We had a wonderful stay here. The employees were all very polite. We had a nice sized clean room with a wrap around balcony. The pool is a tad small but it gets the job done. Breakfast was great, parking on site was great. The location was perfect for us. We had a wonderful stay. I would definitely recommend and re- book this hotel.

My girlfriend and our dog stayed here for 4 nights. The breakfast was something I looked forward to every morning, and we used the pool, gym, and laundry amenities as well and were happy with them. The staff and manager made us feel welcome, we had actually looked at a couple of places before but the staff at the other places weren’t warm like the staff here was. I’m happy with our stay, happy enough to leave a good review. Also the rooms were really comfortable (beds pillows and comforter) and clean. Thanks for a great stay!

We arrived a lot later than expected and were tired and hungry. The front desk staff was amazing. They were super friendly. We asked about a microwave in the room because we were going to eat from their little store because everything else was closed. Our reserved room didn’t have one so they upgraded our room. The guy went into the back and brought us silverware and paper plates. In other words, they went above and beyond. The day staff was just as nice when we needed to stow our luggage. Our room was fantastic with a very comfortable bed. The location is perfect for anything on the south side of the UT campus or downtown.

What a great hotel experience! We arrived to Austin after a delayed red eye and missed connection and were so welcomed by Laura at the front desk. She was so helpful and friendly and got us a beautiful room and gave us some great tips on where to go explore in Austin. Room was big and spacious and bed was super comfy. Great view from our room of the city skyline and the pool on the 5th floor, which was a perfect to cool off. They even have a full breakfast included with the stay! Walking distance to the Capital and entertainment area. A real treat and excellent overall experience - highly recommend!

Stayed here this past weekend for a river trip. We had two connecting rooms that were a good size for our crew. Plenty of towels, parking onsite (the garage gets packed at night, carpool in the evening). Check-in was super easy both our rooms were ready before 3PM which was nice because we got to ATX early. The breakfast is on point for kids, plenty of options. The hotel doesn't have a bar but Dive Bar is walking distance and great for a nightcap. I would stay here again! Staff was awesome too.

King with balcony, 6th floor: Large, modern rooms. Nice balcony, nice view. Floor to ceiling windows all around with multiple layer drapery options (which we appreciated in the morning). Microwave. Multiple air controls so the living and sleeping areas can be adjusted individually. Nothing special about the bathroom; there's a tub and full size toiletries. Breakfast is the standard offering of make your own waffles (Texas shaped), cut fruit, yogurt, and oatmeal, along with the usual barely edible hotel eggs and potatoes. They did attempt sausage and gravy, but.. kielbasa? We would stay here again.

This is the most expensive Hampton Inn I've ever stayed at. I get it, though, it's in Downtown Austin and very conveniently located. It's located close to the UT campus and several places of interest including the central part of Downtown. The people working here are great. They were all very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was nice enough. There were some things I wish were different: The room was very hot to me. Even though we had the thermostat turned down to 65, because the AC unit was situated in the opposite side of the room from the bed, it never got that cool. I loved that the room had a ceiling fan, but there was not way to control how fast or slow it ran. This made it pretty much useless except for decoration. The hot water was OK and we never ran out. It would have been nice to have it a little hotter for shaving. The water pressure in the shower was great. The refrigerator made an awful, high-pitched noise. Even though the kitchenette area was situated away from the bed, the sound carried over and was a bit annoying. The breakfast was OK, but not the best Hampton breakfast I've ever had.

Great location near UT and downtown attractions. Walked down Congress St to the Bridge and into UT for a college tour. Felt safe at all times. Rooms are really nice, comfy, and everything worked. $25 to park in the garage under the hotel. Breakfast was well stocked with lots of options. Staff was friendly and helpful giving us areas to visit. Nice weight room and 5th floor outdoor pool, with a great view of the city!

My short stay was great. The front desk staff, especially Alec was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and happy with complimentary breakfast. Maybe a discounted parking for Hilton Honors members would be a plus

went to pick up my sister from orientation at UT, very close to the school. Staff is friendly, especially Laura! She was amazing! Very helpful and kind! Made the stay much more personal! Room was clean, pillows were soft. Bed was on the firmer side though. Water pressure for showers were good, and breakfast was hot! From checking in, to checking out everything was easily accessible. I’d rate my experience a 9.9/10! Will definitely be staying here again!

We enjoyed the convenience to University of Texas for our event. The staff was welcoming and professional. The room was perfect. We enjoyed the balcony and especially the room's ceiling fan to circulate the air. We also appreciated the underground parking for security reasons. The breakfast was exactly what we needed to start our day. The convenience of eating a hot breakfast with choices of coffee made the morning less stressful when traveling with a school group. We will definitely book again next year.

I stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel staff is amazing, the rooms are spacious, the shower was the all around best I have ever experienced at a hotel. The rooftop pool and view was a nice after a day at work, the Austin skyline is beautiful. I visit Austin 1x a month and will definitely be back, I highly recommend this hotel.

