Stuck in elevator for 50 minutes . Hotel staff informed it happens often. Hotel staff didn’t seem to concerned about it and didn’t offer any form of compensation for the huge inconvenience caused. Regret that we chose this hotel. We will definitely look elsewhere for business trip and inform colleagues to do the same.

Spent three nights here. The room was very small and the breakfast buffet was modest (no scrambled eggs and bacon - OMG!!!). Also, the area is not really my favorite part of Berlin and the price for the room was pretty high. What makes this place worth a visit though, is the roof top bar. Even though it's not really the roof. Situated on the tenth floor there is at least ten more floors till you reach the top. But the view is magnificent, located just next to Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche. Seating is super laid back and during the day it's not so crowded. You should skip staying at the hotel and just come for the rooftop bar.

Ein absolut tolles modernes Hotel am Bahnhof Zoo. Tolles Design zur Filmthematik. Super Bar und fantastische Dachterrasse im 10. Stock mit wunderschönem Ausblick über Berlin. Guter Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Quite a disappointment. It is not a good idea to build a brand only on lobby design. Rooms are small. It is hard to put a luggage in the room. No wardrobe, only 2 small hangers on the wall. Breakfast was rather poor. No warm dishes (e.g. scrambled eggs, sausages); even no water or juice available. The only plus is the location (close to.the ZOO Bahnhof, Ku'damm) and possible nice view from the window (extra charge). Hotel rooms are up to 18th floor. Yoi can easily het better experience for a similar price (e.g ibis style chain)

If you don't mind tiny bathrooms, so small you can hardly turn in it, then maybe you can stay here. I miss having a face cloth in the room and just having shampoo and no conditioner sucks. Also, slippers. The lounge is super though, however, the Gin tasted more like Vodka and the specials advertised were not available. The glass of water tasted like it came out of the tap. All good when many are going vegan but there are still some people who would appreciate fried eggs and bacon (British breakfast). To fry a couple of eggs seemed like an impossible task. Was also not possible to put all tabs on the room. Suppose it is okay for the normal business man to just sleep over the night. I will choose another hotel next time. Location is perfect though and the lounge sandwiches highly recommended.

Located in a shopping area with many well known shops including Primark, H&M and designer brands boutique nearby. Very close to bus and train station. Not forgetting the Berlin Zoo. Lots of eating outlets and restaurants. Too bad it was too cold for outdoor cafes. I was there in April 2022. Excellent location.

A very nice hotel, loved the terrace lounge on the tenth floor. The view of the city is amazing and the service is also quite nice. The staff were very helpful.

Stayed in hotel 3 nights. Lovely cinema / film themed hotel. Excellent friendly staff, you expect this as standard but staff in this hotel can be considered THE standard. Location is good for using public transport and excellent for your city trip. In evenings the area is not one of the best. This will improve again in future but for now it is very eighties. Bikini center has a nice, cheap, food market which is only 3 mins walk. In evenings you can use the stylish bar on the 10th floor, same floor where breakfast is being served. Breakfast is good. Not excellent just decent and good. Lovely views. And of course the building itself. Just astonishing. This all comes at a slightly higher price compared to other hotels in the area. Rooms are as 'the one' concept. Small, clean, glossy, hardly room to store your luggage if you brought more. One thing to mention air ventilation can not be switched off. It is on all the time. You get used to it but it is a disadvantage and can annoy you. I asked staff if it was normal and it was they confirmed. I booked without a surcharge for a good view and was given a room with poor view (834) just as booked. Overall: You get what you pay for. It is good. Not excellent. If you like a decent hotel with a nice design feeling and excellent staff, plus stay evenings in the hotel to enjoy the bar / breakfast view each day this is yours. Service is good. In the same are you will find hotels that offer larger room facilities and almost same location at a cheaper price (for me I could easily have saved over 100 eur for 3 night stay). The area in evenings remains a concern but will be upgraded in future. If you prefer evenings out outside your hotel avoid this area. Better go for Hackescher Markt or other areas.

