The hotel is very well decorated. You can play ping pong in the hall. You have many different place to relax. The coffee is for free including espresso. The staff is charming

Such a nice place! Beds are comfortable and the rooms overall are clean. There was some things that could be a little cleaner but overall it was fine. Bathrooms are huge and the shower is super nice. A great place if you’re staying in Bergen. There’s also a nice gym and the breakfast is good. Snacks are available if you need them too.

Nice trendy hotel in the heart of the city. A short walk to Strandkaienterminalen. Breakfast had good selection of different dishes. Staff is friendly and will fulfill your needs.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! There is a port in walking distance to the hotel if you need to take a Fjord cruise or something similar, The room was of a very good size and well-maintained. The breakfast area can get quite crowdy when it is closing time. So my suggestion is to go for breakfast a little early if you don't want to struggle finding an empty chair. I was surprised how nice and helpful all the receptionists at the hotel were! Truly one of a kind. We sat on the sofa near the reception for quite some time after checking out and saw how well they helped the guests.

The location was central but not in a crowded area, therefore it was a good mix between quietness and proximity to the city centre. The hotel itself is basic but still well equipped and clean. The rooms and the toilets are quite spacious even if the view is not the greatest. The mini-shop at the reception is a great idea for a snack or coffee anytime. We had some mishap around the breakfast, as the information provided on the website was different than reality, and that led to a last minute change of plans. The kitchen helped us in the end but we would have loved some assistance from the reception prior to that!

Clean but very small rooms. Although there is a spare brain, it is not comfortable for three people. No safe, no wardrobe. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious.

Rooms very basic for the price, no double beds, only 2 singles. Great breakfast, location and free local car charging.

Nice hotel with helpful staff and a delicious breakfast. Just a few blocks from the ferry terminal and plenty of restaurants. Good value.

Nice hotel with a town center close position, good breakfast. Regular size rooms, at the hotel they didn't change our towels on the grounds that they usually change them every 3 nights, which really doesn't make sense, since you can't use towels for more than a day or two at most, we had to go to the reception and ask for towels at the reception, they treated us with patience and kindness and agreed to give us towels. In my opinion, this procedure damages the hotel's reputation, and I recommend that they change it.

Breakfast was exceptional, rooms were perfectly sufficient, appreciated the message on the bathroom mirror telling us that the tap water was safe to drink. Location was a touch further than we would have liked for public transport but very close to a laundry service.

Only good thing about this hotel is the location. Terrible rooms, terrible service. -Windows in hotel room, which you cannot open at all almost. Only a tiny slither at the top -No heater/cooler, the thermostat in the room is just a display which does nothing -No fridge in room -No kettle in room -No bidet in toilet If you order at the restaurant, expect 0 service. Called a Social restaurant, but far from it, no s You have to walk from one end of the hotel to the other to pick up your drink. The staff do nothing. One person doing three jobs at reception "Barception".

Wi-Fi in this hotel is a disaster, there is a constant connection without Internet. The waitress was not nice, as if she was forced to work. The breakfast lasted until 9:30 and at 9:00 she was gathering everything. When I asked if I could have another roll, she said no. and then I saw that she ate it herself. There is a lot of dust under the beds, so a night in such a hotel would be difficult for an allergy sufferer. There is no kettle in the rooms.

My stay here was pleasant. In walking distance of all of the big tourist sites. Clean and receptionists were kind. No washing machine for clothes on the premises. They send laundry out.

I hate that there is only one pillow in the single person room. And the towels were extremely small. No trash can in the room, only a small one in the bathroom. Great location and generally a nice budget hotel, and the beds were comfortable 😊

Small hotel in the centrum of Bergen. Very close to the harbour, at walking distance from the city centrum. The rooms are clean, with a large bathroom. They have a very efficient and friendly staff. Good breakfast with very wide variety of different options available… good coffee and juice.

I moderately priced hotel that is clean and comfortable. Good sized room with a nice view in an ok location. No fridge in the room which would have been useful.

Nice clean rooms, good and friendly service. The breakfast is a highlight as it is very diverse and substantial, even for a vegan a lot to find like chia Coco pudding, oat Joghurt, plantbased milk and much more. The staff was always friendly and helpful.

My thoughts are mixed. The hotel is well located, they even have a few parking spots in their own garage for a fee (I think 250 NOK per day). Rooms are small, too small for two people and normal luggage. Our room and the hotel seemed like they needed better maintenance. Breakfast was nothing special and a bit crowded.

  • 3/5 Bjørn A. 2 years ago on Google
You get what you pay for, its a cheapish Hotel with rooms that could get a bit more attention. Our room had quite alot small damages and crocked bathroomdoor. The bed was good and breakfast pleasing. Great location with Close proximity to City center.

