All electronics and money were stolen from a friend's room. The locks work with magnetic cards and yet they were able to enter and take everything. The strange thing is that they didn't have a single camera in the building, the frontdesk staff didn't want to cooperate, did nothing to solve or help and on top of that they laughed at the situation. Police confirmed that the lock was not forced. They left a man with nothing on the other side of the ocean (but at least he has breakfast included)

Specifically requested for a quiet room but ended up in horror! Had a room on the ground floor which was next to the car park. Noises kept coming from next door neighbor (including snoring), and people talking outside the windows throughout the night! Didn't get a good sleep! Terrible experience! Breakfast was great though.

Overall it is a good hotel but a bit far from the city center. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and nice. Although the location is a bit far from the city center, it is a good location. Good public transportation connection. This is a nice hotel but not a "four star" hotel. I have been to many 3 star hotels which are way better than this. There is not any four star feeling in this hotel. The bed and pillows are soft and cozy. However in the 3 person suite, the extra bed is okay not that comfortable. It is a big hotel and there are only two elevators so it is quite busy. Also the elevator is quite noisy. Our room was next to an elevator so it is very noisy at night. In the 3 person suite, there is no door in the bathroom. I would understand if there was no door in a 1 or 2 person room but in 3 person room it is a bit awkward. The rooms are not very well maintained. The AC is very noisy. I couldn't sleep with the sound that AC made so we switched it off. Also the light in a bathroom mirror was not working. The paint of some walls were worn off. They offer very less things in the room. Less toiletries. They have a nice restaurant downstairs which helps but on the flip side there is absolutely nothing in the room. There is not even a water boiler in case you want warm water. They have some customer discounts with vague rules and staffs seems to not know about those rules. So they are not able to help you with this.

I stayed here for a week during a brief trip to Berlin. The hotel was wonderful. The breakfast, while expensive, was excellent and had a great deal of options for all diets and preferences. The staff were also incredibly kind and helpful.

I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Absence of basic items such as mug, old and broken furnitures, dark rooms without adequate lighting, no proper ventilation or conditioning. They don’t even put out bottle of water which is a basic necessity in the room and fridge is broken. A hotel in middle of no where with not much to do around. Also while chilling in the room someone walks in with a different key card, never seen this anywhere. With the same money you can get a much better service and experience elsewhere. It was an absolute waist of money.

It was very hot & no air conditioning in a very sunny room..it was very uncomfortably warm even with windows open & fan on. Closing blackout curtains helped but the curtains were in bad condition & did not hang or slide properly!!

Overall, it is a fine hotel. The breakfast is good, and so is coffee. The rooms are clean, and beds comfortable. The wifi is pretty miserable - when it works, it works, but when it doesn't... The elevator is super outdated and you have to wait long to get a ride, while the stairs are a nuisance (not a simple stairwell). The corridors could serve as a setting for q Stephen King novel, but all in all the hotel is acceptable. I'm giving it two stars instead of three because of repeated incidents with security. One of my friends had someone break into her room. Another had someone break in AND tamper with the safe. The cleaning staff left a room key to a different room in my place.

Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is definitely worth it, so include that if you can. Staff was very kind and helpful. The only negative is that the iron and ironing board are in a community room: other than that, everything was great.

Very nice and luxury hotel with a nice yard and good design. The location is very close to U bahn and S bahn, also you can find super markets near the hotel. The hotel is also located in center of berlin you can go to famous places of Berlin easily from the hotel.

my Two stars is just for the space and clean of the hotel, big BUT too noisy you hear everything in the next room and the shower of their bathroom 🙄the staff good but one of them was very rude. this hotel must be clear when people will going to book because this hotel doesn’t have room for three person ( thats what he said ) and when we arrived they said in 30 minutes we’ll get you one bed ( that looks like a bed for littler kid ) !! really ?? Definitely I’ve stayed in better hotel with 3 or 4 stars and 😉 my advice is to keep looking

Worst 4 star hotel we have ever stayed at!!! We checked in very late the day we arrived and as we stayed for a whole week the manager gave a discounted rate for the car park for us to use. 2 days into our stay, we were very uncomfortable as the room booking has been advertised as double bedroom but in fact it’s two mattresses put together, which cause a lot of backache, so we complained and a lovely staff at reception upgraded us to a actual double bed, which we felt was very friendly. Thereafter, we had several issues with housekeeping, as they don’t know a single bit of German nor English. We booked this room to work in and house keeping kept knocking on the door as they did not understand to come back later. Last two days before our checkout, had car park ticket issues, very rude german speaking person at the front asking me to come and pay at reception. Very rudely responding to us, almost felt like we were treated differently to other guests. We have heard them speak German to other guests politely, but as we were foreigners responded very arrogant and rude. I understand very well German but not fluent anymore in speaking so felt more comfortable in English, which allowed me to recognise the way they treat guests in this hotel. Finally, we pre-agreed for a late check out for 1pm and manager was very lovely at the time of check in and suddenly the day on our check out was very rude and telling us we cannot do a late check out anymore as we may get busy and we complained about last nights parking issues and manager responds to us saying “Do not check out later than noon, not 12.10pm or 12.15pm, otherwise we can not give you any money back on your car park ticket.” Why make a comment like that to a guest? Totally appalling and disrespectful customer service. There is no excuse saying language is a barrier, as the manager welcomed us nicer on the day of arrival at this hotel. Very disappointed from a 4 star hotel, we have experienced a much better service at other hotels - this service here is not even a 3 star. We would recommend other options to stay in Berlin!

