***Update**** After more than 1.5 years I was back in the area and decided to give this place another try. I was hoping the owner wasn’t there based on my previous experience. I didn’t see him as I walked in and was relieved. However, as I ordered with the nice woman that works there, I disappointedly saw the owner. He was busy in the kitchen. It had been a while since eating there so I decided to give the owner the benefit of the doubt and trust things would be better. Big Mistake. I received my pasta and drink. My dish wasn’t the best but it also wasn’t horrible, I was able to eat it. The pasta I ordered comes with fresh tomatoes which I’m allergic to so I ate all of my pasta but left the tomatoes. When I finished my meal, I took my plate to the counter and paid my bill. As soon as I finished paying, the owner rushed out from the back screaming. My mind raced, I ordered a drink, ate all my food and didn’t stay in the restaurant long. What could he possible be upset about? There were 2 other tables full of guests and everyone froze as the owner screamed at me. I turned to one of the guests and asked what the owner was upset about. The man told me the owner says you didn’t eat the tomatoes and you should have said you didn’t want the tomatoes. I was shocked. I was fine with the tomatoes, I actually like that I’m able to have a slight flavor of tomato even though I can’t eat them. I was so confused and it wasn’t helping that the owner continued to scream at me until I left the restaurant. Never again will I go here. Berlin has too many other cheap Italian restaurants with much better food. Original post: Disappointing food and poor hygiene. Owner is very rude, will suddenly scream angrily at customers.

Der Chef hat so seine Eigenheiten, die man als lustig oder auch anzüglich und cholerisch einstufen mag, aber rundum tolle Getränke und Speisen, tolles authentisches Ambiente und echt tolles Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis!

The owner is highly bad mannered: he invited us to leave the table while we were still drinking because he had other groups to sit there. I highly discourage to come here as when you spend money, you should also receive the proper service. Very bad mannered and impolite. Berlin is full of cheap places with much better service and owners. Very rude.

The chef/owner yelled at me and my friends for not ordering any beverages. When we asked if we could take our food to go he refused to serve us and told us to leave.

Seid der Besitzer gewechselt hat komm ich echt gern hier her. Alles immer sehr unkompliziert. Das Essen ist 1A und die Leute immer gut drauf. Für Fleischesser und auch Vegetarier gibt es ne Menge Auswahl. Alles immer sehr frisch und lecker. Also meine Empfehlung für gute italienische Küche. Preisleistung ist 🤩

I left a very honest review already, but the owner hired someone to remove the negative reviews claiming that we never have business together. That's the length these people will go instead of just getting better. Get a receipt, always!

I regret not calling the police after what I experienced. I was shouted at in front of customers for no reason and physically pushed out of the place. My partner tried to complain and got the same treatment. Read the other negative reviews and you'll get an idea of what goes on here.

Amazing place! Best Italian food at reasonable prices. Some may feel overwhelmed by the "rude owner" as they call it - I think he is just an interesting part of the place and makes it special. Take Aperol and focaccia and just chill.

Won’t waste much of my energy for this: very rude and unfriendly waiter/owner. He made sure that everyone in the restaurant knows that we refused to get drinks while we ordered about 20€ of food. Then he tried to charge us 2€ more. Food: 2/5

Didn’t get a 5 stars because the music was WAY TOO LOUD. The food is good, the wine is good and make sure you know that your getting into a Paolo(the owner) show while you dine, kind of experience. It’s not bad, just overwhelming. But I’m our opinion the food and the price/quality balance is on point. TIPS: * do not order antipasti, is very small and very “standard” compared to the price - and if you do, make sure you eat it of before you order anything else * Order a bottle for 9€ instead of glasses - and take the rest home if

I used to be a frequent customer few years ago but I went recently and It was a nightmare! What is wrong with the owner of this place? I am wondering if insulting and shouting to customers makes this place "authentic italian"..or is it some kind of a concept to turn the place into a mad house?This is a disgrace and definitely not representative to what true Italian is, for sure.Avoid this place ..there are better options for Italian close by...

Super charmanter Laden, mit sehr freundlichen Mitarbeitern und einem tollen Angebot an Speisen und Getränken. Sehr leckere Focaccia - auf alle Fälle immer ein Besuch wert, wenn man dort in der Ecke ist.

Excellent, simple but super food; mostly italian style. Very nice focaccia (pizza), gnocchi and spaghetti aglio olio with shrimps added. Great espresso! Prices very pleasant.
