Serves Israeli-style pita sandwiches, amazing variety of salads and vegetarian dishes, including mock General Tao chicken and Mongolian beef. Falafels are among the Top 3 I've tried (including in Israel). This platter has 4 falafels, hummus and hot sauce, 2 slaws, 4 salads, and a pita for $13.99. Standouts were the mushroom salad and sweet potato salad. Brussel sprouts were roasted in maple syrup and a bit sweet for my liking. Easily shareable and filling for 2 people.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Falafel St. Jacques located at 345 St Jacques in Lachine, and I must say, it was an unforgettable culinary experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. The menu at Falafel St. Jacques offers an impressive array of Middle Eastern delights, but it was their falafel that stole the show. The falafel here is simply out of this world! Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, each bite was bursting with a harmonious blend of herbs and spices. The falafel balls were perfectly cooked and had a delightful balance of flavors that left me craving for more. One of the highlights of my visit was the selection of fresh and vibrant toppings and sauces available to accompany the falafel. From tangy tahini to zesty garlic sauce, each condiment added its own unique twist to the already outstanding falafel. The pita bread used was fluffy and pillowy, providing the perfect vehicle to hold all the deliciousness together. The staff at Falafel St. Jacques deserves a special mention for their exceptional hospitality and attentiveness. They were knowledgeable about the menu and were more than willing to make recommendations based on individual preferences. The service was prompt, and I truly felt like a valued guest throughout my dining experience. In addition to their remarkable falafel, Falafel St. Jacques also offers an enticing selection of other Middle Eastern dishes. Their hummus was smooth and creamy, the tabbouleh was refreshingly tangy, and the shawarma was succulent and bursting with flavor. It's evident that the chefs at this establishment take great pride in preparing each dish to perfection. The cleanliness and hygiene standards at Falafel St. Jacques were also commendable. The dining area was spotless, and I could see that proper care was taken to maintain a clean and inviting environment. Overall, my visit to Falafel St. Jacques was an absolute delight. The combination of incredible flavors, friendly service, and inviting ambiance left a lasting impression on me. If you're a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine or simply looking for an exceptional dining experience, I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Falafel St. Jacques. It's a hidden gem in Lachine that deserves all the praise it receives

This was my first time eating at Falafel St. Jacques. I had heard about it and it was highly recommended to me. The manager gave me some samples to try a few different items. I wanted everything!!! I had the Jerusalem mix with fries and the Thai eggplant and baba ganoush (because what else would you have with French fries!). Everything was absolutely incredible. Everything was fresh and so tasty. I can’t wait to go back! Service was next level

We rushed in with a local friend on a snowy night when we needed some homecooking. Our friend said this is some of the freshest food in the Neighbourhood. She was not wrong! Thank you Shanny for a memorable and delicious meal that we won’t forget. The freshness of the home made salads and the proteins were excellent! We’ll be back the next time we’re in MTL. Merci!

OMG.. I don’t know where to start about this place. It’s incredible. I drove by it many times and it’s always busy so I finally stopped and went in. I’m so happy I did. The service and the atmosphere is awesome. I didn’t know it was vegan but it was the most amazing sandwiches I have ever had in my life. The shish taouk is mushroom based but I could swear I was eating meat. The freshness of the ingredients is incredible. I recommend this place to everyone

Vegetarian Mushroom Shawarma, Fresh Salads, Pitas, Hummus, Tahini Here is one of my favourite places to get some good, holsom and fresh middle eastern food. Some of you lucky few already know of falafelstjacques and have already enjoyed its amazing vegetarian options. But for those of you that are just finding out about this place for the very first time, get ready. . falafelstjacques also speaks to me on a personal level. It's Israeli owned by Ronen Baruch who is Jewish, and its managed by Saleh Seh who is a Palestinian from Israel. This Jewish-Palastinian duo have been working together since 2004, and they show us that food really brings the people together. . As a meat eater, I was skeptical the first time I walked in and they told me that all of the meat is substituted with a mix of mushrooms. At first, I wasn't convinced that they would get the same taste and texture that meat has to offer, but honestly, they really pull it off! . The flavours are so amazing, the spices are simply on point with a traditional shawarma you would get in Israel. The Pitas are made fresh daily, and so are all of the 12+ salads they have to choose from that change on a day to day basis. This insures the importance of freshness, quality and a standard they really live up to. . Come here for the Shawarma, for the Falafel which they are WORLD renowned for, or even some of their many many Jewish baked desserts which are also made daily. One thing is for sure, you will leave full and satisfed!

