Think again before you go here. The cheap price of the place can be tempting, but it can also be a real disappointment. The hotel has several moldy rooms that the customer service staff will give you. I was sick for several days because of them. So the hotel is definitely not worthy of 3 or 4 stars. Also taking into account bed linen and towels, they have spots and stains that do not come off in the wash. In no way can I recommend this to anyone. Consider.

I was in this hotel in December 2019. It is a huge hotel with a huge outdoor pool. I think that the ratio of price, quality and comfort is quite balanced, but it can be better. The staff from that time almost absent. I do not recommend it to the pretentious, but a possibility to consider. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Crabi.

    1. **Poor Customer Service**: During my stay at Ayodhaya Palace Beach Resort, I experienced consistently subpar customer service. The staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful, making me feel unwelcome and undervalued as a guest. 2. **Maintenance Issues**: The resort's facilities were in a state of disrepair. My room had several maintenance issues, such as leaky faucets, broken lights, and a malfunctioning air conditioner. It was clear that the property was not well-maintained. 3. **Hygiene and Cleanliness**: Cleanliness was a major concern. The room was not properly cleaned upon check-in, and the public areas, including the pool and dining areas, were not adequately maintained. This lack of cleanliness greatly affected my overall experience. 4. **Food Quality**: The food at the resort's restaurant was disappointing. It lacked variety, and the quality of dishes was substandard. I expected better considering the prices charged for meals. 5. **Misleading Advertising**: The resort's website and promotional materials did not accurately represent the actual state of the property. The pictures and descriptions were deceptive, and my expectations were not met upon arrival. 6. **Noise Levels**: The resort lacked adequate soundproofing, and noise from neighboring rooms and outside disturbances made it difficult to relax and enjoy my stay. 7. **Inefficient Check-In/Check-Out**: The check-in and check-out process was slow and inefficient. It took an excessively long time to complete these basic procedures, causing unnecessary delays. 8. **Overpriced Services**: The additional services and amenities offered by the resort, such as spa treatments and excursions, were overpriced compared to what is available in the local area. 9. **Lack of Privacy**: The layout of the resort did not provide a sense of privacy. I felt exposed in my room, and the balconies were too close to those of neighboring rooms, making it difficult to enjoy any personal space. 10. **Accessibility Issues**: The resort's location was inconvenient, with limited access to public transportation and distant from popular tourist attractions in Krabi. This made it challenging to explore the area.

This hotel feels very abandoned and isn't pleasant to stay in. Overpriced for the quality. It's a shame because you can see the potential and beauty that it could offer, with some more love and care it could actually be a nice little paradise.... The staff are friendly and that's about all that's good about it aside from the location which is walkable to the night markets and good food / activities. The room is a decent size, but there is no furniture to sit on the balcony. The bed is extremely hard & the linen & pillows are dirty and gross with stains. The pillows felt like they were 20 years old, lumpy, and horrible. We asked kindly twice at reception for new pillows and nothing.... Theres a bath, but you can't use it, the phones don't work, and reception don't answer their number listed on Google either, So once your checked in, you're really on your own. The elevators in the building don't work, so be mindful if you can't handle flights of stairs to your room. The pool area is nice, but fairly run down, and there's random equipment just laying around the place. There is no bar or food on offer in courtyards/pool area. It just feels like no one really cares that much about the place. We feel like the photos and the way they list the hotel online are deceiving to what you actually get and are definitely overpriced for the quality of stay current. Perhaps it was once nice, but it has a long way to go now.

Hotel staff is extremely rude. They ask you to pay for entire day's tariff in case of early check-in. Very disorganized service. They ask you to buy towels if you ask for more than 2 in a day. They have no concept of hand towels. Pool timings are more restricted. The only good point of this place - its location and distance from beach. On our 2nd day, room doesn't get cleaned until 6pm. When you go and check, reception person mentions we do have 100 rooms and room cleaning staff will come soon. Thorough disappointing. Very poor customer care. Phone doesn't work and neither the TV. I don't understand who gave them 5 star rating, and they currently are working below 3 star for sure. Won't recommend to anyone.

