Superb, quick and authentic Indian food. Especially the lunch table dishes are incredible considering their modest pricing (we paid less than 10€ for a great meal with meat) and an Espresso after lunch was served on the house. And they are quick too, even during crowded noon hours we we're served in no time. We'd always come here again

Food is delicious, atmosphere great, staff the kindest of all the places I’ve been to. Also it is really clean and you aren’t going to wait more than 15 minutes for your meal. Really a must go while in Berlin - dishes are original and there is plenty of options for you to choose from. Maybe a thing to consider - adding original Indian beers to the menu, to spice it up even more.

Great Indian restaurant. The Chicken Masala was very good, authentic and flavourful, with a nice amount of spice. Portion sizes were also decent and service was super quick.

The place has an amazing decoration which makes the environment so nice. The food is really good 👍 and during the week they have business menus that have good prices 👌. For spicy lovers.

Really good Indian food! I gave 4 stars, because AMRIT is basically kind of a “mass processing” restaurant. It has the same (good) taste in whatever AMRIT you are. The last time we were there the main course came about 5 min after we ordered it. Don’t get me wrong: If you want to have food Indian food, you are absolutely right here. Nevertheless I always feel like a number there, not really a guest.

Update: had some Chicken korma, the chicken pieces were hard and the korma wasn’t that great taste too. Better to have vegetarian stuff like Palak paneer and paneer butter masala here. Had some naan and mutton curry recently. Both taste good. The ambience is neat and clean, the waiting staff is polite and courteous. The food wasn’t so great though that I would want to visit again. I might visit again just for the nice ambience and the good connectivity

I had heard a lot of about this Indian restaurant chain in Berlin. However, missed a visit until now. On a sunny Sunday evening while strolling near Potsdamer Platz, decided to have a quick dinner. The staff greeted us with great warmth and seated us. It is a big big place and can accommodate about 3-4 hundred people at a time. So reservation was not an issue. They are very friendly and polite. We ordered our food which, was served with speed and was tasty and very much like Indian flavour. They very large drinks menu too and offer happy hours cocktails too.

Amrit is a massive restaurant in Potsdamer Platz. It has many seats both outdoor and indoor, I spoke to the waiter and he mentioned that they seat nearly 300 people during busy days. I would recommend that you book a table in advance if possible. They have a fantastic Indian menu and the portion sizes are fairly large. The service was great and the waiters genuinely welcomed us warmly. The waiters checked in on us to understand how spicy we like our food and provided it accordingly. The food was tasty and fresh and we loved the place. Would recommend that you give Amrit a shot if you are in Berlin and would like to try some good Indian food.

Nice restaurant near Potsdamer Platz. The menu is rich and offers a huge variety of dishes. The spicyness is adjusted for Europeans and got less spicy over the years. However you can ask the staff to spice it traditional and they will do it for you. Then you can have traditional taste. The food has been cooked well. The staff was nice. Our waiter took the order mainly looking at his ordering device. Apart from that we got served timely and friendly. Guests can eat inside and outside. The place is quite crowded which leads to a huge noise level. It is not a place for a calm atmosphere. Downstairs are the toilets which are clean.

I have been here repeatedly. Always for business and always for lunch. The location is great. Right on Potsdamer Platz. The reception is great. You will be served directly by at least one person. The dishes are prepared quickly. The quality is good. The ambience is very nice. Despite the restaurant being always full, the service, speed and service are very good. I can absolutely recommend it.

Delicious. Don't be afraid to order very spicy, because it's really not that bad compared to Thai or other Asian definitions for "very spicy". So if you like spice then definitely go for it! I accidentally sniffed a little sauce and then it was definitely spicy, no cap. For the rest very nice and served at a good pace and a very nice decoration of the rooms!

This place feels like an overrated restaurant. The starter we ordered came with just two pieces of chicken. It was less compared to the price. We ordered butter chicken and one other chicken curry. Both did not taste anything like the authentic Indian curry. Also it came with other veggies in it. Only good thing was the mango lassi. Also the place was very loud. The staff was welcoming and the service was good.

i came last week and i ordered no.64 Palak Gosht and a mango lassi. They bring me the mango lassi really fast and it was delicious 🥭 I wait for my food more than 30 mins and i almost finished my drink, finally i asked to a really nice old waiter if there were any problem with my dish and he brang me my food in the next 5 mins after ask. 👍🏻💗 To be honest the food was good, the lamb was really soft but the place is really busy all the time and is not a peaceful restaurant, you can see the waiters running all the time and is really noisy bc all the tables they have. Also i saw a waitress picking a straw from the floor and give it to a costumer… 🥤👎🏻❌ not really hygienic :s

This is the second Indian restaurant I’ve visited in Berlin and I can say the food was exceptional! I had lunch with a few colleagues and we were there during the Thursday Business Lunch hour, which was great. The response time was pretty quick ~14mins for a full table of 7. The attendants are really professional and customer oriented, and I guess because of the business lunch hour, the menu was also quite discounted. I was very pleased with my experience here! Definitely a 5-star!⚡️

One of the best restaurants I have visited so far in Berlin. Plenty of place indoors and outdoors. Friendly, polite staff and a lot of them around. Extra delicious Indian food served in a couple of minutes. I tried spicy chicken Madrasi and dark beer. Awsome combination. Totally recommended!

