Unfortunately, it has to be mentioned that many homeless people live in front of the hotel with their dogs, some of whom bark until late at night. In addition, our tires were stolen from one of our bicycles in front of the hotel entrance overnight.

One of the best places to go and chill in the evening with your friends during the summer, a lovely view from the rooftop and guess what? You can play baby foot with random and nice people, 8vs8, that's an awesome experience if you want to socialize or have a good time.

Don't bother with the bar! Views are good, hugely overpriced, basically no service. We got a table, I went to the bar to buy drinks (4 people behind the bar) and was told it was table service only, we sat there for 10 minutes and no-one came near us so we left, hopeless.

I came here for the food. I was pleasantly surprised by the place and didn't quite know how to take it. But what an adventure it is. Very lively and full of fun and sass the menu was an easy treat and it felt like a great place to hang with your friends and enjoy the night Not a fancy joint but an entertaining locale.

Came here whilst on holiday in Bordeaux and it was recommended by a friend, it didn’t disappoint!! Staff were very attentive and helpful, the decor is cool and contemporary. It was a very fun, friendly and family oriented place. And then there’s the food, which was absolutely delicious. So glad they had options for vegetarians too. The desserts were delicious, definitely recommend leaving room for these too!! We then went upstairs to the roof top bar for cocktails, and these too were fantastic. You really should fit this place in for a visit if you’re in the beautiful city of Bordeaux! It won’t disappoint!

The hotel has exceptional parking, boasts amazing g location, customer service provided is super, rooftop bar and restaurant are buzzing with activity and beautiful locals! Great fun place to stay with personal touches and exceptional service!

Came here for lunch on the rooftop with a reservation. Ordered 3 starters. 2 of them were completely wrong. Ordered drinks and waited nearly 40 mins for them to be delivered. There were only 5 other tables accounted for. Horrendous service.

Unfortunately this place was style over substance. A really cool setting in central Bordeaux sees the bottom floor of the hotel transformed into restaurant, bar, entertainment and meeting space. Unfortunately, on Sunday, the surroundings didn’t match the service. This can be a terrible time to visit as less busy services can often lead to sleepy, inattentive staff. A couple were left waiting to be seated by the door for upward of ten minutes before making their way to the bar and the team member on duty finally seating them. It was hard to watch. A lukewarm but tasty starter of stuffed mushroom arrived. The cocktails were ok - nothing to blow you away and actually had a bit of a strange smell (perhaps the dehydrated fruit?). My onglet / bavette style minute steak was cooked very well and frites were obviously made in house but lacked the crunch I was hoping for. My dinner guest sent his sirloin back. It was cold! We have had many rare thick cuts that were not cold so it was disappointing. When it returned, there was what looked like a hair in the frites. I can only put this down to a stray bit of brush but who knows. Off putting. Also, the dish still wasn’t hot. We ordered a second round of drinks that never arrived. In total there were a maximum if 10 tables. Our server was good but a little slow and not at all engaging. It was the other member of the floor team, responsible for greeting and seating, dropping the check and assisting on the floor who wasn’t on his a game that night. Disappointing overall experience as we had a perfect experience in Paris many years ago.

Worst welcome ever at a hotel! Not only I was charged 900e in my CREDIT card as preauth but also they pretend to pay in advance 2 NIGHTs meaning 500e more. Apparently it does not show up in their System so we cannot access our room and we are invited to walk around the City until all is solved… their problem but on us… here clients are last and no trust! For 260e per NIGHT you will surely find better places and friendly treatment somewhere else un the City!

The room is beautiful (except for the area with the microwave and fridge) and the service is excellent. The food is so-so in general, but the Tarte Banoffee is absolutely delicious. I stayed here on a business trip and booked a Medium Mama room, but the hotel willingly gave me and my colleagues room upgrades to a Large Mama room. That was quite nice. Thanks for having us!

I went to the rooftop bar with my friends at sunset and it was really nice! There was a good vibe to the place and it's perfect to go out with friends , they have a good selection of cocktails, wines and beers. The food is a bit pricey and very small portions but all in all a nice place to go with the sunset!

We stayed here for two nights. Unusual perfect blend of a small but beautifully decorated room and a rooftop bar that welcomes both a trendy crowd and tourists that just want to have a nice time without any fuss. The staff were very friendly and helpful. And the location is perfect to discover Bordeaux on foot. Go for it!

The staff at Mama Shelter were truly helpful when we arrived at 7pm after 9 hours of driving requiring three rooms after a supposed booking elsewhere hadn't actually been made. We were made to feel welcome and not at all an inconvenience. The three rooms were comfortable and clean. We enjoyed much appreciated drinks on the rooftop bar before having a great nights sleep in preparation for another long day of driving. Special thanks to Agathe and a chap we have forgotten the name of but we think it began with C!
