropolis. A very pleasant started with excellent service provided at check in. We arrived very early and were treated with an excellent room that was made available early. We also received a very nice room upgrade (AMEX FHR booking perk). The room had a breathtaking view of the Acropolis from the 6th floor, was well appointed and had one of the most comfortable mattresses ever had. We took advantage of the opportunity to have dinner at Tudor Hall restaurant which was a world class experience. The tasting menu was very good, paired with delicious local wines (thank you, Maria!) Overall, a great stay and I would recommend it.

For a five star hotel I found this wanting. We got a small room and really there was nothing special about it. The massage spa services were really expensive and mediocre at best.We could not use the outdoor pool next door which was particularly disappointing. The staff were helpful and friendly and the location is good besides that really not worth the price.The restaurant on the 7th floor was good for cocktails but really overpriced food.

By far one of the best hotels I tried in Europe. The staff is so friendly and follow up with everything, clean and nice rooms, good breakfast with a view of Acropolis. They were so above expectations and the location is great. Will definitely stay with them again