This place cannot be 5 stars in 2023, maybe back in the 70s, but nothing has changed since. Do not be fooled, it was so bad that we checked out the same night. The hotel, and it's rooms are absolutely filthy, unhygienic and in desperate need of some love and care. It's such a shame as the building itself is beautiful, and the place has so much potential, but it's sadly stuck in the past. UPDATE: As the owner has taken the time to write a comment, I can happily say that we never asked for any money back, we just left, but yeah.... 🤡

We've stayed in a lot of 4/5 star hotel's and this certainly isn't. The rooms are dirty dusty and smell very damp ,our room had what looked like a leak in the ceiling. The whole hotel us dated and is in definite need of a make over ,. We went for breakfast that was a joke lukewarm coffee and not much else , so traveller's if you think the pictures of this hotel are fabulous don't be fooled it's definitely not , I would not recommend this hotel to anyone . If anyone has ever watched the Ist marigold hotel movie where he first shows them around, well this is not that good

Read the reviews and knew it might be a little off going into it, but it seemed interesting. Very cool architecture, lobby, gardens, but definitely a bit run down. The pool area looks abandoned, definitely needs a power wash on the cement to clean it up. 3 stars really comes from the treatment— the lobby staff was nice and I loved the parrot, but when we asked for another roll of toilet paper the housekeeping staff literally laughed at us… when we got in we had a product spill in our bag, so we used toilet paper to clean it up— when we asked for more they laughed, told the other housekeeping worker, who also started laughing that we would need more already. Very rude and uncomfortable! Even if we had needed it for it’s intended use it is not great to be laughed at. Oh also the house keeping staff didn’t even show up to clean the room until 5pm when we were back from a day trip and resting so it never timed well to get the room cleaned. This place is a serious dice roll.

We arrived to friendly staff who took us to a spacious room with air conditioning, nice hot shower (and tub), good wifi. The next morning we had a delicious buffet style breakfast with plenty of choices for either a western or eastern style breakfast. Our balcony overlooks an interconnected system of large pools with clear, clean, and inviting water. The first floor balconies are my favorite which walk right out into the pool so you can swim in and out of your room on a hot day. The beach and Main Street are a close walk but it was not too noisy. Overall, very comfortable and pleasant stay. I give it 5 stars because for the price it definitely exceeded my expectations.

Nice, clean hotel room with a beautiful pool entrance and also across the street from the beach! The staff were very kind, friendly, and accommodating. Breakfast tasted good. We used do not disturb for our trip and each day, a care package of fresh towels, coffees and soaps were delivered to our door and left for when we were ready to receive. This place is gorgeous and you will truly feel like royalty, when staying here.

My room cancelled less than a week. Booking made in august and managed got it at lower price. But because of the holiday season, Christmas, they said they cant accommodate us but room still available for sales. How unethical. Dishonest. Imagine your hotel cancelled so that they can sell with double price to Maximize profit. Your holiday not guaranteed even booking was made so early and paid. Imagine all the hassle to go through. How to even trust this kind of hotel.

Positive things first: value for money is good. We only paid €34 (approx. 1,300 THB) for a very large pool view suite (55 square meters). The style of the building and the rooms is very nice. Pool is very, very large and well maintained (and a good alternative to the dirty water at the beaches in the whole area). Negatives: Staff and service: The staff is mostly unfriendly, many are not helpful and seem annoyed. One staff at reception would rather make private calls and play on their cell phones than take care of the guests and then point out that a taxi cannot be called (refusal to work?!). Towels don't smell good. It can happen that cleaners take towels with them and don't add new ones (this not only happened to us, but also to at least 2 other guests during our short stay). The staff doesn't apologize and forgets to take care of it, we and other guest have to ask twice. another guest supposedly waited 2 hours for towels. Rooms are not cleaned sufficiently, especially the floor, which can quickly become dirty, the floor towel was stained right from the start and wasn't changed once in 5 nights. Breakfast: is very small and in the basement without a window and only from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. If, like us, you have booked early tours and activities every day and have to leave before 8 a.m. it's a shame. Therefore no assessment of the quality as we only saw the food. Rooms and facilities: In our case, one bed was ok, only a few springs were out of place and another bed was bad, you sit on it and it bends to the side. The complex just looks like a ghost house, it seems very old, but apart from the pool it is very unkempt, the plants are growing everywhere, stuff and materials are lying around in some corners, the floor and facades need more care. The pool area is completely paved. General about the location: it is quiet and remote, everything is very overgrown. The beach is almost in front of the door but not suitable for swimming. The rivers that flow into there are something between gray, black, silver-blue and stink, it mix with the sea water to form a cloudy soup, which is generally the case for the beaches on the mainland in the area. To swim, it's best to take a long boat to Rai Leh or visit islands. Large night market nearby but a little more expensive than usual. Overall it was ok, its cheap so you can not espect too much.

