Google maps somehow has one entry for a coffee place (it's good and also worth 5 stars) and the Energy Museum. No tourist guide mentions this museum and I discovered it thanks to a suggestion from GPT4 - it's definitely a must see for every person interested in industrial relicts. Most of the devices are preserved, including the beautiful control room. Absolutely stunning. There's no entrance fee, but the museum is on the University campus, so one needs to pass trough a guest entrance booth. ID or passport is needed to be verified by a guard and a tabby cat.

On display the big generators, converting steam power to electricity. This is not explained any where but i did not mind. The place breaths the early 1900s, very charming. See my map upload for how to get there.

Its a good place to visit with teens. A lot of science concepts can be explained through actual experiments. Timing is 9 to 4. For individuals its free entry but if you are a group then its paid. You can spenx 1-2 hours here easily.

Very good museum for who is fond of engineering, well maintained equipment showing there like Turbines, Generator and steam Boiler as well as control room. Turbines with different types and power capacities that belong to a wide period of time. There is some other interesting things about electrical engineering or you can do some electrical experiments.

Pro: It is inside the University, unique atmosphere, free admission!!!, children will love it, one good coffe bar and restaurant is nearby, beautiful gift shop, nice photos can be taken. Cons: It is a little bit hard to reach with public transport, some game doesn't work. It is only about an hour visit.

It is a nice idea but unfortunately wasted. The building is the first electricity power plant of Istanbul. It is now used by a private university. So the museum itself is in the university. Entry is free. An important point, they don't allow you to enter with your camera! This unbelievable. (I have an Canon SLR, mobile phones you can use as camera) Parking exist. There are cafe's and beverages. Pricing of those are not that cheap. (Water 7 liras as of July 2022) In the museum there are many electric and magnetic experiments. Some of them are in use. But the most interesting ones, unlikely like energy museums in other countries, need supervision of staff. And yes, there is no one to assist you! You just see but can not experience. The second and third floors are very nice, to see the whole old power plant equipment makes you feel in time machine. There are also drawings of Abidin Dino. In the museum was a man, travelling with a big dog. There was also one free dog running in the museum. It was also not pleasant for my children. Finally, a nice place which doesn't deserve to visit.

We visited the energy museum. The entry was free and you could see steam engines and play with some experiments and some of them were shut down but good to go check out!

The most expensive coffee shop in Santral campus. But not the best coffee. İt just at the entrance and more lively, but I definitely advise any of the other coffee shops for coffee and snacks. The snacks are usually average and not to my taste. Sometimes very loud music for university store.

(Translated by Google) there used to be a power station here. later he was allocated to the university of knowledge. There is an energy museum, classrooms and cafes inside. they have created a beautiful place. I found it difficult to find a place because there are no signs. I just visited the energy museum. It also says that there is a gallery on the site, but I could not find it. various energy experiments are exhibited in the energy museum. we can still bring and test these experiments actively. I like it. I have learned a little that energy conversions are human. (eg electricity energy production from motion energy) There were larger buildings on the second floor, I did not stop there.

It's a great and calm place to visit for students and families. But it was hard to find the entrance, you should walk a lot. If u cannot find the entrance to the museum, it is based across the espresso lab.
