We had a great time here. The location is amazing, the breakfast delicious and the service is the best. A shout out to Nicolas who gave us many great recommendations. My only improvement is for the WIFI because the internet is very slow.

✅ -Location & modern basic equipped rooms -friendly receptionists ❌-not family friendly cos the rooms are small and noisy despite they provided us with a portable crib. -no sound proof windows and walls -every time we were going out the hitting was changing to cool and we had to call the reception to change the temperature of our room 👀 (Huh ? ) - we expected daily cleaning but that didn’t happen! We had to ask for new trash bags. -small elevator where you can’t fit with a bigger stroller than we had. -they don’t provide breakfast even if they have it as a choice when you book the room . Maybe good choice for singles who want to stay & have fun in the city center.

Excellent location with very friendly and helpful staff. Room in the second floor was very clean with a well equipped kitchen and complementary water. Nice soap and shampoo as well as slippers and other accessories in the bathroom. There was still some construction in the reception area and some noise from that after 9am, but it was acceptable for us. I can recommend this place, and I believe it is going to be georgeous as soon as the reception is finished as well.

My partner and I had a lovely stay here at Newel Acropolis. This hotel is located in the center of everything you need to see in Athens. It is a 5-10 minute walk to Plaka which is a fantastic location to get good food and spend the day in. It is close to the Acropolis and we were able to find everything we needed very easily. There is a pharmacy and market right across the street for anything you need. It is extremely quiet and we were able to sleep with no distractions. There is (much needed) AC in the room. The room we had was very beautiful and had a wonderful modern aesthetic to it. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and very kindly gave us an extra room with a jacuzzi. The staff also helped us find places to eat and were very pleasant to be around. I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Athens.

The rooms are nice, spatious and very clean. Access is very easy. The location is perfect to walk around the center if you go on holidays. On the other side, it has some counterparts: the street and cars are very noisy and some of that noise and pollution gets into the room. Also there is a powerful lighting in the window that also gets into the room during the night, imposible to fully cover with the blinds. Last, my room was not very luminous, as the window was only in one corner.

What I liked: It is newly renovated with chic furnitures. It looks really clean. Frontdesk staff - all super nice and smiley and helpful. What didn't work: I absolutely hated this location - while it is relatively close to "downtown", you have to walk through a pretty dirty and rough, heavily trafficked area. I hated walking out of here and going anywhere from here. Pressing this green button to wait for hot water to take shower. Huh?! Lots of weird bumps and ups and downs through-out the building. Overall - despite it all being updated with modern finishes, it was dark and felt like a prison. That's all I can say. It's definitely not like the photos suggest.

I booked the penthouse of Newel Acropolis for one day on a price over 200€. The location is noisy but really beautiful. The receptionist was polite but couldn’t help me with the temperature of the hot tub that wasn’t really hot or dirt of the place. Glasses, dishes and cutlery all scratched and kind of dirty but the worst thing was that you couldn’t use the sofa or the sun beds because they were extremely dirty and molded. I called the receptionist and she kindly took pics to forward it to the managers. I am posting photos as well. I emailed the hotel with a polite complaint but no one replied. I’m sorry but that is not up to the standards of a room at this price and dirt is unacceptable at any price. At least be professional enough to reply to your customers.

Our room was spacious, very clean and has confortable bed. The service was very hospitality and kindness, always ready for helping you, and the location is near to Plaka, the old neighborhood of Athens, it takes 5-10 minutes walking.

A true gem to spend a few days while exploring Athens. Located close to Plaka, Monatrinakis, and their historical sites, all well in walking distance. The rooms (apartments) are simply great as it the service from Newel. For us definitely a place to return to on our next trip to Athens.

We loved our stay here! The room was super modern and clean. About a 10-15 minute walk to the acropolis. Very good restaurants around for eating! We loved that they gave you complimentary snacks and the service was great too! Would definitely stay here again!

Fresh, modern, friendly, clean and value for money. An accommodation a few steps from Syntagma (Athens main square) and the rock of Acropolis and the museum. You can even have fantastic high flour rooms with the view of Parthenon! Definitely we will stay again. The play room at the basement with the pool table and the sauna is a positive surprise!

Very noisy; you can hear everything on the street: cars, motorcycles, trucks, trum... They clean the rooms every 3 days!

