Absolutely horrendous experience from start to finish! Avoid at all costs. Whilst staying here with my friends, my Apple Watch went missing from the room when nobody else was. There was nobody else staying in the room at that time other than me and my friends. Suspiciously however, a worker admitted to entering a room to return a charger that we borrowed from another guest. I asked about my watch and was simply told they can’t do nothing about it, and they refused to look on the cctv to see who else may have entered our LOCKED room. The only people who had access to the room would have been my group and the workers. Seems very obvious to me what happened here. This same male worker also made me and my friends feel extremely uncomfortable throughout our stay. On our first day, he asked me for my number or social media details and when I kindly turned handing these over, he proceeded to ask my friend the same and asked if she was single. He continued to look at us in a very disturbing way throughout our stay, and made it very clear he was peeking into our room whenever we were coming out it and he was nearby. This isn’t a way to make some young girls feel very safe in our hands. Don’t stay here if you wish to have a pleasant and safe stay.

Just go to a different hostel, the only positive thing about this one is a pretty good location, and everything else is bad. The place and everything in it is old, feels kind of gross, the kitchen and the bathrooms/shower were pretty dirty. The room itself was fine, the bed was okay, but the lockers aren't safe, and since the dormitories are mostly mixed, and the people there are mostly old creeps (it's called a youth hostel, but it's actually just old creeps), so they will probably go through your stuff while you're not there, like my roommate did. Also if you come in the morning to check in, they probably won't answer when you ring the bell, so you have to wait for someone to exit so you can go in. Overall it doesn't feel safe, it's not pleasant and i stayed only one of the two nights i booked, cause i couldn't stay in that place. You can find a much better place for the same price, and that's what you should do

Avoid the hostel at all costs, they are liars and thorough unprofessional. I informed the hostel on call and email that I may come after 10pm, please make sure that my previous day’s card works. I was told my card would work but it didn’t and there was no one to help you. I could not even get in to the hostel and stay out at night. I asked for a refund and the receptionist misbehaved and asked me to leave. Also, do read all the other reviews and the EPIC REPLIES OF THE HOSTEL. Even if you get a room for free avoid this at any cost

I do not recommend this hostel. Told the staff about bedbugs and they didn't care. There are much nicer hostels in the city cheaper or the same price with better amenities.

It's dry and more or less cheap... There is just no love and respect. The stuff even took my things from the bathroom and afterwards ignored my questions as well as me as a human being in a really condescending way. Maybe I am just too sensitive but in my opinion just based on love and respect we can be together! So if you don't care about the energy of your surrounding I totally recommend you to come here... Sorry for this negative review but my stay here affected me really negative and I will need some time to process now...

The reception closes at 10pm and if by chance your key doesn’t work, you’d be stuck outside the hostel and they won’t bother helping you. The staff is so unprofessional and rude that they did not bother to apologise. Never ever stay here.

This is an amazing hostel. They expect you to understand English from the get go. This is because they at first assume you don't. They will charge your credit card and then as send polite mails to state "we will charge your credit card if you stay with us". Go here for a lesson in guest relations and an amazing stay. Also make sure you can pay! Else they'll charge you ten Euros for a late check in.

SCAMSTERS ! BEWARE ! I warn everyone to not stay here, because these people have deducted extra money from my card (since I booked from their website and they had my card details), and are not refunding it ! I talked to the person in hostel over call, who was rude and denied that there was any transaction, even when I showed him my bank statement, which he asked me. He asked me to wait and said if there's extra deduction, it'll be refunded, but it's been 2 months, but no refund. He then asked me to send an email to their official email address, and even after sending repeated emails, did not reply to me ! I tried calling them again, but as soon as the person on the other end realised it's me, he cut the call, and now they don't even receive my call. I booked this because it was a cheap hostel, but it turned out to me an expensive mistake, because the hostel is no delight either - there was no reception, and we had to wait outside the hostel for an hour, while we tried contacting them to know how to check in. The kitchen was very dirty too with soiled dishes, And their rude staff makes it even worse (as you can see from their replies to other people's comments, they don't even have the basic manners to talk on a public forum, so you can imagine how bad their behaviour is in person). I very strongly recommend to not book this hostel - get another hostel - it might be a couple of euros expensive, but at least you won't risk your money being stolen. And if you're left with no option on earth and have to take this, at least use a reliable third party mediator like hostelworld, and never, ever, put your card details on their website (which was a mistake I made and I am regretting).

Dont believe to them. The MAN on reception with black beard and short black hair, steal money from me. He wanted from me 50€ deposit to Stay for night. And also he Said to me that i can take In the morning. When i wanted to check out he wasnt there and he didn’t give me money. Its not sade to Stay there. And they dont wanna send a money to me!

***************WARNING************** I highly recommend never viewing this place. On arrival we were demanded to pay 15€ extra that was never demanded before, plus we were charged 8€ for the towels which is ridiculous as we were already paying a handsome fee to stay. The beds were very uncomfy and unstable and noisy, there weren’t even any bed sheets so god knows what diseases were on the bed, plus a bunch of underwear thrown all around the hostel, we really don’t know what to make of this, the kitchen was also a disgrace. We were smoking outside the back thinking it’s a smoking area like there should be in every hostel and since there weren’t any signs of warning for no smoking, and there was an ashtray there so we assumed it was okay to smoke there, until some lady came all rude and asked us to stop smoking, which we did do and apologised for it and stopped smoking ever since, next thing we know we were kicked out in the rudest way possible at 9 A.M, overall we really wouldn’t recommend this place, and if we could give it a 0 instead of a 1 if we could.

