I'll
make
a
very
objective
review
because
I
dislike
rating
any
establishment
under
three
stars.
However,
I
feel
the
hotel
staff
and
other
aspects
gave
me
no
choice.
Please
note
that
my
review
is
based
on
my
experience
and
particular
needs.
It
may
not
apply
to
everyone.
But
I
wouldn't
have
booked
if
I
read
a
similar
review.
I
hope
this
could
help
some
people
when
making
their
decision.
Here
goes:
1)
LOCATION
-
I
would
give
this
a
1
star.
If
you're
visiting
Bari
to
experience
the
old
town,
this
isn't
where
you
want
to
stay.
It's
in
a
residential
area
with
nothing
going
on.
It's
very
far
from
the
city
center.
Their
website
saying
it's
a
"few
steps
away
from
Bari
city
centre"
is
false
advertising.
I
just
came
back
from
the
city
center,
and
the
place
was
busy.
The
weather
was
particularly
nice
today
so
there
were
plenty
of
people
(locals
and
tourists)
sitting
outdoors
and
walking
around
the
small
parks.
Immediately,
I
wished
I
booked
at
a
hotel
closer
to
the
center
where
I
can
walk
around
and
return
to
my
hotel
room
on
foot.
I
would
have
stayed
longer
outside.
When
I
was
heading
out
to
the
city
center
around
6:30
pm,
I
tried
to
check
if
there
are
buses
that
go
to
the
center.
I
asked
the
front
desk
what
the
options
for
transportation
are,
and
they
just
brushed
me
off
and
bluntly
said,
"taxi."
Then
they
told
me
to
go
outside
and
look
for
one.
I
found
a
cab.
The
driver
said
there's
a
15
euro
flat
rate
from
the
hotel
to
the
center.
For
travelers
watching
their
budget,
that's
an
easy
30
euros/day
for
a
mere
round
trip
to
town.
This
means
you
can't
keep
going
back
and
forth
once
you
leave
your
hotel
unless
you
want
to
keep
paying
15
euros
per
trip.
I
think
this
is
a
bit
too
much
extra
daily
expense
on
top
of
the
premium
I'm
already
paying
to
stay
at
a
hotel
that
rates
itself
a
4-star
hotel
but
has
rundown
facilities.
Bottom
Line:
The
location
is
not
ideal
if
you
want
to
enjoy
early
morning
or
late
night
walks
in
town
or
if
you
want
to
have
the
chance
to
go
in
and
out
of
your
hotel
within
the
day.
I
really
regret
not
choosing
the
Best
Western
located
in
town
just
because
it's
3-star
and
Nicolaus
is
4-star.
I
have
two
more
nights
left,
and
I'm
not
so
happy
about
it.
If
you
have
a
car
or
you're
just
here
to
use
the
spa,
this
wouldn't
apply
to
you
as
much.
2)
CUSTOMER
SERVICE
-
3
stars.
I
don't
think
they
care
much
about
the
customers,
or
as
some
reviewers
have
already
mentioned,
they
seem
to
be
picky/discriminatory.
I
experienced
a
similar
thing
as
one
of
the
previous
reviewers.
They
attended
to
other
people
more,
even
if
I
was
ahead
in
line.
When
I
ask
a
question,
they
look
like
they're
being
dragged
into
doing
something
very
difficult.
I
am
not
sure
what
made
them
act
that
way,
but
I
am
an
Asian
female
traveling
solo
from
NYC.
Which
one
of
those
adjectives
made
them
think
they
can
discriminate
against
my
ability
to
pay
or
be
treated
with
respect
remains
to
be
seen.
Last
week,
I
was
staying
at
a
5-star
luxury
hotel
in
Rome
(Baglioni
Hotel
Regina
-
a
member
of
the
Leading
Hotels
of
the
World),
and
their
customer
service
was
impeccable.
As
far
as
I
know,
I
was
still
Asian
and
a
female
traveling
solo
at
that
time.
Bottom
Line:
This
hotel
needs
to
review
its
culture
of
customer
service
and
retrain
its
staff
to
treat
every
customer
equally
or
at
least
with
a
minimum
level
of
respect
regardless
of
demographics.
It's
so
tacky
and
tasteless
for
a
wanna-be
luxury
hotel
to
allow
discriminatory
practices
that
seem
to
be
a
common
complaint
in
reviews.
3)
FREE
AIRPORT
SHUTTLE
-
be
aware
that
this
is
not
applicable
all
the
time.
There's
a
specific
schedule
(which
they
should
post
on
their
website).
If
your
flight
doesn't
fall
within
the
schedule
or
if
there
are
more
than
six
people,
the
"free
airport
shuttle"
service
they
offer
doesn't
apply.
Bottom
Line:
This
was
the
main
reason
I
booked
this
hotel
instead
of
one
closer
to
the
city.
Without
the
ability
to
use
this
service,
there's
really
no
other
reason
to
choose
this
hotel.