We had a very pleasurable stay at Wyndham hotel. From the beginning until the end we experienced top customer service from every single stuff member we encountered. All our requests have been taken into account and satisfied delivering the highest standard. Thus 5 stars are truly deserved!

If i need to discripe this hotel in just one word. Hopeless! After a trip of almost 7 hours the co-worker at the reception told me there was no room avaible. We make a reservation 2 months before we arrived. The Hotel was overbooked. The whole lobby was full of angry People who also Booked a room but no-one get one. There were also People with little children. No help @ all. The General Manager was not there and told his co-worker @ the Phone goodluck with it. HĂŠ did not come to solve any of the problems. The girl (co-worker) of the reception almost start crying because it was the second time in Just the short time of 5 months she was working there. We have to look self for a solution. We did not get any drinks or some food as compesation. Nothing! It sucks and i Will never book a room at this hotel again. Totally Worthless Zero points for this hotel and the manager.

Situated close to Gesundbrunnen, to the north of Berlin Hbf, there are many restaurants, bars and cafĂŠ's closeby. Connections to public transport are also plenty. The staff is really nice as is the breakfast. Decoration of the rooms seems a little bit outdated, but that is also charming in its own way. Nothing to complain about to be honest.

The pictures from the website are definitely very old and outdated. The current condition is around 10 years older and not best-kept as the pictures. The Air conditioning does not work in all rooms and you are not notified beforehand whether you will get a room with working air conditioner or not. As of today, 33°C without air conditioning or any airflow in the room. And this is listed as 4star hotel. Very bad. The receptionist is not really the forefront of friendly. Overall a bad experience.

The check in process was unprofessional. I got a tiny room below the roof in summer, without aircondition. The shower cabin had an old fashioned curtain, the shower tub 5 big rust stains. The hotel is far away from the Berlin "Middle" as they locate them selve. Neither information on the amenities nor the restaurant menu or bar opening times. Not worth the money!

The first star is for the breakfast and personal, the second for the bed, for we did had a good sleep on it. I have been traveling the world for many many years now… From Manila to Marrakesh never have I experienced a 4 star hotel being in this condition… There was NO mini bar, drinking water, water cooker, slippers, bathrobes or not even a small iron, just a big NOTHING. We didn’t even care about not having an Aircon, but not having at least drinking water!¿? Even a 2 star hotel have it as a complementary. The breakfast was basic, but it was filled regularly, the small plates made sure no one filled their plates unnecessary. It was very loud on the corridor during the morning when they started to clean the rooms. I added two pictures, two pictures that will show you that this hotel isn’t a 4 Star hotel… btw the room plants all over the hotel was just saddening to see…

Accommodation was comfortable and quiet. Staff were efficient with a smile and knowledgeable. Just to note that while the website states that there is a restaurant, it closed in October. Only breakfast (hot/cold) is available at €18.

I had just problems with the lady in the Reception. Rest of all, everything is good, it is my second day here and i can’t find from where this dead smell comes. If you drink water in the room, be careful. They don’t have room service and they Close the bar early. Please help me to Find why my room smells like Naftalina. Thanks and Take care with the bulldog from the reception

Good hotel quite central in Berlin. Just a couple of stops from the city centre, and the U bahn passes some places to visit. Check-in is strictly at 3PM, not a minute earlier. When asked the lady at reception to already give our details for quicker checking in after 3, she pointed at the 3PM sign with not a nice face. 3PM, 4 people in line to check in... Breakfast, rooms and the rest of the staff are very friendly. The hotel has his own covered and secured parking spot, so it is good for people who travel to Berlin by car. The lady from the bar is very friendly. She got us a beer when the vending machine broke down, and the day after, she helped us when my dad got a bit sick. Many thanks!!!

Awful experience. I had booked three nights online. When I arrived to check in, there were a queue of frustrated guests at the check in desk. Basically the hotel had booked in more guests than they had available rooms. They just said “we’re full, you can’t stay here.” Worse, the staff were not even apologetic. They treated us guests as if we were a massive inconvenience to them. Avoid this place.

Arrived at the hotel in the evening of 05 Jun 2022 for a one night stay. Basically the room interior is rather old, looks alot like from the 1970s decor. But as we were too tired after travelling the whole day from Singapore.. we dropped into sleep like a log 🤣

Overall was good, staff was good(special thx to Tobias), 50' to BER airport (10' walk to Gesundbrunen DB + 30' with FEX), close to metro station 10' to Alexanderplatz, breakfast OK and the rooms were clean. In the night though it was quite cold in the room as the heating was turned off and the radiators were cold, outside temperature was below 0, the provided duvet was good so it was okay to sleep. I totally recommend it for both business and leisure travelers.

