A great escape from the rain! So it started raining cats and dogs out of nowhere and the bar was right beside our hotel. The lone waiter greeted us with a big smile and recommended us some really fine beers. We took Boston Best Burger (with sauteed mushrooms and bacon), two Porter BBQ Burgers, Cajun Chicken Salad and a Clam Chowder. The burgers were really good, the others also enjoyed their meals. They kinda missed the cooking level of the patty a lil bit and it was delicious nevertheless. We were actually sorry we didn't find this place sooner!

It is wonderful sport bar where it serves drinks, burgers, and chips. Additionally, chips are amazing and thick! I would recommend the “the Boston’s best burger”!!!!

Great selection of beers, ales & IPAs. Friendly staff and great food. THE place to be pre & post game if you're visiting TD Gardens.

Classic Boston pub but in good order and very clean. Staff is friendly, food is surprisingly good, and a decent draft list that will have something for everyone. Perfect place before a Celtics/Bruins game, or any other event at the TF garden. I recommend the Cuban sandwich.

Nice spot with bar, table and booth seating. They show various sports on 3 screens and stuck on the champions league when I asked if they had CBS. The burger I had here was easily the best I'd eaten in Boston. Friendly staff and patrons.

😎how many times have I been to this place? 1 👩🏻summary: many different flavors of chicken wings ($12.99 for each) available - buffalo sauce was bland but caribbean jerk was good! 💬service: quick and attentive 💁🏻‍♀️would I revisit this place? maybe yes

Tasty hamburgers and good beer! This restaurant really saved our dinner after arriving late in Boston.

I’d first like to start off with the positives! We received amazing service from a very friendly staff and the atmosphere was great. We ordered drinks, Buffalo wings, and tried to order the Belgian fries because they sound amazing. The drinks were excellent, but unfortunately the wings were a miss and we unintentionally ordered just a side of fries. I asked our server if these were the Belgian fries, and our server said he would get them. Once we received the fries, they were identical to the side of fries with a side of three dips. The menu said they would be twice fried crispy shoestrings and they certainly didn’t live up to that description. Before we left we saw some burgers that looked amazing, so it’s very possible we just didn’t order the best of the menu. I would say overall the drinks and service were very good, but the food left a lot to be desired.

I have no complaints about this place. Staff were great wish that I tried the food it looked and smelled great. A dinosaur in the area construction workers, business professionals and just about every one else. Great place and job hopefully you can keep it going.

Classic bar and grill. Diverse draft selection. Burger was satisfying (A-) Fries’ ratio was nearly perfect (A) . Staff is wicked nice. Music on point. Sports on all the TVs. Highly recommended.

Good pub menu with plenty of apps and burger options. Plenty of other comfort foods too. Service was quick and solid pre Celtics game.

Stayed near by and stopped by before then after a bruins game. The place was really inviting. The Bouncer was very polite. The person that seated us was also very nice and cheerful. The waitresses we had were both very friendly and both were working very hard.they made wanting to tip extra very easy. Everything we had ordered was fast and very good! I will return Keep up the great work!!

Great atmosphere and nice staff. But unfortunately the food was far below expectations. The burger buns were dry as hell, the meet asked in medium was a piece of charcoal and the fries were not good.

Caught a Celtics game and stayed at a hotel around the corner. Post game we wanted a meal and drink and this was right next to the hotel so why not. Staff was super friendly and welcoming which isn’t always the case at a sports bar. Food really hit the spot - simple bar food but done right. Burger made well, fries were crispy, and chicken tenders were well cooked. Cocktails were well balanced and tasted good. Obviously plenty of beer on top and decent selection of microbrews. Would definitely go back.

My husband and I showed up on Valentine’s Day before a Celtics game without a reservation and Jeff made sure to find a place for us. The service was top notch and the food was delicious. We even stopped back in for a night cap after the game.

Jeff did an awesome job. Stopped by before the game against the panthers. Seated quickly, food and drinks served quickly, food was delicious, and Jeff was amazing. Keep up the great work team at Porters Bar and Grill.

If you are on Boston and you want to a solid bar meal and the absolute best owner guest experience anywhere you go here. Never have I felt so at home with someone who instantly was on top of all aspects of our dining experience. Went to Porters cause I heard they have the best wings in town. Can't verify that claim as I only had wings there and am not a local but as a wing snob I can say that was exactly what I want from a wing. Big group of us and we all ordered different items, everyone was super pleased with the food they received. Received VIP treatment and will be back anytime I'm on town.