Terrible customer service. I called the day after our checkout to ask about the extra charges to my account. My hotel bill was 1076.94, I was charged 1092.16, I was also charged an extra 150 dollar charge to my account that was separate. When I called I was put on hold for 50 minutes. I wasn’t asked why I was calling just immediately put on hold. After 20 minutes I called again and connected the lines from my first call. Rose the manager on shift put me on hold again without asking why I was calling. Once it was finally 50 mins later she picked up and I explained just for her to tell me I got charged extra for a 150 fee which is suppose to be 250 for a smoking fee. My husband and I did not smoke in the room but we did just come from acl festival in Austin which I explained to her. She said that there was evidence but when I asked for it she wouldn’t tell me what it was. I asked to speak to a manager above her because it’s ridiculous that I’m being charged when I nor anybody else smoked anything in the hotel room. She said she was sending my call to the manager above her but the phone hung up instead. I called back immediately and she transferred me, whoever is above her didn’t answer the phone. I left a voicemail stating that I want to talk to whoever is in charge because I will not be charged for something I didn’t do. If they are not going to take the charge off of my account then I want to speak to a corporate manager instead and I will be disputing the charges with my bank. No one has called back or emailed me. As a Hilton honor member I’m very upset and disappointed with my Hampton Inn experience especially with the customer service. No one should have to wait that long on the phone, nor deal with incompetent managers who aren’t capable of doing their job properly. If I was thinking about which hotel to choose for business or leisure travel it wouldn’t be this one. Any other hotel will have better customer service.

Giving this place a 1 star for customer service. Me and my family called for a reservation for 2 nights. We told Laura that we were going for a concert and then celebrate my husbands birthday. When we got to our hotel that night, because we did book the day we were going, we find out it was booked for one night. The confusion on my face was very noticeable. When asked what the problem was, I told the manager that we told Laura that we wanted 2 nights. If it was only for one, we were looking for something else. We only booked there because she had said she had found a room. Well there was no room. When we confronted Laura, she said, thats not what I told you and basically said it was our fault. We had 2 hrs til our concert with no room for tomorrow to celebrate my husband's birthday. And she then proceeded to tell us and pointed in the direction that she knew for a fact the hotel down the way had rooms. I was so annoyed and pissed. We called. The rooms started at $400 a night. We kept calling around and nothing. Everything was booked. When leaving to the concert, which I was trying so hard to get hyped for but couldn't because I was worried about what we were going to do, they ask "well did you find anything?" Seriously? I was so heated I had to get out of her sight because if I wouldve stayed I would've said some not so nice things. We finally found a hotel an hr before we had to check out and thank God they were able to accommodate us even before check in because they new we didn't want to be going around town with our luggage. I was so grateful to THAT hotel. Because this hotel, didn't try to help us at all find something else. Other than telling us the hotel down the way had some rooms. They didn't tell us they were $400. It was very poor customer service, and Laura and the manager Rose were not accommodating at all. Laura didn't help, and Rose kept looking to Laura as if she was the manager. The way they handled everything was unprofessional. The only reason we found something is because one of the hotels we did call thats didnt have rooms, helped us find one. I idk why Laura didn't offer that, shes a booking agent for hilton, she could've at least tried to help find something for us. It was miscommunication on her side. Because she knew exactly how long we were going for and what we were going for. It was sad when the girl that checked us in even didn't understand how there was such a mixup. So hopefully Laura doesn't screw anyone else out of having a good night because, let me tell you, i was not at ease until we had another hotel! So thank you, Laura, for a memorable stay, just not a good memory. Next time, just apologize and try to give your customer some ease and help them find somewhere to stay at a reasonable price. You're a booking/sales agent, its your job. I will never stay here again. I will stay on the outskirts next time. They were way more professional, and made sure we were okay, and I don't mind the distance. Sometimes, being close to downtown isn't a good thing. I found this out the hard way.

Clean and very quiet room. The hotel was clean and the staff were very polite. Pool and outdoor patio were very nice with a great view of Texas Capitol. Great location that allowed us to walk to the Capitol with family then we ate at a nearby restaurant.

Nice rooms friendly staff proper functioning air conditioning. Comfy bed. Only gripe is I feel that the rooms have so much potential to be so much better. The shower was nice but kinda cramped not much room in shower bathroom is big so not sure why they went with this choice of shower. The in room decor was kinda lacking but it is still nice. Ceiling fan was a plus exceptit was off balance and kept making an annoying clicking sound. Should be an easy fix though. All in all it was a nice hotel.

The experience was overall fine. The service was pleasant but they ripped us off. They lied about the price. But the pillows are SO comfortable. I slept like a baby. The location was pretty nice, near the capital and you can have a pretty walk at night.

