Large city centre pub that has a really nice range of draft beers to choose from. Service was excellent and drink prices were very reasonable considering the location. It was my last beers in Boston before heading back to the airport and a great way to finish off our trip .

I had a lot of fun here. I was in town for a weekend...would sit at the bar and meet locals and others visiting. This spot attracts a diverse crowd... I went twice and there was always an open seat....friendly bartenders and great patrons!

The food was good. However, our waiter wasn't nice, it was my friend's birthday and he didn't give a ... The we gave a 10% tip and he mistreated us because he couldn't understand the tip (for a really bad service -the table was dirty, he refused to explain the sides of the dish, menu's and food took forever). We then tried to sit in the Bar and it was clear that our waiter spoke to the other waiters, so that no one would serve us anything else. Tips are for a good service, he wa bad from moment one and then we had this bad experience. To never, ever come back. We never mistreated him, he just expected a 20% tip for bad service.

linh wanted to go here to watch a soccer game so we went and they didn’t have the channel for premier league 😭😭 but we were all too shy to leave so we ordered guac and chips and played pool. Pool costs 2$ for each round (capitalism in its working) and we played 10 rounds it was fun 🤪🤪

Fun tourist bar! Nicely located across the street from the Granery graveyard. Simple beer selection and good bar food. The bathrooms were a little gross. But that’s to be expected in a very busy tourist area. The bar staff was very nice and the atmosphere is fun. Lots of things to look at. This would also be a great place to watch a sports game.

Service was great. We were at the end of our last day and wanting to check a few things off our Boston food "must haves" and were not disappointed. One stop restaurant/pub with lots of Bostons iconic dishes. We got the mac & cheese with added lobster, turkey club with a side of baked beans. I loved the mac and cheese, the cheese taste was quite powerful, didn't exactly highlight the lobster however. Next time I would only have the plain mac and cheese and knock off the lobster price tag. Turkey club (5 stars from my hubby) Beans were awesome, not too sweet with yummy seasoning. You can't order just a small portion to sample, so we got it as a side. I also had a Beantown Ale, yummy! Easily walkable from the "T" subway stop across the street. Inside and patio seating.

Beantown pub is ALWAYS a memorable experience! All the food, from breakfast through dinner is delicious (especially the wings, fish tacos, and fried pickles), and their specialty cocktails are so good (especially their apple cider mimosa!). Highly recommend a stop here at any hour!

On a cold, rainy night, this place was a godsend. I was happy to find the kitchen open late. Their baked beans with brown bread had been on my radar to try for a while, and they were really good. The lobster grilled cheese (with Swiss on rye) hit the spot, too. My server, Emily, was super nice, and the beer was cold. What more can you ask for? I liked the atmosphere and the abundance of visible TVs as well.

First time in the Beantown for us. Not a fan of their sports teams, but did appreciate the city. Expensive though. Lots of history. This place is right in the middle of it. A great place.

One of my favorite places to pop in and have a drink, and enjoy some delicious food. Beantown Pub offers great food and good beers. The service staff and friendly and professional, and despite the hustle and bustle of many patrons coming and going, they make time to ensure you're being taken care of. My only complaint is the bathrooms and their cleanliness level. In all the times I've visited they've not been particularly clean, which is understandable given the high volume of patrons, but is still off putting but I've seen worse in Boston. Everything else makes this spot worth visiting.

I've had a few fish n' chips during my stay in New England, and this has got to be the best! Well seasoned fish, great portion sizes and good service. Will definitely be coming back next time I'm in Boston.

Great location near major landmarks. Very friendly staff and great service. Great place to stop for quick adult beverage(beer) or sit down inside or outside and enjoy a good burger and drink. Very busy location but you are seated quickly and waited on timely. Highly recommended to stop in for a few.

Phenomenal pub! Great food, great drinks! Great staff! Great environment. Not to loud, not to quiet, and just the right amount of intimacy. If you're in the city and have the opportunity to visit this establishment you should definitely do so. You won't regret it!

A very welcoming place to go, the staff greets you as soon as you walk in. We ordered the honey buffalo wings, potato tarts and fries. Those wings is a must try! From the looks of it a lot of ppl go there to watch sports.

Cold beers and friendly bartenders and staff. Kitchen had apparently just closed by the time we got there so had to order chip and salsa, but it was a cool spot. Only 3 pool tables, so it wasn't really a surprise we weren't able to play.

Regarding Beantown Pub dining area: I admit, I was half thinking “here we go, another overpriced tourist trap…” Nope. Our food was great - we got the signature burger and a salad. Both well conceived and way above average. Nice people also. Just go.

Bar food, bar atmosphere. That said, nice spot! Lobster roll was good and Sam Adams beer was fresh.

  • 5/5 Uliana A. 2 years ago on Google
The best lobster roll I've tried so far! Lot of lobster meat. Usually I don't eat fries but it was so good - crunchy outside and soft inside, like baked potato.

  • 4/5 Jennifer L. 2 years ago on Google
Food is a absolutely delicious, and they have a wide selection of drinks to choose from (my margarita this time wasn't great, or it would be a five). The pool table and Olympics on the televisions (and other sports when I've been in the past) really add to a laid-back, just got off from work, just looking to have fun with some friends atmosphere. It's worth the effort!

  • 4/5 The Shameless F. 2 years ago on Google
Food was delicious, but ridiculously priced. For 2 sandwiches and a small latte, it was $42. Also, it took nearly an hour for our food to come out to us, even though we seemed to be 2 of the only people there. Had to keep asking for updates on progress and got incorrect “guesstimate” answers each time. Aside from that, the sandwiches were good, house made chips were a delicious side, and the specialty latte was delicious. I wouldn’t go back due to the experience I had, but the food was good once it finally came out.