Very nice stay in Bergen Was greeted by a very nice receptionist when I checked in. He saw that I was a member of their chain and offered me the benefits it provides. Then gave the information I needed and explained the way to the elevator. All with kindness and a big smile. It gave a very good start to a good stay. Asked at check in for room with view and high up. I got it in room 616 which had a balcony. I think most rooms do not have a balcony or that view. So a tip is to ask and if they are available, you will get enough. The room was clean. And that's the most important thing for me. Not very big and the bathroom was even smaller. But it is more than enough for two people visiting this city. Even though the room is clean, it appears to be somewhat worn over time. You can see it on the scraped panel stove, scraper and other things on the walls, the bedding has some smaller holes and is worn (but comfortable to sleep in). When there are better times for the hotel industry, it would not cost much to raise the standard a little. Breakfast has everything you need, but does not appear very exciting. You can see there are some measures taken that raise it from basic, and there is a lot of staff at work. But it's a long way up to the city's best breakfast and there is constantly empty for some products during the breakfast. Then it is important to know that the Comfort hotels at Nordic Choice Hotels are the most affordable. I have often stayed in Quality hotels in the past and the standard is one notch or two up. So for what you pay here for the rooms with breakfast it is very good value! And the very best value here is those who work here. Whether it is night guards, cleaners or others. There are always positive answers if you want something. And accompanying smile. Otherwise there is a bar here if you wish. And from Bybanen it may be around 10-15 minutes to walk. So it is centrally located in Bergen. Can definitely recommend this hotel for the price against the standard one gets.

Booked a single room for two nights, asked in booking for high floor and got to the top. My room even had a small balcony which was a great surprise. Nice room, great bed and bathroom, very clean. Super friendly reception staff, and also the house keeping always smiled and greeted you when I crossed them in the hall. Breakfast was of high quality too.

This was an extraordinarily BAD hotel experience! We came with a 10 year old kid and booked via booking.com paying upfront. We have also specified at the website there will be 3 of us including the child and its age however at the reception it turned out they want to charge us 250 NOK extra for place to sleep for the child. At this time the reservation was not possible to cancel free of charge and we were not informed about such cost before so we basically were manipulated into paying extra. The customer service did not care much about the situation, they told us it happened in the past with booking.com and we (the customer) should figure this out! We were also told we were lucky “they happened to have a room with extra bed available” although they actually confirmed they saw our reservation in the system and saw we booked for 3 people including kid. We book via booking.com for over 10 years and this is really the first time something like this happened. Apparently the hotel and the website have some misunderstanding however they make customer pay for it. Additionally when we went to have breakfast we were told we have 20 minutes to eat and we need to leave as there is another group coming. Not sure if this was meant to be kind of welcoming message at the entrance but it did not create a nice atmosphere at all. When it comes to the hotel itself it’s ok but not very modern and it’s not really clean. Also our bedsheets had holes in it. Attaching pictures. In addition the thermostat and toilet flush were broken. It was in fact the worst out of all hotel chains we ever stayed at when it comes to room quality and we both travelled six continents. Reasons you should avoid it: - disappointing customer service - poor quality of the room - Money scam comparing to booking.com price - lack of collaboration with booking.com with the expectation customer should handle it

Bad rooms, to far from city centre, not good breakfast, hotel garage cost 250extra and to narrow to be used by normal sized cars

I very much enjoyed my stay here! The standard room easily had enough space for two people for a couple of nights (I especially liked how large the bathroom is!). I slept comfortably through the night each time - there’s a thermostat to ensure you have the right room temperature. Everything was clean and tidy, and there are convenient hooks and benches for storage. Finally, I must note that breakfast is simply amazing - many thanks to the staff working hard to provide so many options!

Superior room? No, basic room with damaged bathroom door, (slide door fixtures fall out) and no spare pillows, no coffee or tea in room, no fridge, no ironing or any form of convenience. very basic, dont expect much at all. Would not like to see what a standard room consists of

This hotel scores well on many things. Super-helpful and lovely staff. Clean. Newly renovated. Good location, only 5 mins walking from the city center. Breakfast is basic, but with thoughtful extras, like chia-gelly-shots. Close to ample public parking spots (Klostergarasjen). Perfect if you only need a bed for the night. I picked this particular hotel for a worcation, because I have experienced that "Choice Comfort" hotels usually have a decent work desk in the room, which is good for business folks like me. I do not need luxury, but I need practicality. And, for sure, it had a good (sizey) desk with a lamp. Power socket for my laptop and gadgets as well (that is surprisingly often not the case in many hotels). But, although the room was newly renovated and spotlessly clean, the room also felt like a dystopic prison cell. Naked bulb in one corner trying to light the whole room. No coffee machine (although you could get fresh coffee in the reception area). Tapestry resembling old concrete. No pictures on the walls. Only one pillow per bed. I have strong issues with the ambience in the room. It would be so easy to make the room more comfortable. For me "worcation" means staying for much more than one night, in a room you want to stay in for an extended period of time. That is not the case here.

Great value for money. A definite advantage of the hotel is the delicious buffet breakfast. 🍳🧇 The service is very nice and helpful. Powerbanks and umbrellas can be rented at the hotel. ☂️🔌 A small but adequate gym is available for free 🏋️‍♂️

Great hotel with great service. Breakfast buffet was super good. Located nearby the city center of Bergen in Norway 🇸🇯 just a few minutes walking to Bryggen.

The one bed room is pretty small yet cozy. Breakfast included and pretty good👍🏻 Onsite parking is available, although it will not fit a large SUV. Something around the sizes of a VW Golf should fit in the on siteparking Garage just fine.
