I
booked
seven
nights
in
a
large
shared
room
for
48
people.
The
property's
lack
of
transparency
led
me
to
unknowingly
book
one
bed
among
47
others
in
a
dormitory,
which
I
would
have
avoided
if
the
information
was
clear.
The
picture
of
this
room
shows
12
bunk
beds.
They
don’t
have
female-only
dorms,
which,
by
itself,
shows
a
lack
of
empathy.
After
entering
the
room,
I
noticed
that
I
was
the
only
woman
there,
but
the
room
was
still
quite
empty,
which
gave
me
a
little
bit
of
comfort.
At
9
pm,
I
was
in
my
bed
when
a
homeless
person
arrived
and
shared
the
same
bunk
as
me.
As
a
solo
female
traveler,
I
felt
uncomfortable
and
unsafe
given
the
situation
I
was.
I
requested
to
change
rooms,
willing
to
pay
the
difference,
but
the
receptionist
initially
refused.
After
explaining
my
discomfort,
the
receptionist
called
the
owner/
manager
and
he
was
extremely
rude,
claiming
nothing
could
be
done
due
to
the
hostel's
policies
and
the
New
Year's
week.
Despite
an
available
4-bed
room
online,
he
insisted
I
conform
to
the
hostel
setting,
stating
that
I
was
in
a
hostel
and
that's
how
things
work.
The
lack
of
empathy
and
customer
service
disappoints
me.
I
don't
recommend
this
hostel
for
women
and
solo
travelers,
as
the
staff
seems
indifferent
to
guests'
concerns
and
safety.