Directly located in the center of Berlin this hotel is suited for a short trip into the city. The rooms are very tiny but provide everything that you want from TV to a clean and proper shower. There's no restaurant in the hotel, but as you're located in the city there's plenty of options close by. The hotel has an outstanding terrace with a beautiful view to the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. Depending on time and occupancy this is only available for hotel guests. It's not a five star hotel but what you get for your money is definitely worth the stay.

The rooms are clean and okay, bathrooms are quite small. The staff is friendly. The breakfast was terrible. The coffee was bad, no Soy/Oatmilk option. The precut fruits were very old!

Waren wieder in der Rooftopbar. Diesmal zum Kaffee trinken. War wieder richtig schön. Die Aussicht ist auch am Tage sehenswert. Wir müssen unbedingt noch mal wiederkommen, wenn es warm ist...

Also insgesamt ist das Hotel super, sauber, sehr freundlich und auch toll eingerichtet im gesamten. Allerdings wie schon bekannt und beschrieben, kleine Zimmer ohne einen Kleiderschrank oder gar einen Schuhanzieher. Gerade als oft genutztes Messe Hotel sollte so etwas vorhanden sein. Wir waren zur Messe dort, zum schlafen und frühstücken reicht es völlig aus und für die Lage ist der Preis wohl auch normal, für einen Urlaub würde ich dies allerdings nicht buchen, denn an einem Ort wo 24/7 immer etwas los ist, keine Erholung. Mit offenem Fenster ist mehrfaches Martinshorn normal, ich schlafe generell nur mit offenem Fenster. Der Ausblick aus der 15 Etage ist natürlich mega, aber überrascht auch niemanden. Das Bad war ebenfalls Klasse und sauber. Wie gesagt für eine Messe super, Urlaub definitiv nicht.

The place staff was nice and spoke English very well. My problem was the room was so much smaller than what it looked, and their TV wasn't working for us. I stayed for New Year Eve so the prices were high. I might go again but not sure.

Preisleistung Top, Die Zimmer waren schön und sauber. Der Service war Freundlich. Das Hotel ist allgemein modern hergerichtet. Das Frühstück war eine große Auswahl und alles frisch. Die Aussicht war schön und die Lage ist optimal. Das passende Parkhaus war 250m weit weg und wir haben von Freitag bis Sonntag 30 Euro bezahlt.

Wenn ich in Berlin bin, liebe ich das Ambiente dieses Hotels. Es liegt für mich perfekt zentral und ich komme mit der S-Bahn schnell überall hin. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und gemütlich, es brennt ein Kaminfeuer im TV. Der Ausblick ist grandios. Geräusche der Stadt oder im Hotel sind kaum wahrnehmbar.

Small but very clean and comfortable rooms. No kettle or coffee machine. 600 rooms, so breakfast good quality but a bit chaotic.

Echt toll, nur leider gibt es keine Flasche Wasser auf den Zimmer. Sonst ist alles top und ordentlich! Super für eine Tour durch die Stadt

The hotel was very nice, the room was clean, and the staff was friendly. Two of the four elevators were out of service so it took a little longer to go up and down.

Rooms are small but not a surprise for a Motel One. As a hotel that has a big proportion of business demand, they need to have iron in all rooms. If it's a matter of space, put the iron in the rooms and ironing board can be provided upon request.

Nice place

Arguably the cheapest place to get a cocktail and amazing views of West Berlin from Ku’damm. The vibe is very modern with high rise ceilings and great service of drinks. The bar is stocked up with the typical cocktails that you expect to find in such a location.

Tolle Lage in der Stadt. Zimmer (im 12.Stock) mit großartiger Aussicht. Nette Bar. Alles bestens, komme gerne wieder

The hotel is located near Zoologisch train station which is it's biggest plus besides awesome views, clean rooms and services at affordable price. You can jump on S and U2,U9 or U1 and access majority of the key sights of Berlin when visiting. Hotel also has an awesome rooftop bar with some sweet drink collections to choose from! Great bang for your buck this place

Great quality. Luxurious! Stunning designed building (outside & inside with the cinema theme!) with incredible view on all Berlin. 118m skyscraper. Cons: the TV automatically turns on an aquarium live wallpaper when you come in. The bathroom door automatically closes, can't stay open by itself.

