This was my least favorite lodging of our whole trip. The room was not on the level of 5 stars as we'd requested. While the bathroom was pretty decent, the room itself was not. It very much reminded me of a motel 6. The walls had scuff marks on them. This hotel isn't equipped with any washcloths. So if you use them be sure to bring your own. Now I will say that the location of this hotel is great as it is right by the train station. However there are others that are close by as well.

Not recommendable. You have to pay extra for getting new towels etc everyday. There was no bag in the trash cans. The heat system was set to only 9° which meant a dead cold room all the time. The electricity went off one night, so there were no lights or possibilities for charging phones. And on top of that, when checking out, you get charged with city tax, so besides what you already paid, you have to pay extra WITHOUT getting notified about this beforehand. Ive never experienced such thing, really bad service for people!

I was pleasantly surprised. Room was nicer than in the photos. It wasn't loud at all (but I had room facing the patio). Stuff was very nice and professional. I didn't have breakfast because in my opinion it's too expensive - for a few euros you can grab something at the Main Station.

A very busy large hotel near the main station - though it wasn't clearly identified on leaving the station. Rooms quiet and clean. Wide choice of food at breakfast though hold on to your plates/cups if you go to top up, as the assiduous waiters will remove them asap! In fact, breakfast was too busy for comfort.

Cant fault this hotel experience. The room was spacious and comfortable with a nice bathroom and shower. The check in and check out staff were all so friendly and helpful and could speak english. The free city rail ticket was great and made our trip so much easier. A big thanks to Phillip behind the bar who gave us an adapter to use during our stay as we didnt have one! Super location and will definitely look to stay here next i go to Berlin, my favourite city!

Best hotel to stay near the Central Station. Decent four star hotel. The highlight is the free public transport Ticket provided during the stay. Also the breakfast is amazing for the price.

Room was dirty, staff were rude, shower had no hot water and toilet leaked. Also, advertises it has laundry and other facilities it does not have. Go to Motel One, same price but a thousand times better.

Good hotel with comfortable rooms. Room was quiet and modern and did not hear any train noises. Breakfast buffet had a good selection of foods and drinks. The shower sporadically went from warm water to hot water without turning the knob (#104).

Teach your staff to communicate more politely, without aggression. I didn’t have time for the checkout in the morning, so I just left the keys without paper work, followed by a lot of complaints and recommendations to get up early, I didn’t ask them for their opinion. Lived in hotel for three nights straight. The location is great. I didn't have time for breakfast, so I can't rate it. The room was frankly dirty, black stripes all over the carpet (dirt).

Superb location near main railway station. A big hotel, but still had a cosy feel. Good rooms, clean and modern. I opted to include the breakfast, which was buffet style with lots of choices and also very nice. Check in and out service was friendly and efficient. The luggage storage facility was also a huge added bonus My ony critque, the bar prices were quite expensive compared to other places. However, I still highly recommend

I spent 2 weeks at this hotel, staff was pleasant, buffet breakfast was wonderful. Rooms are basic, but very clean and the bed was comfortable. The location was ideal. 45 minute walk from all three central areas. Connections to all forms of city transit and national rail is superb. I felt at home during these 2 weeks. Thanks to all the staff. I would definitely stay again.

Hotel was in great location, and a reasonable price. The hotel was great on about every criteria except the only reason you get a hotel. To have a good nights sleep. Something you can’t do at this hotel as the thermostat will only go down to “minus 9C” which is I’m assuming 9 below normal. The rooms are unbearably hot and uncomfortable. No blankets or clothes needed for this personal sauna they call a room. I call the front desk and asked for a fan, none. I asked how I could get my room cooler and offered to pay whatever it took to get the room cooler. They recommended opening the window. We came in the beginning of May so the weather was upper 60s in the day and mid 40s at night. So that sounds great, except the window only cracks about 2” and when it is cracked the room ac doesn’t work. On top of that if you want the open window to help at all the curtains have to be wide open. Exposing your room to every room above you. It seems like all of these hotels are “going green” and saving big bucks on the air conditioning bill. Will not recommend.

