A hidden gem in grey Lynn. Really tasty sodas and cocktails. The male bar tender with a beard that served us was awesome - very charismatic and seemed like he loved his job! (Something that’s very hard to see in hospitality these days)

Great room, great beer, and bartenders with personality.

The bar seemed cool, but we couldn't taste anything. The staff was really unfriendly. After trying to greet them three times, we decided to leave. Okay, we all have bad days, but looking at the customer in the eyes three times and not responding, that seems disrespectful. Sad to leave the place without having a drink! :(

Great local vibes bar. Service is always spot on, friendly and always good banter. Whether a cold lager out front in the summer, or cosy red wine (or their delightful mulled wine) inside in winter, Gypsy is always a good time.

Only place I could find in either Ponsonby or Grey Lynn on a Friday night where we could actually relax without bad music.

GTR .... OK, Gypsy Tea Rooms is dim and cosy and reasonably priced and the staff are personable and the service is quick. It feels like a place where the business is backgrounded and the vibe is the priority, which is uncommon in Auckland today. A great place to hang out, catch up, watch and nibble.

I love this place, with it's intimate, bohemian vibe. Great place for after work drinks, we had tall gins and shared a pizza, both very nice thank you!
