Loved my actual stay but management is domineering. Invasive. Inconsiderate. Staff is helpful but does cave to domineering management, at times. Bed bugs appeared in room 132; I was accused of complaining about them, after showing many bites on arms and chest and wrists; I was asked to leave after "complaining" and management not believing me, also asked to leave after paying late though I've paid for a room every day. Accosted and accused by staff and management repeatedly in front of other customers and then "why don't you just find another hotel?" when I brought up bed bugs again. Management refers to guests by their room number, to their face and over the phone to employees. Standard practice? Or just the full package, here at the Lodge? Can hardly rate higher than current rating on Google. ...

Bed Bugs, do not stay. Unless you want to wake up with bites from head to toe.

Do not ever go here. Whole place smells like pee and cigarettes. Many people running from room to room. Very sketchy and not safe. Do not ever waste your time here or your money

This place was HORRIBLE! I don't recommend it at all. In the first room they gave us, the phone didnt work, the toilet was plugged up and the sink was clogged. They put us in another room and none of the fixtures had light bulbs in them! The room looked and smelled dirty too. The one thing that was kind of nice to find out was that they had smoking rooms. So I suppose if you don't need to use their phone or get ahold of them, see anything in the room, use a toilet or sink or sleep in/on the bed it's not so bad, but like I said, I wouldn't recommend it.

Clean. Friendly. Hotel was close to everything. The only bad thing was the pillows. Flat and hard. Like a cement pillow. We ended up with necks hurting. We told the front desk. She pretended to not understand, but then said they have other pillows just haven't put them out. I would stay again, but would get cheap pillows from Walmart first. Lol

BEDBUGS. When the owner showed up for her shift, she refunded me before I got to the desk and apologized. I had them in a baggie. I spent the rest of the night sleeping in my car. Wish I had drilled down in the reviews a bit more to see previous, recent issues with this. Otherwise, it seems like she really tries to run a decent place. But you canโ€™t fumigate single rooms. It has to be an entire building.

Be careful when making reservations by getting it in writing. Otherwise you will end up with no room when you arrive.

Randy went above and beyond his duty! Accidently left some expensive items in the room and he tracked us down and mailed them back on his own time. So nice to see honest, kind people. Thanks Randy!!

Worst hotel ever. Halls strong smoke smell this same smell was in the rooms but not as bad. Not enough pillows, and the pillows are flat and not comfortable. Dirty and worn carpets inside and out. Baseboards are all torn out with dirty and rough walls underneath where the baseboards were. We were to stay two nights but left after one night. We didnt want another night with a poor sleep due to the smell.

The staff and owner are outstanding! The waffle breakfast is great, they make breakfast for you! The rooms are clean and very accommodating. Truly no complaints from my family. Well worth your money and very welcoming.

Does the job of being four walls, a roof and a bed. Halls smell of bad disinfectant, cigarette smoke, and body odor. The rooms are maintained, but not clean. The beds are uncomfortable; I slept on top of the quilt. The staff seemed genuinely surprised that we would stay here. Would not recommend.

We had a great experience here!!! Every staff member that we interacted with was so kind and helpful. Our room was clean and tidy. Waffle breakfast was great. They have a small laundry room for guests, and the front desk can help with getting quarters. And, itโ€™s very close to Mt Baker! Would absolutely come again if we are back in the area.

Bedbugs in that place. Hopefully when they come out to feed from the walls youโ€™re not lunch! From my experience there in the bigger jacuzzi room. This business owner claims not so but there so big itโ€™s undeniable and so small you canโ€™t see them!

An average 2 star hotel. The positive upsides are the Waffle breakfast, the sauna and hot tub,(pool closed for winter)and the hotel employees. They have always been friendly and helpful.

The location is good, close to the freeway and grocery store and food places. The lodge itself is ok, it's clean for the most part and the rooms are ok as well. Nothing special. You get what u pay for lol

I loved that the Sehome Hill Arboretum was a short 5 min walk. I spent hours and hours there. The staff, and especially the owner, were polite yet firm. Find another place to party, this isn't like the other motels. Seriously, go elsewhere if that's what you want.

My experience with this establishment was outstanding! As a bicycle tourist flying in from out of state, I needed special accommodation. The staff at the Bellingham Lodge remained flexible, allowing me to ship my bike to their facility. They were friendly and welcoming to boot! Thanks again to these folks!

Breakfast waffles were awesome when we woke up. Service was all friendly and helpful and the place was clean and tidy. Best of all had the most affordable room rates around in the area. Id recommend to family and friends for sure!!

Just meh. Toilet tank in our room leaks, so every five minutes the toilet noisily refills the tank. Carpets are dirty. They've been vacuumed, but they need a carpet cleaning. Staff is polite and efficient. WiFi has worked well.

We stayed one night, regretfully. Front desk attendant was rude. Called to report that our toilet wouldn't flush, he said he'd make a note of it, wasn't anything he could do. I asked for a refund or a room change - no to both. We slept in our clothes on top of the blankets on the bed. We were afraid to touch the floor without shoes. We were in the room for maybe 12 hours, yet were covered in BED BUG BITES from staying there. Just reading through reviews now and I see that 3 weeks ago someone stayed in room 132 and reported bed bugs... we stayed in 130!! Seriously AVOID, AVOID, AVOID this place. Ick.

Friends booked a hotel with a similar description and I booked this one by accident and 10 minutes after booking I tried to call and cancel and was charged the cancellation fee. The girl on the phone was rude and didn't even try to accommodate. Will never stay here in the future. If she would have tried to do something I would have been happy but with her attitude... This money I paid for the cancellation will be the only money they will ever get from me. And thankful that I read the horrible reviews that I didn't stay at this place.

The office staff were courteous and kind. The building and room had a unique odor. The pool and hot tub were out of service. The beds are not the most comfortable. A plus was the free waffle breakfast. One waffle per person. And free coffee!

Friendly staff was impressed. Was given a handicap room after the clerk saw me come in and worked with me by taking cash instead of using a debit card and using a down payment witch usually takes four working days to get the down payment back.

Cheap rooms which is good but the front desk can mind their own business.

Had a good relaxing week here , enjoyed the sauna and had a good night sleep . Friendly front desk staff . Cons : hallway needs fresh air and Carpet powder.