Im my view, it's one of the best Indian restaurant in Germany. On request they make curries more spicy according to Indian taste. Restaurant staff is helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend place to have Indian food in Berlin.

Because it is right opposite saravana bhavan, it has a lot to live up to. Overall the food and service was okay. The Battura was nice. The chicken butter masala was average. The rice that came with the butter masala was dry and lacked any flavour .The mango lassi was really good. The location is very convenient, the price was a tiny bit high for what the place offers, guess that's the premium you pay for a prime location. If you are a vegetarian, I would definitely recommend the saravana bhavan across the road. But if you are a non vegetarian, this place is not a bad choice.

I loved how the place was crowded at noon. Looking cozy and weather was amazing that we set outside. We ordered beef baryani I would give 1 star for that, tasted and looked like Saudi kabsa !!! We liked the tikka, and I would not come back for the food. Average!! Waiter was not nice, looks he swear in his language when we paid the bill, and that was road 😳

This was extremely busy at Saturday night at 6pm. They were great and found us a table for two. The service was very quick. The starters came in five minutes and my crispy chicken wasn't. My main course chicken dai was absolutely fantastic, lots of meat, and my wife enjoyed her salmon curry. The chocolate desert also went down well. This place is very busy but they have a lot of staff. Will come back one day.

Visited restaurant Amrit Potsdam branch for dinner with friends yesterday, they landed from two other countries craving for good Indian food, ordered samosa , dal, eggplant curry, chicken kadai , naan , roti and few drinks, rice and salad came complimentary (thank you). Apart from the dish chicken kadai , the taste of all other food items were very good and drinks were nice too. But Chicken kadai was really very disappointing looked like boiled chicken , tomato curry paste and boiled onions were mixed together and served. That was main dish connecting other food items and people on table , on nice conversation. That quality was not expected from Amrit at that cost. Else everything was great. Service was perfect, well entertained and attended, ambiance was very good , well decorated and well managed facility. Overall good but sorry Amit because of that dish I had to give you 3. May be better next time.

This restaurant is the heart of Berlin, just attached to Berlin Mall. The ambiance and decorations are excellent. The staff are kind and professional, and food is served so fast hot on your table. The operations of this restaurant are very impressive. The restaurant is open 7 days a week and always busy. Excellent place for a date, family, or corporate dinner. Kudos to the team for an amazing service to their clients. The food has a very nice balanced menu. I would describe it predominantly Punjabi style food with a few South Indian inspired dishes but not completely authentic South Indian. I would prefer to eat norht indian food here. The menu is laid out in a very clear and organized way. The menu has suggestions. The menu has a very excellent balance of veg and nonveg dishes. The food is made with a balanced taste profile just good enough for Indians to like it but not love it and for Westerners to love it. The food portions are good. The price is competitive for the quality of food and service you are getting. This place is value for money and its one of those places you can come to blindly and never be disappointed. The drinks menu for non alcoholic are very good for hot and cold. Make sure you try the mint ginger tea. The orange juice is freshly squeezed. My overall rating is 4.5/5 for this place. This rating is at an international scale compared to restaurants in the USA, Dubai etc. Else German local rating is 5/5.

I will give more than 5 star if there na.. because of taste of food. And service was top notice... I went there at late night near closing time. But they allow me in. That's good part. And very reasonable price. Worthy food. And staff.

Food not as good as the ambience!! Quality : 4/5 Quantity :3/5 Value for money : 2/5 Service :3/5 Ambience : 5/5 Detailed review We (around 5 of us) went here around 3pm after the lunch rush and ordered a bunch of food and was told that they do Indian level spicy so we were excited but our excitement was soon over when we actually tasted the food, not even half of Indian level spicy and im not talking just the hot chilli spicy but the spices were itself maybe forgotten on the counter. Below are the items we ordered 1)Paneer tikka : not good, the paneer was very rubbery 2)paneer makhani : again rubbery paneer 3) chole Amritsar : this was the only dish that we liked but it was not the Amritsari chole. 4) gobi pakora : not good! 5) dal makhani : good 👍 6) gulab jamun with ice cream: gulab Jamoon was very small and the ice cream had some sort of sauce over it which made it not se good 👎definitely not recommended We were given only one salad for all these dishes! We had to request for more Overall I wouldn’t go again!