tl;dr: a run-down, cast-away pompous den that has seen better days. The terrible review is due not so much to the poor service and amenities, but to the fact that they have the nerve to label it as a 5-star "resort". I stayed here 3 nights with my mum and her partner for NYE 22. Upon early arrival, we were not allowed to do early check-in. Our bags were kept without any supervision at the front. The whole hotel looked abandoned and seriously understaffed: a lonely, overwhelmed agent at the reception struggled to understand basic instructions in English (such as servicing a bottle of water from a fridge she had literally two steps to her left), and the manager was unpolite at managing requests. In the rooms, the floors were covered in dust, the bedsheets reeked of humidity and showed dirt spots, there were no toiletries, only two medium-size towels were provided, the lighting was dark and eerie and wi-fi was as good as non-existent. The most shocking part was returning to the hotel two days in a row after 18.00 only to find the rooms had NOT been cleaned. When complaining, the cleaning staff laughed at us and argued that they were very tired cause they have had to clean 60 rooms that day (well, definitely not ours, and excuse me, there was no way that almost-empty hotel had 60 guests at that time). And don't get me started with breakfast: powder orange juice, a very scarce variety of eggs, stale cereal and that's it. In all, it seems this might have been a decent place to stay back in the 70s, before Krabi became a touristic hot spot. It doesn't come anywhere near 5-star standard (most likely 2, and that's an overstatement). Maybe the hotel is struggling to recover after covid-related business halt, but, under the current management, I wouldn't be surprised if it went out of business sooner than later. Very disappointed.

So-so. I guess you get what you pay for. Aircon didn’t work at all during our 3 night stay. Upon alerting reception we were told it was due to a localized power outage, however upon investigation we found this to be a lie. It’s alright if you’re on a budget, but rather go elsewhere if at all possible.

Its probably the WORST HOTEL I have ever visited. Cannot understand how people can give ratings above 1 star. Pictures are well photoshopped or 30 years old. Stayed there for 2 hours, only because i had to argue with them about my money. Manager didn‘t want to refund my money even if paid directly on the check-in. All 5 rooms i‘ve seen were smelling like wet jungle earth and fungus. 100% not healthy breathing this! Furniture and walls partly destroyed. Pools in the backyard „garden“ half full (dangerous). Best advice: DO NOT SLEEP HERE

We would probably not stay here again. The rooms smell musky and the air conditioning was leaking onto the end of our bed. The balcony view we had was really nice but that’s about all I can say. The breakfast is less than to be desired. It really could use an overhaul. Staff was friendly enough. Close to a lot of things, night market, beach, restaurants, etc. our experience staying here was not the best.

Location: This hotel has great location, extremely close to the beach, restaurants, convenience stores and night market... so 5 stars for location. Food:The hotel does not provide room service and only offers a select breakfast and lunch menu which we did not try. It does have a small selection of drinks, chips and ice cream at the lobby that you can buy. Rooms: we had two pool access rooms, they were suites but seemed old and not very well kept. However the suites on the first floor were very well maintained and looked much better. The pool access was fun for us since we were travelling with a toddler who enjoyed the water. Kids play area.... that was a bonus and my child had a blast.

Great property, but mismanaged. The have all the facilities but they do not use it. 1. Huge infrastructure - nobody using it. 2. Great swiming pool with bar counter - not functional 3. Great ambience and beach view - but they turn off all fhe lights in the evening. 4. Great dinning space - but used only for breakfast. They have all the things too good but need to make this place more lively. Even the room lights are too low ambience. I had to check out early at 5 am but to my surprise all the lights in the passage were turned off. Its scary some time as not all the tourist of guest are used to such things.

Last weekend, I spent two nights at this newer property. I had reserved two rooms on the same floor. What a fantastic find! Excellent location; I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel; The front desk and hotel staff were extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. They always smiled and greeted us. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, and it was prepared by their chef,The hotel is at an excellent location. The rooms were large and well-equipped with all of the necessities. We will return again and again. …

An absolutely lovely and incredible place. Gigantic and colourful. I can't give our stay a 5 star review because it was really quiet because of covid. If the hotel was a bit more lively the stay would have been amazing. The staff is really kind and helpful. I hope tourism returns because they deserve a full hotel

Great place! Showers were hot, bed was comfy and the service was amazing. Manager at this hotel was extremely lovely and helpful and breakfast was good too. Location is amazing, just in front of the beach and short walk to shops and local night market for yummy food. Highly recommend! Only downside was wifi was a bit weak in the room, but we had data on our phones so it didn’t bother us too much Thank you for our wonderful stay! :)

We stayed 5 nights in this hotel. The rooms are huge the pool is amazing and its 3 minutes walk from the beach next to shops and restaurants. Its a copy of the kings palace in Bangkok. What made our stay excellent in this place was the hotel manager and the stuff that were so helpful with everything. Highly recommended

We stayed at Ayodhaya Palace on Koh Phi Phi in May, and I can't tell you how much we loved it. The staff were all so friendly, and the hotel itself is beautiful. The view from our room was amazing—you could see the entire beach at sunset, and then the mountains in the distance were lit up at night. We had a room with a king-sized bed and separate living room area with a couch, which was perfect for our family of four.