Modern, well furnished hotel, close to the station and just a short distance from some key locations, Reichstag, Bundestag, Tiergarten etc. The River Spree is less the 5 minutes from the hotel, giving easy access to riverside walks, river cruises and restaurants. Typically, short stays do not benefit from automatic daily room servicing, but towels were changed when not hang up. Breakfast offered good quality food and good selection but could be quite busy at times. The ground floor dining area offered a number of separate areas where food was available and seating was provided. Room was very comfortable although ours faced onto the station platform and was just a little noisy late night and early morning.

Highly recommended. Excellent location just behind the main Hbf station, very friendly staffs, eco-friendliness and an impressive breakfast buffet option- all in a non-expensive budget. Bonus: the boarders get free transport ticket card of Berlin from the hotel authority.

Extremely well located to the train station. Rooms were fine. Reception and lobby facilities are adequate for the type of establishment it portrays itself to be. One suggestion for guests: if you don’t want house-keeping to barge into your room unannounced day after day, put a Do Not Disturb sign on your door by 8am. To be fair, they do say “Housekeeping” once they are already standing in the room and looking at you.

Excellent hotel, greatly located just next to Berlin main Station. The station is city center, making this hotel perfectly located! Modern, close to public transportation and walking distance to major attractions. Hotel security is excellent, access is controlled 24 hours, facility accessible only for hotel guests. Room size is bigger than standard for same hotel category. The hotel is very clean, both the public areas and the room. I will definitely stay there again next time in the area. I recommend this place.

In this hotel category, given the substantial sum we've paid, it is customary for most establishments, including the Intercity Airport branch, to provide tea and coffee in the rooms—a basic amenity conspicuously absent here. Remarkably, we find ourselves parting with a larger sum than what is demanded by the Airport branch and other similar category if hotels like Park Inn establishments, making this omission even more egregious. To add to the litany of shortcomings, we were furnished with a mere solitary bottle of water on the initial day of our stay, despite the fact that there were two of us. Is it not reasonable to expect such provisions on a daily basis given the tariff we are charged? Are we not entitled to consistent treatment commensurate with our daily expenditures? These arbitrary and confounding policies leave us bewildered and deeply dissatisfied. In our pursuit of a simple query, we were compelled to make no less than five futile attempts to engage with the front desk. Such a lamentable disregard for customer service is utterly inexcusable. Regrettably, the level of service provided by this establishment falls drastically below even the most basic of expectations. Having traversed various parts of Europe since the 14th of September, we can unequivocally declare this hotel to be the nadir of our experiences—a sheer waste of our hard-earned money

Very nice large comfortable room with a great bed, same with the bathroom. Staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel is situated very close to the main railway station, just a short flat walk of about 3 minutes. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel so can't comment on the quality.

Good basic business hotel. Staff is friendly but there is otherwise nothing special about the hotel. Stayed here twice in a week and got upgraded to VIP both times which didn't really come with any benefit strangely enough. Location is perfect if you're traveling by train or wanna look at the Reichstag, otherwise the location is kinda uninteresting with not much in the area.

Don't forget to use HotelTully.ᴄᴏm when booking your stay. They compare thousands of booking websites and usually will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the best in this area. I have been staying here for years. If you stay for a few nights you for sure won't regret it. Cant fault this hotel experience. Great location, practically located on the Hauptbahnhof (main station). Rooms are ok, bed a little bit too soft. If you registrate online for H rewards, you get free public transport ticket for all days of your stay at the hotel.

Clean and cheap. The restaurant is for "groups only" a fact they do NOT advertise, so if you travel alone, for business for example, this is not a place for you. Breakfast is for everyone, quality is not very high, but for the cheap price, perhaps that is too much to ask. There were vegan choices, but I did not try them. My shower turned scolding hot every 1-2 minutes, and the towels were thin like sheets. Everyone assumes you speak German, but are willing and able to switch to English. This Germany after all, so Thats fine, but I thought maybe in a hotel they would be a bit more international. Also only one of 40 channels on TV is English. Great location though, and no noise in my room from trains.

Can't beat this location, it's so close to the main train station, making it a great option if you need to stay for a night. The hotel is new and in good shape. The problem is: The beds are extremely uncomfortable, and I never have back pain, but I had it most nights here. The breakfast was not very good either, I would just pick something up at the train station versus eating here. Service was good.