This place is amazing! My son and I went to Boston over the weekend for New Year’s and not only did we eat here for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day but also rang in the new year at the pub. The food is amazing but the staff is what really mades this place special! Thank you all for making our time in Boston extra special! Love…”the regulars” (Melissa and Jake)

Great night out! The atmosphere is fun and busy. Huge place. Didn’t know how they would wait on us or keep track of all the patrons since you seat yourself but it worked out great. Food was delicious!! And Hot!

I am an unabashed tourist. If you are the same, then this has got to be on your list of pubs if you visit them. Samuel Adams Boston Red Brick ale is unique to this area. Staff was friendly and accommodating to our group. A great stop along the Freedom Trail!

Bistro comfort food, nothing special unless you come for the hottest chicken wigs ever! they are def what they say they are! hot hot hot! The staff is nice. But the place is not as authentic as they say it is, very touristy and very noisy.

Great pub! Great location along the freedom trail and near many of the attractions Boston had to offer. Food: was very good, and a good selection of beverages Service: friendly and attentive (it can get busy, so you may need patience at times) Atmosphere: great authentic pub atmosphere Highly recommend

The quintessential Boston dive bar. But a fun mix of tourists & locals. Good food & drink can be had here while taking a break from tours & sightseeing.

  • 4/5 Brittany P. 2 years ago on Google
Good food; had the clam chowder, lobster grilled cheese w/baked beans & Boston cream pie. Kitchen open late (1130 pm) which was awesome since we arrived around 1100 pm. Our server was fantastic. A bit touristy location but good for satisfying a late night dinner need close to our hotel.

  • 3/5 Jesse 11 months ago on Google
Solid Boston pub to watch sports or play pool. Food was overpriced but okay. We got the potato skins appetizer which was good. Also got the buffalo wings and garlic Parmesan wings. The buffalo wings were very standard. The garlic Parmesan ones were very disappointing. No garlic flavor, very bland, dry rub wings with Parmesan on top. Would have been a very mediocre experience except our waitress was just really bad. Had to ask multiple times for water, beer, had to ask for plates and silverware and she kept disappearing for long stretches. Would come back if I knew I would get a different waitress.

Came in starving after a long morning of travel. Fantastic food and excellent service—left full and happy. Gotta give the Beantown Burger and tater kegs a try. Burger was one of the best I’ve had in ages, and the kegs were a delightful crispy, warm hug. 10000/10.

I enjoyed my time at the Beantown Pub! The food, especially the fries were good. I don't remember what I got but I know it was a chicken sandwich of some sort. A little pricey but it is what it is after all it's a bar in the heart of Boston. Drink: Blue Hawaii

My wife and I stopped in Beantown Pub in the middle of our Freedom Trail history scavenger hunt/Bar Crawl. We didn’t plan to get food but we were glad we did. We split a Sam Adams Sandwich and it was both delicious and filling. It’s a good size sandwich, so Im glad we split it. Great food and great service. Thanks!

Authentic Bostonian Pub right in Downtown with a very chill atmosphere and friendly staff perfect for some dinner and drinks or just to catch “the game” with friends and some beers. Open late but kitchen closes early they do give out a last call. I really recommend this place if you are looking for that Irish/Boston Pub vibe.

  • 4/5 Jack K. 1 year ago on Google
An unassuming surprising lunch stop. All our table got sandwiches and they were all hearty and filling. Quiet enough on a Tuesday so it was comfortable. Server was super pleasant. Fine beer selection.

  • 2/5 Ebony H. 1 year ago on Google
Went here for the baked beans. I read somewhere that they were the best here. That is false, beans lacked flavor, I don’t think any spice was used. They put molasses and beans together and called it a day. 2/10 would not bean again. They bread that was served with the beans however was pretty good 8/10 would eat again. The pub itself was nice, had a great atmosphere. Also ordered the Beantown Ale which was refreshing. 6.5/10 would drink again.

Was visiting my boyfriend at college and he suggested we go here for dinner. He loves the Paul Revere sandwich, and I ordered the honey fried chicken sandwich. I know this is Massachusetts, but that was the best fried chicken sandwich I've ever eaten. I'm giving 4 stars not five because I ordered the sandwich with no pickles, and as the waitress set my food down, I spotted the pickles and she even said "here's the chicken sandwich with no pickles" not a problem, picked them off and it was still delicious!

THE BEST LOBSTER ROLL I’VE HAD TO DATE!!! If you’re in Boston, you have to hit up Beantown Pub! Good food, good atmosphere, great service!

  • 3/5 Zach J. 3 years ago on Google
Great location. The drinks are reasonably priced and the service was good however I thought the food was very overpriced and not great. It gave me stomach problems after. I believe the chicken was undercooked. I recommend only as a drinking spot.

If you are reading this because you are thinking about getting the lobster roll, you should! Came across this place randomly as we were looking for food in Boston. Love the atmosphere, the place is larger than it looks and has multiple seating options. The service was great and our waiter was awesome. I ordered the seasonal summer lager which was yummy. Though the lobster roll seems pricey, it was super delicious and filling, I didn’t eat until lunch the next day! I would definitely come back!

We ate here for breakfast several times, and the food is very good, the prices are excellent, especially for downtown Boston, and the service has always been very good. The place is pretty clean, at least in the morning, and the decor is of course, Boston sports, what else should it be for a place that's primarily a bar in downtown Boston!
