The hostel itself is alright, but it's location is really not. It takes thirty minutes by bus from Bonn central station to get to the hostel. The busses depart every twenty minutes and on the weekend the intervals are even longer. The hostel is located on the "Venusberg" and there is nothing there only woods and nature, so if you came for a nature trip, the hostel is perfect for you, but if you came to see Bonn, you should look for a different accommodation. Still, the hostel is in a good shape, since it's brand-new and the food they serve for breakfast, lunch and dinner is good too.

Wir wurden freundlich empfangen. Die Zimmer waren sauber. Das Frühstück für eine Jugendherberge ordentlich. Einziges Manko, die Wände waren extrem dünn. Man konnte alles hören. Ich hatte das Pech, dass eine Familie mit Baby vor Ort war. Das Baby war dann mitten in der Nacht, wie es manchmal eben ist, wach und hat geschrien… und ich konnte es hören obwohl sie am anderen Ende des Ganges ihr Zimmer hatten.

The rooms are very small, not like what you see on the photos. Four girls with suitcases struggled for a week to fit in the room. The first floor rooms are just big enough to walk in and lay down in bed. Be aware that there is no soap or towel included in the price. There was vegan food served every second day and breakfast did not include any eggs or porridge. Coffee was very weak. Lots of room for improvement

The hostel is more than 30 mins (by bus) from Bonn central station. It is located in quiet place at the edge of a forest. Interior of the hostel is typical. Breakfast are served with bread and butter with fruit and juice. Hot coffee is also avilable. Behaviour of the staffs are friendly. A walking tour around the hostel would be wonderful.

Stayed here during my cycle trio to Switzerland, as I also did 47 years ago. Bit noisy, but loved the experience. Great meal and breakfast for the price they charge.

They have a serene environment. Their four bed shared room is spacious with individual lockers. Their buffet is very delicious and affordable. They also have fast Internet connection. The bad thing about it that you have only one hour per a day to use. Which for me is bad.

bad food, tasted absolutely horrible, was either not seasoned at all or were overly seasoned. Personal was unfriendly and didn't talk at all There's nothing to do and the rooms smell very bad The light over the beds make the whole room shine - totally ruining the purpose of the lights for only shining for the one bed There's blood on the doors and on the bed sheets Also the showers are very small and the water gets way to hot for skin and the showers are not fully build - no shower head in my room and in some room's the water doesn't get away and floats the room. The bed sheets are icky and they're dirty and smell, probably not washed at all. There's no soap in the bathroom and no hand towels Absolutely horrible, wouldn't recommend to anyone, especially school classes.

War die Jugendherberge in Bonn anfangs nur zweite Wahl, überzeugte mich das Upgrade und die Leichtigkeit, mit der man dort mit Gästen umgeht. Frühstück mit vielen Bio Produkten, ein reichhaltiges Mittagessen und dem großen Parkplatz direkt an der Straße, war perfekt für meine Bedürfnisse zugeschnitten. Mein recht großes Einzelzimmer mit Schreibtisch und gutem WLAN war dann auch wie geschaffen für meine Projekte. Beim nächsten Besuch in Bonn meine erste Wahl.

Wir waren im Juni 2018 hier auf Klassenfahrt und die DJH war für 3 Tage unsere Unterkunft. Die Zimmer waren sauber und nicht zu klein. Die Betten waren relativ bequem. Das Frühstück war leider nicht gut.

Also die teils negativen Bewertungen kann ich überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen, haben uns von Anfang an wohlgefühlt und durften zwei tolle Nächte rund um Silvester genießen mit perfekt orchestriertem Programm. Das Buffet war stets reichhaltig, frisch und für jeden Geschmack war etwas dabei... Das Personal war freundlich, sehr hilfsbereit und immer ansprechbar. Das wichtigste aber, unser Zimmer war pieksauber und die Betten bequem. Hinter all dem steckt sicher viel Arbeit. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an alle, die uns ein so schönes Silvester ermöglicht haben!! :)

Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer wirklich gut. Abstriche gibt es beim Kaffeeautomaten (viel zu teuer und dazu noch Mini-Portionen) und dem angebotenen Frühstückspaket-Service: die Brote hätten deutlich mehr Belag gebraucht, stilles Wasser im Tetra-Pack will niemand. Durch meine Termine konnte ich das normale Frühstück und die dazugehörige Kaffeeverköstigung nicht in Anspruch nehmen. Leider sind hier noch die schlichtesten/schlechtesten Bettlaken im Ensatz, die gar nicht über alle bereitgestellten Matratzen passen und Bettdecke, Kopfkissen und Toilettenpapier sind mehr als dünn.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt zum Jahreswechsel in der Jugendherberge. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und rundum gut versorgt. Das Essen war sehr lecker und vieles in Bio Qualität, toll. Der Kottenforst direkt am Haus hat zum spazieren gehen eingeladen und ist mit seinen Kinderspielplätzen und dem Wildtiergehege besonders für die Kleinsten eine Atraktion. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Aufenthalt!

Very nice staff. Rooms are proper and breakfast as well. Wifi is still complicated.

Good service. Good breakfast. I had a little problem with my locker, but they fixed it as fast as possible. It is far from zentrum tho.

A nasty hotel with filthy sheets. This is not the place. The room wasn’t clean, the price was so and the staff was really rude and impolite. They didn’t respect there customer. We where a big group and this was there last chance.

Low budget stay, good for group. Breakfast buffet all bio products, feel like at school again. Nice , tidy and clean

Ich war dort mit meiner Klasse auf Klassenfahrt und es war ganz okay. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und das Essen war auch sehr gut. Man kommt gut zur Stadt, da es dort direkt gegenüber eine Bushaltestelle gibt. Auch Netto ist nicht weit entfernt. Aber tatsächlich ist es so, dass die Zimmerwände extrem dünn sind und man alles aus den anderen Zimmern nebenan hört. An sich ist es sehr schön, wenn man dort um die Jugendherberge einen Spaziergang machen möchte, denn es liegt direkt an einem Wald, was sehr zur Beruhigung dient.

Wir haben die Jugendherberge Bonn zum Jahreswechsel 2023/24 besucht. Wir sind absolut begeistert von unserem Aufenthalt. Toller Service, gemütliche Betten, ruhige Zimmer und eine rundum gelungene Silvesterparty! Die Verpflegung war super klasse und es gab am Neujahrstag sogar ein Langschläfer-Frühstück vom Allerfeinsten. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