Horrible. I booked a bed with them, but was arriving only late in the night. When I reached the hostel, there was no one at the reception and the doors were wide open (so not sure of safety either). I called at the number and he asked for my booking details, to which he said he will have to cancel my booking. Later, he even stopped taking my calls. At 2am, despite having numerous empty beds and me having a booking, I was left on the streets to find a bed at 2am. You might as well stay at the metro station, rather than stay with Arc house.

Avoid! It's super stuffy, the kitchen lacks basics like utensils and the cards to the room may stop working in the middle of the night - so then you have no room and you need to sleep on the couch in the living room. Where for some reason the lights go on and off constantly. All that fun for 40€+.

We stayed in a private room which included two towels, an AC and extra blankets. Having booked on short notice we were glad to find something so affordable which still had everything we needed for our stay. We were also able to leave our bags there before and after check-in.

The hostel is not that clean and the light in the female’s shower keeps going on and of, so you either shower in the dark or you keep waving so the light turns back on. Except for the Brazilian guy, I found the staff quite unfriendly. Only good thing is the location. Also AC in the room (but lockers don’t look too safe).

They accommodated us in separate rooms even if it was one reservation and they confirmed putting us in the same room during phone call before. They convinced us to book a room on their page and not via Booking and that's why they were able to charge us without prior notice after we left, for something we haven't done (which was proven and that's why the bank took our money back from them). When I saw money is missing from my account, I tried to contact them but they knew we left so they can be rude to us;))) hostel itself was dirty, cockroaches were running through the kitchen and people stole our food even if was marked. my worst hostel experience so far

Very expensive. Lighting in females showers did not work so you either had to shower in the dark (no lights at all on day 1) or have a disco (light would flicker on for a few seconds and then you were in the dark again on day 2/3). Rooms were small and not preserved well at all. Wasn't clean. Served its purpose but was unbearably expensive at something like 340euros for 2 nights.

If i could leave a 0 stars I would. Absolutely disgusting place and zero customer service. Bed sheets had blood and brownish stains all over them.

Probably one of the worst experiences in bcn. They overcharged me because I didn't arrive on time even after speaking with them through whatsapp. No privacy on the shared rooms, small lockers, no soap on the bathrooms. I'd recommend St Cristopher's Inn if you're looking for a serious place.

Wow, I was about to recommend this place to a visiting friend but reading how they reply to the reviews I can tell they’re very unprofessional. Advice, if you’re managing a business make sure the person who replies the review does it in a professional language, you’re scaring away potential guests. Too much anger in the way this person writes, it makes Arc House look very bad to the public.

I won't bore you with the details. My advice is simple: don't do it! The only good thing about this place is the proximity to the park and the arc. The staff isn't friendly, the place has no good vibes, it's dark and sterile, and the shower didn't have hot water. Oh and you have to give your credit card details as a bond for the key card. It's rediculous. Again: just don't do this to yourself.

Friendly staff, clean facilities and comfy beds. Stayed for only one night but could still leave our luggage here for the day.

😢👎🏽 The worst place to stay in my whole life !! Never recommend!! Awfully. Impossible to sleep - always from 11 pm to 5 am someone is coming to the room. Make noise a lot under your ear, snoring like hell!! The bathroom is so far from the room like in old dormitory . Cold to walk . AND most Importantly- The reception guy took 50 euro from my bank card !!!! For nothing , at night, I got announced from my app . They stole my money for nothing . Tomorrow I am going to police . As that guy is weird and no sense to talk to. I was going to send money to my mom in Ukraine where is war!!now . And I can’t believe it!!!

perfect for a week in barcelona for cheap ! Rooms are great and clean, bathrooms too. Hosts are so nice and really help us to find the best spots in Barcelona ! Maicon is the guy to know to have the best time here !

It is a great hostel to stay at, there are some minor issues, but you're never going to find a perfect place for a cheap price. I booked a private room and it was nice, the common area was peaceful and a perfect spot to read. Overall I enjoyed my stay

This hostel was well kept and was clean all the time. The desk workers were polite and it was simple to check in and out. What I was not fond of were how uncomfortable the “pillows” were. They were hardly even pillows. Not comfortable to sleep on. The showers were a pain for the men. Having to hold down the button to release the water is inconvenient. Those need to be switched out. Also one of the most annoying features were the lights. When hanging out in the common area. You could not just enjoy it without the light turning on and off flickering every 5 seconds. They need to stay on longer! When trying to watch movies in the common room, most of them were scratched so you couldn’t watch them. It was very unfortunate.

I don’t know why this has so many one stars. Pretty decent hostel with clean rooms and good AC, and clean public areas as well. Kitchen was bad though, they need to buy some more plates. And a dishwasher as some prople certainly don’t know how to wash dishes.

This a great hostel to stay, clean and great staff, we really enjoyed our stay, very well located. I recommend without any doubt !
