Fantastic service and a classic craftsman of engagement rings. The ring design started from an assortment of designs I shared, which turned into versions of sketches till we settled on a final design. Herbs vast experience with designing custom one-of-a-kind rings shined through as considerations that I would never have thought of were addressed (such as how the engagement ring will fit with the wedding ring). The range of materials was discussed thoroughly and matched to the design and budget. As a bonus, Herb's updates and communications were always discrete to make sure the engagement surprise wasn't accidentally leaked. My fiance was blown away by the design and quality of the ring. Thank you Herb for creating something that we will treasure forever.

Wedding ring supposed to be a memorable one but this ring and place hasn’t got a good or comfortable memory for us. 1."the ring design wanted by my partner was not quite considered by Herb Merkle. No detailed drawings were provided initially, resulting in a different design to what my partner wanted" (even though provided photos and detail) 2. he ended up try to achieve what my partner wanted. But did not quite meet the deadline. I had a plan to propose on valentines ( I couldn’t plan because I wasn’t sure ring will be ready by then) because there was no update until same day on valentines. Even though contacted multiple times and herb did not answered. 3. Changed attitude after paying (response were quick by day and night ) couldn’t get hold of him easily after paid in full 4. I did not get any payment option or receipt. What I only received was piece of paper that his bank account written. And I asked for a receipt he said my bank account transaction would be it. 5. Even though I found (Uneven shoulder, dent and scratches on ring) those fault he told me it would be my requests and this will be final inspection. Without any apology. I do not understand, How brand new diamonds ring has this kind of problems. I only could think of Herb Merkle design rushed and overlooked our job even though he has enough time. Ended up we going some other jeweler to fix this problem.

It was really great dealing with Herb. I gave him my rough idea and he came back with drawings for me to approve. The finished item is wonderful and my wife is super happy. Excellent service at every step and the price was great. I would be very happy to recommend and reuse Herb in the future.

I approached Herb to design and make the perfect engagement ring for my partner. We had a couple of initial consultations and Herb kept me updated throughout the whole process. I met Herb through his son in 2014/2015 where I was planning on taking the next step with my now wife. I had a look at other jewelers, and they all seemed to be generic and overly expensive. Going to Herb and Sandra, I was greeted with a very family orientated atmosphere where your ideas and opinions were heard, adopted, and executed. Could not rave more highly about Herb and the rings he has designed my now husband and I! Firstly, he created the most stunning engagement ring which I was blown away by. Then when I came with ideas for my wedding band, he not only ran with it but created something so much more beautiful than I could have hoped.