Let me start by saying that this hotel does not deserve a Wyndham franchise. The rooms had old carpets with stains of god knows what, bathrooms smelling of mould, and paint peeling off the facade of the building and the rooms. Their classic rooms are still a bit better than the modern rooms. The staff is overworked and do their best to help you. The security guy (or so he seems) who roams around at the evenings and the night is a total joke and felt no problems in taking out a pack of smokes and smoking right where guests are eating or drinking in the courtyard. I thought this was a 4 star hotel but it does not even deserve 1. The receptionists were very very helpful and i felt really disappointed that they had to get overworked to the point of exhaustion. But they always had a smile on their face. And if this is not enough, you are literally welcomed into the hotel with a graphiti on the hotel gates. The owner of the hotel i guess is busy counting bills while the guests are sitting in the heat. And if this is not enough, the airconditioning was not working all over the hotel, and they did not have enough fans. However, the folks at the reception really took care of that after the first night. At the end of the day, the onus is on the owner, the hotel staff(those who really diligently work) can only do so much to hold the pieces together. I daresay that Wyndham should send a secret guest to check the hotel's compliance to use the Wyndham name. Location is not very nice, I would recommend Checkpoint Charlie or the areas around it instead.

Worst hotel ever seen in my whole life. We paid full Amount & the A/C is not working. When I arrived, I was not told. After having exchange of hard words got a Fan. Worst building. Dont recommend

Generally good although the washroom shower curtain can use some deodorising as there is some remnant smell lingering. Bed is clean. Do note that there is no air-conditioning (I.e. cooling) but heating via radiators built-in. Location is quite a distance away from the central region of Berlin. May have some accessibility issues for those not driving and depending on public transport.

The worst hotel in berlin to ever stay at. A strangers entered the room when we out twice and stole stuff and they have the audicity to enter with someone in the room with another card that we don’t have and the reciption didn’t help at all and they say that its out of their hand and the whole hotel didn’t have a singel camera. They have a camera but it’s not recording anything they just for the show. It’s unsafe hotel and unclean hotel with rudest people. The house keeping didn’t speak english and doesn’t come every single day. Also, she doesn’t change anything, she is just enter to change the towel and toilet paper. PLEASE PLEASE DONOT BOOK IN THIS NASTY HOTEL.

For a 4 Star hotel some areas could be cleaner. Breakfasts was good so are the other meals. Nice and quiet. Transport tram and bus 100 meters away. Underground also close. When full trying to get a lift down to ground floor during morning meal and check out can be an issue with one small main lift with two lift entrances. Taking the stairway can be tricky and getting lost in the surrounding buildings will happen on your first attempt. A second goods lift is available, but ground floor gets you into the driveway between other buildings. You then need to find your way back to reception.

  • 2/5 Michael U. 1 year ago on Google
Outdated but well-priced it is important to read the fine print at Wyndham Garden Berlin Mitte, the air conditioning only offered in upgraded rooms and check-in strictly adhered to with bag check open to anyone who happens to pass by. Coupled to broken elevators and a front-desk frequently unattended money is better spent elsewhere.

We stayed 2 nights. The price was good for what we paid. The rooms were clean and service was good. Uber pickup location was convenient. The location was a little far from places. Otherwise, it was perfect.

It’s a great place to stay. Receptionist nice, free water and separate smoking area. The breakfast was good too, nice coffee and fresh fruit. The only concern is elevator were old and slow, also the capacity. Hope you can try to renew the elevator.

We stayed there for three days. The rooms were clean but not nice in general. The staff are not friendly at all We were up in the lobby just speaking then the receptionist asked us to leave…!! It was very awkward and not nice.!! The location adds on top, it is very far from everything..! The food included with breakfast was nice tho.!

Do NOT book and stay in this hotel , false advertising!!! We have stayed in this hotel from 3rd September to 6 th September ( 3 people im Room 171) On arrival to the room, it appears to be NOT a 3 or 4 star hotel condition as they put on Agoda website. Carpet is dirty with marks , ALL the walls have many marks and dirt inside the room. Couch was a dump site condition , many dirt marks and appears not safe enough to sit on. No air-conditioning at all as advertised. No water or tea facilities or mini bar as advertised. *** I have photos to prove all these accusations are accurate. When we complained to the onduty receptionists, " manger is not here , don't have any rooms , email Manager" Which we did and still waiting for reply. Next day receptionist had the same answer. They did NOT care about how much money we paid for 3 nights stay ( AUD 1007 for 3 people) Did not want to hear our complaints or do anything about it. Never will stay in Wyndham garden or book through Agoda. Agoda answered to our email to say , no refund possible , just write a review. This is misleading advertisement and neglect on the duty of care for your customers, both the hotel chain and Agoda website.

Great hotel! Especially for the price. The beds are very comfy, great shower, staff are so friendly and went above and beyond when me and my partner stayed (printed out loads of take away options for us when we got there late one evening) Ubers are so easy to get into town or historical places + Christmas markets and the tram is easy to use All round amazing hotel and great trip

  • 1/5 Patrizia B. 2 months ago on Google • 2 reviews New