I had been eager to experience AMRIT Rest at Potsdamer Platz, and finally, I had the opportunity. Our order included butter chicken, meat Korma, and lamb Malabari, accompanied by naan bread and assorted side dishes. Without a doubt, it turned out to be the finest Indian cuisine I've ever savored. The flavors were exceptional, and their generosity in continuously replenishing the rice added to the overall delightful dining experience.

We had dinner there with friends on a Saturday evening. The service is very good, you are greeted in a friendly manner and shown to your table. The service is attentive and quick. The food was very good, from the starter to the very tasty main course and dessert. Yes, it's a big restaurant and it's noisy but that didn't bother us at all. We'd love to come back.

Indian restaurant at it’s best. Absolutely great experience.Food was Super! Very balanced portions. Despite the crowd food came to table so fast. The ambiance is a vibe.Good lighting and Few beautiful religious sculptures. The toilet is so spacious so clean, must mention👍🏽 We order two biriyani. One with mutton another is chicken.Complimentary Salat was given.Mutton was my favourite.Recommended. Staffs are hospitable. But I would suggest not to become very casual in front of the guests. Some gestures and loud talking to colleagues was disturbing sometimes. Finally. It was good experience!

We were here on December 31st, 2023. I would like to thank the entire team for the delicious food, the ambience and the friendliness. Recommended for families with and without children. Everything was perfect including the surprise from the boss for me as a cook. An extraordinarily big thank you to the entire kitchen team. We would like to come again.

Quick service and hassle free experience. The food was served extremely quick, within 10 minutes or ordering which was shocking considering how busy this place was. I liked how busy the restaurant was because it indicates good food and good service, if the restaurant is at a good capacity. Staff very quick and friendly, very welcoming at the door from the moment we stepped in! Overall priced very well and very happy with our experience.

The food came faster than the drinks! And the Drinks took a normal time. It is the perfect place for a good, affordable and quick diner. The restaurant is big but cozy. The food is tasty and the service is good. The speed at which people came in and went did not contribute to the experience, but if you don’t care about the dining experience on itself this is a very good place to go.

Had veg supper with malabar chicken curry, rice, tandoori roti, pista shake and mango lassi. Food is average taste. Chicken and spices smelt and tasted stale. Soup was drab. Staff is decent. At times order could be delayed owing to more crowd as the place is quite humungous!

I just want to say Woohoo. Fast service the restaurant was so full within 10 minutes the food was on the table . Staff ask about the quality of food . Food quality is also 5 stars . Friendly atmosphere with so many customers we can't hear music just kidding, Toilets were super clean and one lady was there for cleaning. ( The girl staff was a little slow as compared to boys and boys were not walking they were running to reach the customer's table ) ( Friday 10 November) we will visit again

Their korma sauce was totally different than in other countries. It was still good, but more like "typical curry", not korma. The service and the place were nice.

We ordered Garlic Naan, Lamb Gosh and rice came with Mutton Gosh. Garlic Naan was really soft and Yummy. I dont know if I was really hungry that's why I liked the food or the food was actually Yumm. But yes, The food was good. Service - It was very fast. People were very friendly. WC - A clean WC was there Cleanliness - Very clean. Ambience / Vibe - It was really a different vibe here, in the sense really really good. I really feel proud when I see foreigners in our Indian restaurant. There were more foreigners than Indians🙂🙂

So let's get it straight: this place is amazing! I think this is the best Indian restaurant in the area. Absolutely excellently prepared dishes and a fantastic Pina Colada. We were here for lunch during the day, but I think there must be a nice vibe here for cocktails in the evening. Very nice interior (including restrooms) and it's big enough here that I wouldn't be afraid to go without a reservation.

  • 5/5 Sarah Z. 7 months ago on Google
Very affordable menus for lunch during the week, generous serving and various options (including one or two vegan ones). It's really busy during peak hours, but the service is super efficient and food was quite quick to arrive.

I don't normally rate online but this time I just have to. We are simply thrilled with this restaurant. By chance we walked past it on the way to the Brandenburg Gate on our first day of vacation and spontaneously decided to eat here. The food was super tasty, well seasoned, not too spicy and beautifully presented. We have never eaten such buttery meat. All ingredients were served in separate small pots or plates so that you could put everything together on the plate one by one. The waiters are super friendly and incredibly fast. Given the size of the restaurant, we didn't expect such speed. The cocktails are also highly recommended. And the best thing: all of this at a great price. Because we had such a great experience, we went back here today, 2 days later... and what can I say... incredibly good again. Next time we are in Berlin, this Indian place will definitely be our first choice :):):)
