We
have
been
to
the
place
4
times
during
the
last
one
year
and
are
planning
for
a
fifth
visit.
It
is
our
favourite
place
for
a
peaceful,
cosy
and
leisurely
stay.
Neat,
clean,
green
and
serene
ambience
covering
no
less
than
2-2.5
acres
of
land;
a
rustic
looking
central
home,
a
green
lawn,
beautiful
restaurant
house,
two
cottages
and
some
other
rooms
and
many
trees;
close
to
Shyambati
but
away
from
city
noises.
The
cottage
rooms
are
comfortable,
spacious;
tastefully
furnished
and
decorated;
a
good
stock
of
books
covering
various
subjects
and
tastes;
the
front
varanda
is
a
reminiscence
of
a
charm,
lost
long
back;
sitting
there
with
a
book
and
a
cup
of
coffee
will
make
your
day.
Delicious
food
of
varied
cuisine
-
Indian,
Chinese,
Continental,
Mughlai
and
others.
I
had
the
unique
experience
of
tasting
traditional
dishes
prepared
with
uncommon
ingredients,
vegetables
and
spices.
One
can
have
a
wide
variety
of
evening
snacks
as
well.
Home
made
jams
and
pickles
of
beautiful
taste
and
flavour
are
also
available
with
food
and
for
purchase.
It
is
interesting
to
have
a
homemade
sweet
dish
of
wonderful
taste
after
every
meal.
Madam
Sukanya
Roy
runs
the
entire
arrangement,
starting
from
kitchen,
food,
marketing,
lodging
arrangements
with
only
6-7
local
ladies
trained
and
guided
by
herself.
She
is
a
courteous
person
with
incredible
ability
and
great
creative
and
aesthetic
sense.
The
restaurant
has
earned
a
name
in
the
locality
and
to
the
tourists
who
visit
Shantiniketan.
Besides
her
own
guests,
a
lot
of
guests
from
other
hotels,
home-stays
used
to
come
to
her
restaurant
in
search
of
delicious
food.
I
gave
her
contact
to
a
group
of
special
people
for
dinner
and
breakfast
there.
They
all
had
praises
for
her.
In
the
end,
it
is
a
bit
costly
but
given
the
comfort
peace,
ambience,
taste
and
service
they
provide,
it
is
quite
reasonable.