I was there for a week and it was such a lovely stay. There were some minor issues like the microwave not working but they were so responsive and accommodating during everything. The staff was also very kind! A very beautiful room for the price. It is also in a very convenient location. There’s a bunch of cute little restaurants, pharmacy and a small market all within 3 min walk. I didn’t even need to metro anywhere because it was a 5-20 min walk to all the major sites. Definitely recommend for young adult girls. Felt very safe and well taken care of by the staff!

We had a very pleasant stay at the Newel Acropolis. We had a room with a jacuzzi on the balcony which was really nice. Perhaps there could have been a more privacy providing seperation between us and the balcony of the room next door but still. Housekeeping was well taken care of and staff were really friendly at the reception and at breakfast. Location of the hotel is perfect, at walking distance of the Acropolis, Pláka, Anafiotika and the Panathanic Stadium but even the fresh markets and Psyri were only 20/25 minutes away by foot.

An amazing hotel. The best location that is one block away from and street of restaurants. Right next to the acropolis. Free waters, free soda, free toothbrushes, and free crackers. Near a metro station and loads of museums. The only real downside is not enough towel hooks. Great Price. 10/10

False advertisement. See the pic below. They Posted pics of the penthouse suite and we booked this hotel based on the photo, and was given the normal suite. Others have mentioned this so it’s definitely a recurring scam. With amazing views of scaffolding, There is construction outside the window with workers looking in. Instead of the Acropolis view we had to keep the curtains shut. What a disaster. The lobby area is also under construction so I’m not sure how this safety hazard of a hotel is even allowed to operate. Besides that it’s very noisy from the road so don’t plan to sleep before 2-3am once the traffic slows. It’s ok if you plan to party all night and return late. The staff was great, they said many guests have been complaining and gave us an email to contact the management. And free snacks in the room is great to keep you busy watching tik tok til the traffic noise stops at 3am. Emailed the guest relations for a refund. Not even a reply. 1 star. Absolutely appalling.

I booked 6 nights at Newell, hoping it would be a modern hotel that would enable me to work remotely while staying in Athens. I was severely disappointed and would not recommend anyone to stay here. The hotel is located at a major intersection, with one of the roads going steeply uphill. As a result, at all hours cars and motorbikes are revving their engines to climb the hill. The windows are cheap quality with no sound insulation. Listen to the sound in the video with them closed versus open. Not much difference! The WiFi speed is not acceptable for anyone who needs to use Zoom or other videoconferencing. The rooms are nicely furnished, but the hallways feel like a prison. I booked directly with the hotel. I wanted to check out early due to the noise. Eventually Christina and Thomas at the front desk offered me one night refund (I checked out with 4 nights still remaining). After several emails, no refund was ever received. Dishonest! There are so many other hotels in Athens. I encourage you to stay somewhere better.

The Newel Acropolis is located in a wonderful part of Athens, within walking distance to the Acropolis and all the major sites. The staff of the hotel are fantastic, Nicolas went above and beyond during check in, and is a wealth of information should you need a recommendation on what to see, or where to eat. The penthouse is a fabulous room, the view of the acropolis is simply breath-taking. I wouldn't hesitate to book this room again.

Great location, all the tourist main sites and subway/train routes are easily walkable. Modern well run with extras like a hot tub and lounge area that can be booked. Rooms are a bit small but the kitchenette was handy.

