"I was extremely disappointed with the staff at the Hampton Inn in Austin, Oakhill. The staff were rude, argumentative, and unprofessional, lacked any sense of candor, and genuinely seemed like something you would see in a bad movie. For context, my wife traveled to Austin on a business trip, and I was recommended by a colleague that she should stay at this hotel. I couldn't go because I was in Pennsylvania, visiting my mother in the ICU unit at Passavant hospital. I told the representative I wouldn't be there because my mom was being taken off life support, and it would only be my wife checking in. I mentioned this to the worker on the phone because I wanted to know if my wife could use my military discount if I booked the hotel for her and sent them a copy of my military id via email, as they requested. "There After her check-in, I received a call from the front desk, stating that they could no longer give us the military rate because she didn't present the ID. I was confused by this because they asked me to send a copy via email, which they now had on file, but the representative was unwilling to listen. I asked to speak with the manager and she was even more uncooperative and downright disrespectful. I continually asked if I could explain myself, and let them know they have my ID on file, but the woman threw a tantrum and said my wife has 30 minutes to leave their hotel and we just paid for 5 days. It was easily the worst hotel experience I've had in 42 years, and I wouldn't recommend anyone stay there. I have a long list of colleagues that come to Austin and work in this area, and it's a shame for military families to be treated with such disregard. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, as the poor level of professionalism and candor from the staff was unacceptable. "There are many other hotel options in the area, and I would suggest looking elsewhere for a more enjoyable and customer-focused stay."

This hotel needs love. It's not great. The rooms are clean and tidy, but the door to mine wasn't square, the lobby was clittered with delivery goods - looked as if they'd been there a while. The staff was hit and miss - the woman who checked me in was friendly and helpful... the only other person I had contact with was definitely the opposite. With road works the location wasn't great either - although that's hardly the hotel's fault. If Hilton showed it dome love with a refurbishment, it could be lovely.

It's been wonderful staying here, breakfast is served hot and ready and the people working here are super nice. There's a lot of construction right outside the building and the traffic is quite terrible but you can work around this by taking the road just to the right of the hotel.

When I made the reservation in the hotel I selected the option to include my 2 dogs, and I also called and confirmed with front desk that they were aware that I was bringing them. Once checked in, I left the dogs in the room and had to leave for an event; the front desk person and manager called me a couple of hours later, saying that my dogs were barking and other guests were complaining. When I stated that I was in an event and not close by they both proceeded to threaten me saying they were going to charge me for other people rooms if they complained, that they were going to call animal control and wouldn't let us stay for the night; I did not receive any verbal notice or read any of this in the contract when I made the reservation. I had to leave the event, that I paid hundreds of dollars for several months ago, and pick up my dogs. When I arrived to the hotel, none of my dogs were barking. I understand the warning if they were being disruptive, but no the threat. When you go to a pet friendly hotel, there are sections and rooms designated for it, we were given a regular room in the common area with people with no pets; also, there should be plans in place for whenever there is barking, I don't think my dogs are the only ones that bark. It was a very unpleasant experience, to say the least.

This is one of the best places we have stayed for wheelchair accessible accommodations. The staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast is tasty and has a good selection. We have stayed there several times and plan to return.

I suffer from severe anxiety and panic attacks. They helped me with every request and didn’t make me feel bad for asking a bunch of questions. If you ever need a place to feel safe. This is the best hotel on earth

This is one of our favorite hotel to stop while visiting Austin. Afternoon, evening & morning reception staff were all very courteous, friendly & helpful, as were the kitchen & cleaning staff. It also provides a full hot breakfast, very good. We had a very pleasant & serene stay. We will continue to stay at this hotel on our visits to Austin. Thank you for the great services provided

Everything was fantastic, EXCEPT for the construction outside of the hotel, which is nothing they can control. It's not disruptive... just hard to get in and out of.

I usually do not choose to leave reviews, but after months of work traveling in which I am usually here at least once a month, I have to say...the night gal needs more than coaching. She needs etiquette classes in how to talk to patrons. Not that the Hilton rewards are super awesome unless you travel way more extensively than me, but I feel Hilton hotels should honor them. This gal writes her own standards to the rewards. Just for water, you'd better be Gold or higher for instance, which means a snack? Better be somewhere above diamond apparently 😒. She is emotionless, unfriendly and lacks any and all communication skills. I love the location in correspondence to my work that I need to do, but, I'd rather just spend more and get better service and drive a bit more I guess. The other hotels I have rewards at have zero issues with honoring them. Hilton "honors". Not so much.

My recent stay at the Hampton Inn outside of Dripping Springs, Texas, left much to be desired. I would rate it 2 out of 5 stars due to several disappointing factors. First and foremost, the rooms were shockingly dated and reminiscent of a time capsule from the 70s. The decor, furniture, and overall ambiance screamed "outdated," with no modern touches to be found. It felt like a trip back in time, and not in a charming way. Adding insult to injury, the amenities in the rooms were terribly outdated as well. The TV was an ancient relic, offering a limited selection of channels, and the Wi-Fi struggled to keep up with even basic online tasks. In an era where most hotels offer top-notch technology, this felt like a significant step backward. But what truly soured my experience was the exorbitant price for what I received. The cost of the rooms was dramatically out of alignment with the quality of the accommodation. It was nothing short of a ripoff, making me regret my decision to stay there in the first place. Lastly, the hotel's location compounded the issues. Situated right off a freeway with no stoplight, making a left turn onto the property was a nightmare. It felt dangerous and was a logistical nightmare, especially for guests unfamiliar with the area. Overall, my stay at the Hampton Inn near Dripping Springs, Texas, was a disappointment. The outdated rooms and amenities, coupled with the high price and the challenging access, make it a place I would strongly advise against staying at.

