The
hotel
is
strategically
located
at
the
U2
subway
a
short
walk
away.
The
U2
takes
you
with
just
a
few
stops
to
the
Ku’damm,
the
Alex,
the
Schönhauser
area
and
further
north
to
the
Prenzlauer
Berg,
which
is
a
big
plus
now
that
the
hotel
lies
somewhat
outside
the
more
interesting
areas.
The
room
(standard
double)
was
clean
and
small
and
reasonably
quiet.
The
mattresses
were
hard.
There
is
a
bottle
of
water
in
the
room
that
costs
2.5
€,
which
I
only
noticed
after
drinking
most
of
the
water.
Our
room
safe
was
not
working,
and
when
we
asked
the
front
desk
about
help
with
that
(on
arrival
a
Thursday
evening),
and
telling
them
that,
I
didn’t
want
to
carry
too
much
cash
and
our
passports
around
with
me,
and
informing
them
that
it
might
be
a
battery
issue,
we
were
met
with
the
answer,
something
like
“there
is
not
really
anything
we
can
do
about
that”.
For
a
crucial
equipment
as
a
safe,
a
3
star
hotel
should
in
my
opinion
have
some
sort
of
procedure
for
a
situation
like
this.
The
breakfast
was
acceptable
for
a
hotel
in
this
price
range.
So
all
in
all
I
choose
3
out
of
5
stars,
which
is
neither
particular
good
nor
bad,
but
right
in
the
middle.
If
you
visit
Berlin
and
you
spend
most
of
your
time
exploring
the
city,
then
I
can
recommend
this
hotel.
If
staying
at
a
hotel
is
part
of
your
traveling
experience,
and
the
look
and
feel
of
the
hotel,
the
surrounding
area,
the
hotel
room,
lobby,
breakfast
and
so
on
matters
to
you,
then
there
are
other
hotels
in
a
slightly
higher
price
range
and
4
stars
I
rather
would
recommend.
As
with
many
things
in
life,
you
get
what
you
pay
for,
and
as
such,
this
hotel
does
a
reasonably
good
job
for
that.