One of the main reasons we chose the hotel was the location and pool. With two kids we figured the pool would be great. Unfortunately it was crowded being that it is on a smaller scale and not only that but pieces of the bottom of the pool were coming apart. We literally were putting pieces of plaster or whatever covers the pool and putting them on the side. My son cut his toe because of the spots that had missing plaster. The rooms were fine but the pool experience was a big disappointment.

Maybe I’m being a bit harsh, or because I’d come from a charming hotel that was $50 less per night, but this place seemed a bit anonymous and generic to me. It had little more than a desk and an elevator and a lounge, and not an organic feel. There were other small things, like the lack of directions on the entry and exit to the garage elevator. The Hampton breakfast is always a standout, and I appreciate the staff woman working the breakfast room who said hello to everyone. She was the best part of the stay. It’s a well-priced option in an overpriced market

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Hampton! The staff at the front desk were such an absolute delight - I wish I remembered the names of them all because they were truly all so awesome, but I remember Rose was just SO lovely. You know those people who love their job and you can tell are passionate about what they do? The staff here are all like that! My mom and I were out all day apartment hunting, and we were so exhausted, but when we walked through the hotel doors, we were totally energized by the staff’s infectious positive energy! Just great vibes all around. Everything was clean, well designed, and the hotel was just super cute, funky, functional, and cozy. Not to mention the complimentary breakfast!! As someone who’s moving to Austin for school, it was just a great introduction to the city, and one that I will always remember and be grateful for :)

Love, love, loved our room! The staff was friendly. The breakfast that was included was fantastic. My only complaint is the size and space of the parking garage. It is ridiculously small and tight. This was a holiday weekend so the lot was pretty full but if you were driving a large SUV, it would be almost impossible to fit your vehicle into those small parking spaces. That's not the hotel's fault but it is something to be aware of.

Great locations! Walking distance to Capital and short driving distance to 6th Street. The 2 Queen Bedroom is a little small. The hotel was able to accommodate us to a King Suite with pull out bed. We loved it. Heated pool is awesome. The breakfast is not a big deal and taste could be way better. Also, be aware that they put a hold on your card and could take 3-7 days to be applied back.

Absolutely the most customer friendly and convenient hotel in the downtown area. The parking situation alone is worth staying here. Underground garage $25 a night zip in and out. Very close to 15th street which is a main avenue to get in and out of downtown. Very stacked complimentary breakfast. Gym is satisfactory. Front desk staff professional and courteous. I've stayed downtown three times in the last month at three different hotels (to include 5 star), and this place hands down is the hotel of choice for me now. Outstanding job!

I really enjoyed staying in this hotel! It was very clean, had a great breakfast spread and got very prompt service when I requested additional items to the room! I would definitely stay here again. The only complaint I have is the parking is $30 a night which seems really unnecessary.

My wife and I stayed here while I was in Austin for a work event. Our room was particularly huge given that it was just the 2 of us in one king bed room. Mini fridge and microwave were nice to have. Room was clean. Bathroom was like 4.5/5 clean, but I'm picky :D. Hotel breakfast was great, as it always is at Hampton Inns. Free coffee in the lobby was great too. Location was nice. Would stay here again if I came back to Austin.

This was my first stay here . To my pleasant surprise , my room was very big with a nice peninsula type desk and two chairs for both sides , great TV that swivels from the wall and a great seating area with a couch , ottoman and a high back chair . The room had a fridge that actually froze my water bottles..... that never happens !!!! Usually they barely get cold . So I was happy about that 🙂 . Also , there was a microwave and a coffee maker , what more can you ask for ?!? How about 12 foot ceilings and two ceiling fans !!!! Yup , to top it all off , the water pressure in the shower was magnificent . I am not sure if the hotel has recently been remodeled , but everything looks pretty new . Another plus is that breakfast is included , nothing that will knock your socks off , but it is good . Note that there is no bar . I know , very strange . Location is also good , in a quiet area , but still close to the University , the Capitol and 6th street . So this place is a winner . Enjoy .

Excellent 3 star hotel. The staff is professional, friendly, and helpful. The continental breakfast is good, but could have more variety. The view from our room was great, my son loves it. I wish the beds had been cushier but I'm spoiled to my own bed. The shower wand in our bathroom didn't work, but the main shower head had great pressure. The underground parking was a plus, if a little cramped. It is only 3 blocks from the Capitol and there are half a dozen eateries within a 2 block distance. Overall, would definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful stay we had! Came to Austin for the Iron Maiden concert and stayed here since it was close to the venue. The staff, ALL OF THEM, were Amazing! They were welcoming, kind, helpful in suggesting local eateries and hotspots, and the manager of the Hotel took a lot of his time to help us find a particular restaurant nearby that sold Beyond burgers. Hotel is kept up nicely, the art and such is very hip and modern taste, and the room we had (231) was spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Thanks!!

Awesome experience! The staff was so welcoming, friendly, and patient we were even upgraded to a balcony room! This was our first stay at any Hampton and I’m happy to say my boyfriend and I have decided this would be our official hotel for any and all future stays. Can’t say enough great things about the staff and experience.