The walls were thin. Heard someone showering at 1:30 a.m., and a baby crying right after that. Beds were comfy, pillows were good. Place was clean. Breakfast was hot and decent. Staff helpful and pleasant.

Staff was great i had gone to several motels needing to check in at noon and they were the only one i had to get me right in no questions asked but having to wait. The hotel was quiet the pool was nice and relaxing and my room was very clean the bed was wonderful had a great night sleep, and smelled so good every time i entered the room. There was construction in front of the bldg but never had problems getting in and out. I like the noon check out as well. If ever in this are i believe you won't go wrong staying here.

Staff was very friendly! Room was about as expected. Although whatever chemical cleaners they used left a filmy residue on the floor and all surfaces. I felt slimy and the chemical fragrance was nauseating. I can't wait for public places to realize chemicals are harmful and start using natural products. The biggest problem was the EMF radiation I felt for 2 nights there. It buzzed my entire body and I couldn't sleep the 1st night and the 2nd was worse. I had a migraine and couldn't wait to leave there, I'm so glad I only booked 2 days/nights. You can see a huge power plant right outside my window here in my photo. Also annoying was the Major construction on the road in front of the hotel. Hazardous if unfamiliar with the area and approaching from the East headed West and trying to make a left turn into their drive.

Amazing service from the night clerk, Mr. Lewis, when I arrived very late at night after a long flight and was starving. He found me some decent food (at 1:30 AM) and I was able to have a great night's sleep. The room was perfect. I'm very critical of most hotel rooms, but whoever is managing this place is really looking out for details. The room came with way too heavy a comforter on the bed for summer, but they had a nice blanket in a clear plastic bag in the closet. The cleaning staff seemed genuinely friendly, every one of them. Great free breakfast and at convenient hours, from 6-10.

Great customer service and very clean, comfortable stay for me and my 8 y/o. The staff had such positive dispositions, going out of their way to make my little one feel right at home. No one ever hesitated to go out of their way and help us feel welcome from the maintenance, cleaning, to front office. I will definitely recommend this location to out of town visitors! Smells clean and consistently stays that way (we stayed for 7 nights).

The hotel employees/staff is very nice and it is close to AMD, NXP and other major corporate offices.

All the construction around this hotel does not detract from the value and comfort. Certainly a good example of what Hampton can be.

Normally this is a fantastic place to stay. Unfortunately we just visited during a time of major road works. I would recommend looking into the status of the construction before booking your stay here.

I was evacuated due to wildfires and they were a life saver. I had 3 small chihuahuas and even though their limit is 2 dogs they were able to make an exception. The staff helped me with items that I needed since I left my house with just the clothes on my back. Thank you so very much for being understanding and helping me and my chi's out.

My stay was very good. The young man, Larry, who made the reservation, check me in and checked me out of the hotel, was the best thing at the Hampton Inn. Larry, represents the hotel very well. He went beyond his duties to make sure I had a wonderful stay.

Very clean hotel. Great breakfast in the mornings. The only issue is the road construction. But not the hotels fault. Widening the freeway.

Nice hotel, staff was nice when I arrived, but they told me 75 dollars for the two schnauzers for a pet fee, then that evening after midnight they charged another 175 for the pet fee, so I feel kike they took advantage of me. I intend to file multipole complaints for poor service due to misinforming me of the pet fee

The management and staff went above and beyond to ensure our event was amazing. Our Soldiers of the 100th MPAD and our families were able to enjoy a great holiday event because of the Hampton Inn's incredible staff. Plus the rooms were super clean and the bed absolutely comfortable!

This area is under heavy construction due to the new highway project. Traffic is nonstop in front of this location. On a 4 day stay the television and wifi service was lost in the entire hotel. Spectrum is to blame. Four days in a hotel with no t.v...🤬 The printer in the business center would not print our boarding passes. The front desk staff didn't know how to make it work. 😣. The rooms were basic but clean. There are better options nearby.

No issues whatsoever. Clean room and friendly, accommodating staff. Only complaint would be the quality of the free breakfast, which was meh, but you can only expect so much. Served from 6-10 which was a good range of time. I would stay here again!

I booked the room for my in laws to stay while they visited during the Thanksgiving holiday. They enjoyed their time at the hotel. The GM Crystal was very accommodating. They as well enjoyed the free breakfast that the hotel provided. Definitely will book here again!

Nice and new hotel. Very clean and modern. Location is good, just not walking distance to downtown. Easy drive to downtown. Definitely worth the rate vs the downtown hotels.

This hotel exterior is nice but the inside is outdated. Our room smelled bad but the guy at the front desk was nice and moved us. We ended up just leaving though it was far from my sister whom we were visiting so we left early. I still had to pay for a night.

The rooms were large for just a regular room which I appreciated. Breakfast was a little sad but it may have just been me. I like scrambled eggs but they had only omlets. The juice machine was down so it limited drink choices.