Falafel St. Jacque truly stands out as the epitome of falafel perfection, not just in Montreal but across the entirety of Canada. Every visit to this establishment is an extraordinary experience that leaves you craving more. What sets Falafel St. Jacque apart, beyond its exceptional cuisine, is the incredibly friendly and socially engaging staff. They go above and beyond to make you feel not just like a customer but a cherished guest. Their warm hospitality transforms every visit into a delightful and memorable occasion. Now, let's talk about the falafel itself, which is nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. The exterior boasts a perfect crispiness, while the interior is bursting with flavor and tenderness. I highly recommend trying their falafel sandwich, a true work of art. It's generously loaded with authentic hummus, homemade spicy turnip, eggs, and fried eggplant, all elegantly complemented by Tahini sauce and a sprinkle of fresh parsley. Each bite is an explosion of harmonious tastes that will captivate your palate. What's more, I'm so enamored with Falafel St. Jacque that I find myself grabbing some takeout to savor in London, Ontario, every time I visit Montreal. The irresistible allure of their cuisine knows no bounds. In summary, Falafel St. Jacque is an exceptional culinary gem that should not be missed. With its unbeatable combination of extraordinary food and warm service, it's a highly recommended destination in Montreal for both locals and visitors alike.

Ordered out from Falafel st Jaques and we had a good experience. We had the sabich, falafel wrap, falafel plate and salad. The food was very fresh and tasty and we're definitely coming back. Good alternative to some of the other falafel joints in the city.

One of the best Falafel sandwiches I have had in Montreal and around so far. The falafels very moist and the pita was fresh and soft. Also took a box of assorted baklava, they were decent. Lot of vegetarian options to choose from. Only down side is finding a parking. Highly recommend checking this place for good vegetarian options, especially falafels.

Some of the best food I've had in my life, and I'm not vegetarian. Fresh veggies, great service, and decent prices. You want to eat here. Trust me. Only downside is the difficult parking.

As someone who has grown up with this type of food I can say this is as good as back home . Everything is absolutely fresh , 100% vegan and each plate come with a choice of 6 salads . Portions are more than very generous and prices very reasonable . Place is small and to beat line ups best to go before 5;30 pm or after 7 pm . Everything is also avaliable for take out as a plate or each item also sold separately , baked items made on premises great and best pita bread outside the middle east .

So many good things to say about the food here. Falafels are fried to order so they are hot and crispy but still smooth. Falafel pita is well constructed within a thick pita bread so that the moisture from sauces and vegetable toppings don't have the sandwich falling apart. Toppings are generous and sauces are very flavorful. Service is very friendly and feel genuine. For a quick, filling, very well-priced lunch I would definitely recommend Falafel St Jacques

Ordered for too good to go as well as purchased some things. I’m aware the too good to go stuff is what needs to be sold but at least make sure it’s not mouldy. The potato latkes had mould all over them. The pita unfortunately tasted horribly like mould. I purchased the halva croissant pastries which had been rancid. I tried giving this place another chance but the mould really set me over the edge. Location VSP

Im not sure what the hype is here? I have been waiting to try this place for so long, I’m glad I got it out of my system. We bought a shawarma sandwich, a shawarma platter, a box of cookies and a chocolate babka. All of this cost me $60, I have no idea what that lady charged me. 1. The shawarma “meat” was so soft, and it had a curry taste. I didn’t enjoy this at all. (Sham has way better shawarma sandwiches) 2. The chocolate babka was raw inside. What a waste of money. Also, I’m not sure you can trust this place with the labels on their food. The lady told me that the one we purchased had egg on it, it doesn’t mention egg on the label. Also, it says may contain nuts, but it HAS nuts in it. I’m a little confused. I will NOT be going back here nor recommend this place to anyone unfortunately.

Excellent, authentic food. All vegan! The staff are warm and outgoing, you will be 100% taken care of. Might be best for take out but we found a table outside and that was fun. It's not upscale fancy, but that isn't the vibe here. Oh, yes we will return, to try the sampler, roasted olives, desserts...

First time here and my tastebuds were blown away!! We ordered the sabich pita sandwich, shawarma pita sandwich, shish taouk/vege chicken pita sandwich, and falafel pita sandwich. They were all so so delicious!! Jam packed with flavors and spices!! I took a few bites out of all of them and my favorite will have to be the shawarma sandwich. They were all very filling too! The service here is great!! Super friendly staff that made us feel really welcomed!! 10/10 will come again!! My stomach was very happy after a meal here and very sad once I took the last bite!

  • 4/5 Mony M. 3 years ago on Google
Good falafel sandwich. The falafels are made fresh to order, so you know you are always getting hot, fresh sandwiches. My only complaint is that the pita is a little bit heavy and the salad is chopped a little bit big for my taste, so the composition of the sandwich can be better. Otherwise, the schug is delicious, tahina sauce excellent and if eaten right away, the sandwich is nice and satisfying. Does not travel very well, however...Service is consistently friendly!