The room was absolutely beautiful and spacious. The staff were very accommodate, friendly and efficient. The hotel has a lagoon pool where it connects with pool access room. The whole resort is beautiful and well kept, ideally for the family travellers with young kids. Our favourite place was the lagoon pool which was never full. Our kids are already asking when we will be back here again!!!

Superb property to live in. The location is amazing. It's one of the oldest property on Aonang beach. It's been made according to the old forms of big temples. The pool area almost covers 30% of the property. Sample of space in the rooms in the lobby in the gardens also for the sun Bathing people. This hotel lacks in only one thing that is service. They don't have cleaning staff at night. Nobody to carry your luggages to your respective rooms. Untrained staff. Location is really good as it is at the start of the Aonang beach and you can walk towards south of after coming outside the hotel and the whole Lane is lit up with small bars and shopping places. Also nearby the night market is building up, hope in near future that place should be the most attractive place.

Great hotel with valuable pricing. The team of staff were very accommodating and attentive. Our children love playground area, so we were able to relax by the pool. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a great variety of offerings. The resort was spotless and organised. With only a few minutes walk to the beach. A great family resort for everyone, highly recommended

Perfect location, friendly service. The location is excellent, the building is charming, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. It's in a perfect location. Very near to krabi beach. Service is friendly and accommodating. When I arrived they recommended some places to eat which turned out to be great. Simple room but well-equipped and in good condition. Good breakfast spread.

This must have been an amazing hotel back in the day! Being such a big hotel it's going to be hard to maintain as it gets old. The pools are good enough It would be great if the swim up bar was used. Cheap and cheerful rough around the edges

I am a travel agent from Gujarat India and have been suggesting this property to my clients for quite some time. I must say the staff is going an extra mile to make sure the guests care comfortable and are well taken care off. They offer good food and variety in their buffet breakfast. The location and traditional thai architecture is the high selling point of the place. They have a very bug swimming pool and have plunge pool rooms for honey moon couples. Definitely recommended.

All of the staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. I loved how they spoke English, as I had never stayed in an international hotel before. The room we stayed in was nice and clean, but it would have been nicer if it had a fan. But overall, the stay was great!

We had a wonderful time at this resort. It's a little more secluded than other resorts in the area, but it's still very close to the beach and other hotels. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, especially when it came to helping us with questions we had about our trips around Thailand and the surrounding areas.

We stayed at Ayodhaya Palace Krabi Beach Resort for four nights and had a wonderful time. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was amazing. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a great pool area and nice views across the ocean. The rooms were spacious and clean, but our bathrooms were a little dated.

I have been to Ayodhaya Palace on many occasions and can only say that it is one of the best places I have ever stayed. The staff are friendly, courteous and efficient. The rooms are large and luxurious, with a beautiful view of the sea. It is a perfect place for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with their partner or family. If you love nature, this is the place!

I had the best time at this resort. The staff was so kind and friendly, and they really made me feel like I was part of their family. I loved the food, too--it was delicious! And the location is beautiful. It's right on the beach, which is great if you want to relax while getting some sun.

This place is the best resort I've been to in Thailand. It's a beautiful place, and the staff is great. The food is amazing, and you can get it served to you on the beach if you want! They also have a spa onsite with lots of great things to do. The service is impeccable, and they really make you feel like you're home. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxing vacation at an affordable price!

This is a big hotel and impressive, but currently operating minimally, so don't expect 5 stars, the rooms are very good though and very big, it is located close to the night market and beach . The pool is extensive but looks a bit run down, it needs new unbarellas and a good tidy up, as the beach does not have sun loungers. If it gets fully operational it will be an amazing place

Short and sweet stay at  Ayodhaya Palace Krabi Beach Resort.Stylish  palace look   and great American food and drink offering. We stayed at the lower floors it was amazing to see that the room had direct access to the common pool, which was a different experience for us Felt safe and well taken care of throughout the entire stay ! Perfect. Location is unbeatable ! What puts them a cut above the rest is their professional and courteous staff.

I agree with some other reviews that the staff do go the extra mile to help their customers. Despite a language barrier, they were still super helpful and patient with me and helped me get a taxi from the airport to the hotel and back to the airport after my stay ended. The location was right in front of the beach, about a 20 minute walk or so to the night market and the other super busy beach. This was great because I was able to go out during the day and enjoy the markets but come back to a quiet hotel and not loud noises happening outside. The pool is also huge and my room was super big (I was upgraded randomly but super appreciated).

We feels like we're living in the Palace! All rooms have pool view. Quiet, private, friendly staff especially the manager 😀. At the moment the restaurant is closed but there are plenty of cafes and restaurants near the hotel within walking distance 😉