Hesitant to write this review for popularity reasons...ONLY because I know it is a true gem in Boston! I went for the first of many times last night after the Chappelle show, and was SO happy to know that the kitchen was still open. We ordered buffalo wings, which are always perfectly made (seriously, some of the best wings I've ever had). Flavor, crispness- no need to be in a buzz to know how good it is. The service has ALWAYS been amazing, welcoming and comforting. Whether for a take out lunch or a night out, Porter's is home in a busy Boston area. I can't wait to return!

Went for lunch during my break. They had just opened for the day so it was quiet. Chowder was great and the burger was good. Just a hop, skip and a jump from North Station/TD Garden.

Stopped in while waiting for our train, when we felt the first raindrops. Friendly staff and quick service. Had the Fish and Chips and it was excellent. Fish was perfectly cooked. Fries were crisp and tasty. Also had I believe it was a Honey Pomegranate Mule which had great flavor without being overly sweet. Good stuff. It was pretty quiet when I was there late afternoon so might be different when it's slammed but I'd go again to find out.

Jody is one of the best servers I've ever had! I've had her as my server a bunch of times when I've come in for trivia and I've also had her when I've come to grab drinks after a game at the garden. She's always so personable, remembers me, remembers what my order is, and chit chats with us about our life and how we've been since the last time we were in. If you're ever around the West End I HIGHLY recommend popping into Porter's and asking for Jody. She'll make your whole experience even better. She's an absolute delight.

Had to find a last minute location to celebrate our friend's birthday after our reservation was messed up at another location. The staff at Porters Bar was extremely welcoming and nice. They were able to accommodate a large party (25 people) at the last minute and delivered great food, great drinks and great fun! Thank you!!

We were spending one night at the Onyx hotel which was right next door. This was a nice surprise as we didn’t want to take a Uber or walk to far in the rain. All the staff was super friendly and the food was excellent!!!! Good draft list for craft beers. Would stop here again.

Burgers are fantastic, prepared exactly as ordered with fresh veg and steaming hot patties. Bartender was fantastic, mixed drinks on point and great atmosphere. Perfect for a quick bite at lunch or a full meal.

Great service, beer and food. We had a burger (upgrade to onion rings, they are great) and chicken salad. Food was tasty and cooked to order.

I want to delete all my five star reviews so that this is the only five star review. Because oh my gosh, the Caribbean jerk wings here are the best wings I've ever had. I love parkway grill in Texas for their Kenny's wings, and until today I would have said those are the best wings I've ever had. But today I ate the Caribbean jerk wings at Porters. Officially my favorite wings. Now, we've had the barbecue wings and the cubano sandwich, and they were pretty good. But if you like something salty and spicy, definitely get the Caribbean jerk wings. Service is awesome, the atmosphere is wonderful, it helps that I won a $25 gift certificate playing trivia on Tuesday night. :) Come in for the food, come in for the service, and stay because the place is awesome!

Excellent pub good: selection of beers local and IPA outstanding. You cannot go wrong with the burgers. I recommend the Buffalo burgers which sports the same sauce as Buffalo wings. It is huge and comes with tasty fries. It is definitely a meal. I had the Porter house Porter which was great and had a generous pour. So did the wine with also a generous pour and a reasonable selection. We definitely will return.

This is a great classic pub - only one of its kind near the Garden. Great food (especially burgers) and awesome selection of beers and drinks. Lots of options for Scotch lovers. I use it as a go-to place to meet up with friends in the city, especially before an event or game. Not many places that have laid back vibe and good food. Can’t recommend enough!

For years I hit up Porters before and/or after Celtics games. In a city and an area that doesn't always feel that diverse - I felt that here. It's understated, relaxed and local joint. Food is very good and bar is pretty impressive for the size of the place. Highly recommend if going to the garden

Porters has a great pub like atmosphere including a long wooden bar. You can order various beers and other drinks. Porters food claim likely is their burgers. Served in a brioche bun with a knife through the top you can order variations. I ordered the cheddar cheese burger which came with warm and crispy fries. Servers were pleasant, it is solid pub food.

Paul, the owner, made me feel like family. I'll be a returning customer as long as he's at the helm. Drinks were great. Food was better. Highly recommend.
