The food was presented beautifully, but wasn’t that tasty. The drinks were lacking - we asked for relatively basic cocktail additions, i.e. a spicy margarita, but the bartender didn’t have chillis (surprised they didn’t just have this in the restaurant) and a raspberry gin cocktail (they didn’t have raspberries). I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant, but the experience was a bit lacking because of the food/drinks.

Das Menü "Der Sommer" überzeugte durch Präzision, Kreativität und zahlreiche Überraschungsmomente. Das Tartar vom Reh versetzte uns in einen Waldspaziergang und der Wels überzeugte mit einem kräftigen Aromenspiel. Wir haben beide Signaturegänge als Ergänzung gewählt und schwärmen immer noch von Jonas Zörners Interpretation des Butter Chickens. Eine Wucht, die mit ausbalancierter Schärfe auf den Gaumen trifft und einfach nur köstlich schmeckt. Der Hauptgang hat dann feuerwerksartig alle Register gezogen und uns mehr als begeistert, bevor die Desserts mit außergewöhnlichen Geschmacksvariationen den Schlussstrich zogen. Hervorzuheben sind die sehr stimmigen Saucen und Jus des Menüs. Ein besonderer Dank geht an den Restaurantleiter Martin Wolf, der mit seinem professionellen Auftreten und viel Sympathie, die perfekten Weine zu den zahlreichen Gängen einschenkte. Wir können einen Besuch im Golvet ausdrücklich empfehlen und drücken dem Küchenteam um Jonas Zörner ganz fest die Daumen für das Erringen des zweiten Sterns. Es wäre mehr als verdient.

An absolute gem of a restaurant with world class staff. This was our 2nd of 3 pre-booked Michelin star restaurants when we visited Berlin 09-13.06.22. The taster menu (13 dishes in total incl. amuse bouche, little extras and birthday surprise - highlights for us photos added) was really well put together and there was a good flow of dishes coming without the dreaded unnecessary wait in between each dish. My partner didn't feel for the full wine pairing (way too much wine) so instead got a glas there and then as recommended by the sommelier which was bang on. Waiting staff were very informative and had all the back ground info on wines, food source etc and very pleasant to talk to/with. Very reasonable and very well priced and the view from the restaurant is just top notch. We did have difficulties finding the entrance as it was a tad hidden on the side of the building. Public Transportation right outside the door made it very easy to get to and from the restaurant from Unter Den Linden where our hotel was placed. Will come back without a doubt next time we're in Berlin. Absolute Love Golvet restaurant...

Dinner started on a high note: the "snacks" pre-menu were delicious. The 7 courses of the winter menu were also great, and the combinations of ingredients and flavors quite interesting. We went for the cocktail pairing, but that in my opinion was a bit hit or miss. Definitely interesting that some of the cocktails had an ingredient matching the food, and a couple of them were really good. Some others were average I think, and I didn't enjoy the ones paired with the desserts. Service was great: attentive and friendly. I also liked the location: spacious, never noisy, tastefully decorated and with a great view. I would have expected a bit less waiting time between the courses but we were a big group and this type of food requires time to prepare and work on the presentation.

A wonderful weekend night in Golvet. We were lucky it was a clear weather during the day we visited it, enjoy the sunset over the good view of Potsdamer Platz is truly amazing. Speaking of the service, it was warm (German standard) and attentive. Food and drink concept were explained well. We started the evening early when the restaurant was not fully occupied, everything was relaxed. But later when every table was filled, you could see the staff a bit rushing around. The food was excellent but there were some slips to my taste. The presentation on each dish was pretty and colorful fitting to the “spring” menu. The trout was a bit too heavy on smoke taste and the sweetbread was a bit too heavy/greasy, although there was absolutely no gamy taste from the sweetbread as I had been afraid. There was a quite nice selection of cocktails from the bar and the wine paring in my opinion is a must-try. A wide variety of wines companied each dish which were not common to find in regular wine shops. Finally it was glad to get an extra cake at the end of the meal because of leaving addition information of “birthday dinner” at the online reservation.

The location is very singular, you can access it by taking the elevator and going tot be top floor. It allows a view on the city. The ambience is luxurious, the interior is spectacular in every aspect, from the furnishing to the details. The staff is large, they have personal waiters for every table, they explain every plate and the story behind. They have fixed menus, you can choose between 5 or 7 dishes. The meals are all unique and experimental: they try always new and rare ingredients and also special fusions. They also bring you tasting small dishes in between the various meals for you to try the chefs ideas. Their plating is very exceptional, they always serve it in a special way. The only negative aspect was the wait, before you get served the first dish, a long time passes. Moreover, yes they have gluten free and vegetarian options in their fixed menus, but they always get confused and sometimes bring yo the wrong one.

Best experience of my life. This is not only restaurant to eat but it’s an experience of taste and flavour! I was one of that guy always making joke of this kind of restaurant regarding price and portion but I never tried one. I can guarantee you will wake up full and satisfied! The kitchen it’s open view, the chef work in an incredible quite atmosphere, the personal is very friendly but very professional, the sommelier was Italian and suggest multiple wine! If a day I will have the opportunity I would come back for try new menu!

Food ok but I had better value for money in other one star restaurants in Berlin. Groups can make the place noisy. Wine pairing is excellent and the cheese trolley for me the best in Berlin.

I had a wonderful time here even though it wasn’t easy to understand each of the meals I still think it was a amazing experience. Absolutely amazing! I celebrated together with my fiancé our anniversary and we loved Golvet. The courses were perfect and actually remained of winter. We loved each and every dish: the quality of the food was superb and the presentation stunning. People complain about the waiting times but we have visited other Michelin Star restaurants and this is always the case. I think that it has to be like this, so people don’t feel completely full after the second dish and it is also perfect timing to comment/discuss about the previous dish with the other people on the table. Other than getting to the entrance, this place is fantastic! You will need to take a lift up to the 8th floor (it's not obviously signed) once inside you will feel a warm atmosphere, the seating and s well spaced and not to mention great views. Went for the 4 course meal, trust me it's enough! Lots of variety in the dishes and all revealed as they are delivered. Liked all the dishes apart from 1, but it didn't spoil the evening! The service was exquisite, highly recommend checking this restaurant out, it is not cheap but is well worth it.

It is a bit of a food cultural shock/surprise for an asian living in Canada for more than 10 years, the food here is definitely different than what we are used to. In general, the food is either more salty or more sour than North American food, but overall it's a good experience.

Yes the view is nice, good location. I tend to go to a Michelin Starred restaurant for the food though, and considering the price, the food was really not on par. No real flavour, complicated description for something quite bland. Service was nice but the overall experience was way too fussy and over dramatic, compared to the open-kitchen staff cleaning the kitchen before we even had deserts. Can do way better.