I do not recommend staying at this hotel. The room: My companion and I were placed in a room on the 1st floor. The size of the room was very good. Unfortunately our window was facing a parking lot plus other buildings with balconies and windows. Closing the blackout curtains was the only way to have privacy. We could have privacy or daylight, but not both. The cleanliness was problematic. The walls had dark smudges on them. There was black mold in several places in the bathroom. The door to the bathroom had fingerprints on it. The floor in the shower was so smooth that I slipped several times. We had to be very careful when taking a shower not to fall. There were not enough hooks in the bathroom for two bath towels. The walls were thin and we could hear any noise or conversation outside our door. The luggage rack was handy and the wardrobe area size was good. Although there were not enough hangers for two people. The kitchenette area was basic, but it had enough for our minimal needs. We did appreciate the small amenities of toothbrush/toothpaste, sewing kit, etc. And the complementary coffee/tea/drinks/snacks. The staff: The staff was nice and responsive to questions. They provided complementary water bottles which were much appreciated on the hot and humid days. The location: The location is within a 10 min walk of the touristy area near the Acropolis. Regrettably the hotel is in a very urban area. It is on the corner of an incredibly busy intersection. There was unending traffic noise all day and all night. Buses, trolleys, cars, motorcycles, mopeds, all very loud all day. I don't believe there was any noise mitigation for this hotel. Unhappily to get to the touristy area we had to cross the dangerously busy intersection. There were several instances of cars that DID NOT stop for red lights. Furthermore there is a vacant multistorey building directly across the street and a motorcycle dealership next door. Around the corner the street is quieter and has some nice restaurants and pubs. Public transport is within a 3 min walk. Construction: During our stay the lobby and lounge areas were under construction and unavailable. While in our room we were treated to loud construction noises from 9am to 3pm everyday. So an afternoon nap was out of the question. There were large garbage cans filled with construction debris directly in front of the building. Everything in the hotel feels shoddy and cheap, it is certainly not a luxury hotel. Basically pretty but only on the surface for the photos. I did try to find other accommodations after seeing what the room was like. But there was no affordable availability left in the area. The state and location of this hotel did affect our enjoyment of our holiday and for that I am sad. I had decided to stay at this hotel based on the nice photos and reviews. I was wrong.

We booked the most expensive place, the penthouse, for 2 nights on the occasion of our anniversary. When we took over the room, we were faced with the fact that the floor was pure glue, and there were also sticky flows on the furniture and bed. The terrace was full of leaves and there were shards of glass lying next to the jacuzzi and the sofa. The cushion and cover of the jacuzzi was a sheer mud. When we reported this to the reception and asked for immediate cleaning, they could not provide it until the next day. They already ruined 1 out of 2 days. After cleaning the next day, the glass shards were also lying in the same place!!! It's dangerous and they didn't care! They have not dealt with our complaint since then. This place was the biggest disappointment, and the attitude of not dealing with our complaint to this day is unqualified. They ruined our entire anniversary.

It was a bit tricky to find at first. I think the sign says Acropolis Stays, but the street address matches correctly. Alex at the front desk was a great introduction to the hotel and was helpful thought my brief stay. The room looked great with modern finishes. It looked like it was very new and barely used before. Everything in the room worked and my favourite part was the bathroom. The shower and sink are really nice. The hotel is down the street from the National Garden and a 10 minute walk from Acropolis. With the intense Greek heat when I stayed there in July 2022, the proximity to the major attractions was invaluable. I would have missed out seeing some places if I had to walk any further in that heat. The hop on/hop off bus is a 4 minute walk from the hotel as well which can take you to and from the beaches. Thank you Alex for your wonderful welcome and hospitality during my stay!

The customer service is amazing! Athens Stay’s team offers 24/7 assistance! I faced a problem with my reservation and the customer service team responded immediately (It was 01:00 am). Eva, the employee that assisted me was very polite and helpful!

Excellent location exaclty at Acropolis, Temple of Zeus, downtown, metro station and restaurants and bars everything by walking. Cozy, clean, quiet. Was a plus the espresso machine and the option for jacuzzi, sauna and biliard if you wanted a spa relaxing time. The reception was kind and helpful! Full recommended!

The hotel was great. Nice view of the acropolis (Room 503) only the Parthenon is visible although. It’s over a very busy intersection but noise was not too eminent even at peak times. Everything is new and very nice. The bed was comfy and nicely made. Kitchenet was small but functional. Fridge was small and worked fine — there were 2 water bottles in the apartment for us which was very pleasant. The table was deep enough to fit a laptop but I would prefer a bigger table. The bathroom was fine• I would prefer if the sliding glass door had some seals on the sides to less noise low and if the glass which separated the shower from the sink was a tad longer (but this is just nitpicking). Even if the room was half as good it would get 5 stars because of the price.

I loved the experience of hospitality, clean, vfm, very beautiful design, very kind the staff in the reception, new construction building. The room with Jacuzzi was perfect, the customer service had prepared the temperature before we come without from our side to tell anything that was a very very nice touch. We enjoyed our stay a lot. The location is the best, Acropolis, Temple of Zeus, Panathenaic Stadium 3-4' by walking. Sure i recommend!

Stay away ! New staff totally unprofessional. The cleaning lady, is so noisy, none can sleep when on the floor for half an hour! Used to stay several times before for business trips and was satisfied overall.. Your choice?