Easy to find and 5 mins walk from the Hauptbahnhof. The rooms are quite small and very close to train track which was quite loud. Like the breakfast menu and service.

Very convenient but not a ‘treat’ Hotel is renovated, very clean, convenient. However it provides no particular ‘thrill’: in my bedroom one of the two mattresses was really ‘too soft’ (probably old) and I slept on the other one (luckily more comfortable). For a 4-stars, keep in mind that the minibar is empty, but at least you can site some drinks if you buy any. The hotel offers a complementary bottle of sparkling water. There are no slippers. Check the hearing / air conditioning when you get into your room (I am not sure mine was working 100%). Location is great, 5’ from the central station. Breakfast is very nice: lots of things to choose from (milk, oat milk, cereals and oats, cakes, yogurts, etc.), worth it for the relative low price (~ 15€). The restaurant is open apparently only for groups (in the evening) so you need to go out if you want to have a full dinner and not just a ‘prepared’ quick meal (to be cooked in a microwaves) at the bar.

The hotel is close to the Reichstag building and the Brandenburger Tor. And a few steps from the central station of Berlin. With other words it is very well located. Breakfast is okay but does not blow your socks off. The rooms are small, towels thin and the bed makes you to start the day early.

The worst hotel ever. I gave 1 star because that's only option. The quality of the bed is the worst. You can feel the floor when you sit. Even 2* hotels have better beds. The staff is so disrespectful and rude, I've never seen it before, not even in a supermarket. Can't change the room even if the hotel is empty, that's what 3 Receptionists said. And when we asked to talk to a manager, they said there's only my colleague. There's no manager in the evening.

For travellers with kids below 12 yrs old. Be very aware that this hotel requires you to have negative antigen test for kids from 6-11 yrs old which contradicts to Berlin's regulations of mandatory test from 12yrs old-up. I would recommend that this Hotel should better update their information via Booking.com or in their own website. I wasted my time for an hour going to the test location & waiting for the negative test results as WE ARE NOT ALLOWED to CHECK IN without having the antigen test for my kids below 12yrs old even I as a parent I am FULLY VACCINATED w/ an INTERNATIONAL QR CODE. The receptionists insisted that it is mandatory for kids ages 6-up to have tested but IT IS NOT in the Berlin City regulations! It is like "no negative test, no check in regulation."

The hotel is pretty good except for the internet. I have been here for three days and since the check in the internet has been off. Despite constant complaints by myself and other guests, things have remained the same. The worst part is that mobile data is working very slow in the hotel so there is no a decent alternative.

  • 1/5 Peter M. 2 years ago on Google
Their reception trainee decided to add breakfast without request - which was then added to the holding transaction of €50 on my card - then they decided to add more to the holding transaction, to pay for the cost of the room I had already paid for on hotels.com. It’s now sitting at €186.49 two weeks later & they keep claiming they cancelled it but the bank doesn’t say that.

Hotel is okay and rooms are affordable. But, one staff member (female) was a bit rude. Everything else is fine. Also, rooms do not have toiletries. Breakfast was great and satisfying.

Fantastic location, and it’s very useful to be provided with free public transport throughout Berlin. The room was modern, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellent. As a double room, it would have been fantastic but we booked a hotel room for three people, and what we got was essentially a double room with a single bed squeezed perpendicular to the bed. This made the room feel very small, as you could barely even get to the other side of the double bed. Be cautious when booking for 3 people.

  • 4/5 Dan K. 2 years ago on Google
Great location (less than 5min walk from the main station), very convenient and within easy reach of main attractions. The staff was very kind and the facilities are modern. The bed wasn't very comfortable but that depends on what you are used to. Breakfast was good, nice choices available. I will definitely stay here again.

Thank you IntercityHotel Berlin. You were very nice and helpful with printing out documents I needed for my flight to the US. I was not even a guest at the hotel, which makes the service of the front desk staff even more appreciated. They really came through for me during a time of stress. I only wish I had booked a room there as it also looked like a much better establishment than where I was staying. If other services and room quality are as good as this I would definitely recommend.

Nice hotel, good rooms, friendly staff - adding one star for that :) Unfortunately base rating has to be 1 star because of the cockroach in my bathroom.