Hotel super wow, I I always read motel, and I never understand that was such a hotel super desing! The bar and the terrace are amazing awesome! Thelobby really cool ... service super good price! Really close to the center of Berlin west to zoological garten and kudam I use for biz meeting love it!

Surprisingly good. Rooms are decently isolated. Room was modern and clean. Not very spacious but if you only use the room just to sleep in it's more than sufficient. Rooftop bar deserves 5 stars. 15th floor has a nice view.

Hotel, service and cleaning were very correct. Continental breakfast and space to eat comfortably. Very well located near Ku'Damm. Also there's a bar at the 10th floor, nice place for a drink. The negative topic is the room, too small

I'm sad to have to write this review, however I did give management a chance to reply to the problems I had staying here last month and I never heard back. That of itself tells you that they really don't care about their guests. I booked a room and paid extra for a larger one. My nightmare at this hotel started with check in. I should have known from the get-go, to have exited stage left while I had the chance. The girl at the reception was unfriendly, rude & officious, I guess that is the norm if you are staying in a prison! My room was roomy and clean, however anything good about it stops there. It was on the 4th floor, had no real light coming in as, I was surrounded by tall buildings. The room had to be 82 degrees, and as there is no A/C in any room at this prison, I had to open my window. What a mistake that was! The only view I had was of 3 large heater/ AC units, obviously only for public areas, that were really loud. If I closed the windows, the room was hot if I opened them I was deafened. Great choice. It doesn't end there. One night I was so warm I decided I'd take the noise so I could at least be cooler. What a mistake that was. I woke up at around 3 am with buzzing sounds, my room was swarming with mosquitos that must have been breeding in the puddles that were on the flat roof that was part of my fabulous view. I was bitten from head to toe. In fact 2 weeks later I still have the war wounds to prove it. Motel One prides itself for being affordable, I paid 600 for 3 nights, I could have stayed at any decent hotel with AC & friendly staff for that money. I will NEVER step foot in a Motel One again in my life. What a complete waist of money!

Good location, very clean, very helpful staff, nice view. The breakfast is very simple and reduced but expensive. Not recommended, go somewhere else for breakfast.

Fabulous location, we reserved a big room with view so we had a big bathroom and room for all our luggage. Wish they had coffee maker in the room,but you can go to the 10th floor and use machine without being charged for breakfast! Also wish they had one duvet rather than two singles on a king bed.

Good hotel close to the zoo area, very big strucutre. Clean and spacious enough, overall efficient. Breakfast so and so, decent but a little bit short of variants. Nothing too bad. I suggest the stay. Only thing is the naming: Motel is very confusing, makes think at a motorway stay...

A single room is small, but it has an internal bathroom. I had a dirty pillow case which raises a question whether or not sheets are changed after every guest. The location is great. Not sure about the room service. Within a week they didn't visit my room.

Fantastic Hotel! Lovely pictures and a nice bar and a nice roof garden at 10th floor. Plan in a bit more time for check-in, as a lot of people are arriving at certain times.

One of the best hotel close to Berlin downtown. Rooms are modern and clean. Nice view from the room. Room size is small but good enough for short stay. Enough USB Ports available in room for charging. Rooftop bar and lounge is amazing with some great views of the city. The only thing I miss in the room is work desk and coffee maker. Rest all is perfect about the hotel. Staff is friendly and efficient. Would love to stay here again.

Great bar with amazing view.. they have huge collection of drinks, a bit pricey but worth it for the view… there is also a terrase can be for smokers in winter but in summer it totally amazing…

Lovely hotel with amazing beds but pretty small rooms. Shower is very nice but gets some parts of the bathroom pretty wet. Breakfast is okay. It’s enough but not that many options. Amazing location of the hotel.

The waiter on the rooftop bar (24.8.22) decided to overcharge us compared to the menu, then started shouting at us for asking why and then complaining that two of the group didn't even speak German. Terrible service at an otherwise nice hotel.

Love this M1. Wonderful vibe, location is great, the views…., and the lounge is an excellent choice for coffee or a scene. It generally all feels well organized. The food offering in the lounge is quite weak so don't plan on a late night dinner/snack there.