For the price, it was kind of an underwhelming experience. Plus point is the location: if you need to get the train early, a 3 min walking distance to the train is great. The hotel also was quiet at night. However, a lot of min points: I interacted with the reception 3 times. 2 times they were kind of unfriendly. Not rude, but just that you get the feeling they really hate their work. Then, the mirror was just, well, I don't know how to describe it. Look at the picture. I'm happy it didn't fall down. I planned on telling when I was checking out, but she said "ok give me the room key. Ok, seems good. Bye." And she went on with whatever she thought was more important. Finally, the bed. I'm of normal length and normal weight. Still, the matrass felt more like a hammock. Would not book this again.

I would say the best thing about this hotel is the location, you are a stone's throw from Berlin hbf, from there you can easily get to all parts of the city. I got given a travel card when I checked in which covered the cost of all train travel within the city limits, not sure if that's standard but if it is that is fantastic and would make me stop there again for sure. Staff on reception are very friendly. Everything else is pretty standard.

  • 3/5 Peter H. 1 year ago on Google
If you use the hotel for breakfast and sleep then it is a great hotel. Next to the central station you can easily reach every part of the city. The only thing I missed was a coffee corner. After breakfast you couldn't get a coffee except in the evening when the bar was open (not open every night).

  • 3/5 Jandi S. 1 year ago on Google
Clean rooms and friendly staff. It's probably good to note they do not offer room service, nor is there a restaurant. There is a bar with welcoming staff, and a vending machine for snacks. They offer snack boxes, which were not available when I visited. However, there a couple of restaurants close to the hotel. If you are not in the mood to venture out and just want to eat something light in your room, the Rewe City center is a good option. It's located in the train station on the floor beneath Vapianos. It's also one of the few mini supermarkets open on Sundays, so expect a queue on that day. It's not as busy during the week. Enjoy Berlin!

It’s a nice hotel the room as well. Workers were helpful and hospitable. Some cleaners not the most happiest. I will definitely stay here again.

  • 1/5 Riviera V. 1 year ago on Google
The lady at the reception was extremely rude and inhospitable. They overcharged my credit card and when we went to address this she said something about us in German to her colleague and they both started sniggering instead of explaining the situation - knowing well that we didn’t understand the language. Our stay wasn’t unpleasant but unfortunately this rude behaviour outweighs anything positive I would be able to write about this place.

Very good location, close to Berlin Central Station. Also, friendly staff. Rooms are clean and spacious, and you get a bottle of water or soda per day. However, there is one problem. If you are a non-member, the Wi-Fi is very slow. It is so slow that I can't even watch YouTube videos comfortably.

  • 3/5 Ian B. 2 years ago on Google
The free city ticket, available throughout your stay, is a big deal and it is located very near to the munich main train station. Other than these, the room is small (the door to the bathroom is the smallest I have ever seen, a median size man may have problem of entering), outdated, overly used mattress (sinks when sit), dark while cleanliness is acceptable, it seems. Don't allow free earlier check in despite having so many empty rooms.

  • 5/5 Phoenixpooh 1 year ago on Google
Very good location, 2 minutes walk from Hauptbahnhof and all the shops and facilities that offers. Thanks to U bahn and S bahn all tourist spots are easily reached, along with Brandenburg airport in 30 minutes. Rooms are functional and depending on room booked include water and tea making facilities. Would definitely stay again if in Berlin.

Terrible Stay, Deeply Disappointing I had an incredibly frustrating experience at this hotel, which was far below any standard of hospitality I've ever encountered. I stayed for five nights, and after the first day, my room was never cleaned again. Despite specifically requesting housekeeping at the front desk, I returned each day to find my room in the same untidy state. Moreover, one day there was a six-hour-long outage of both water and electricity. This left me completely unable to shower or use basic amenities, causing significant discomfort and inconvenience. The hotel offered no compensation or remedy for this severe disruption. The front desk staff were unhelpful and displayed an appalling attitude throughout my interactions with them. It seemed as though my concerns and discomfort were of no importance to them. The only redeemable feature of this establishment is its location; beyond that, it has nothing commendable to offer. I strongly advise against staying here if you seek a pleasant and trouble-free accommodation experience.
