The food and service were beyond excellent! The Cacio e Pepe and the Truffle Ravioli were absolutely delicious, and Robbie's service was impeccably on point! The bread service was some of the best I've had! That said, the noise level was so loud that on a two person table, we could not hear each other talk. We were more aware of the conversation at the table behind us than our own! Part of it was that the tables were very close to each other, but also it could help if the staff politely asked the patrons at the tables at least, not the bar, to be a little more thoughtful of their fellow patrons sitting adjacent to them.

Enjoyed a meal on a Sunday while brunch service was available. We stuck with the Italian classics, however. We had a reservation and were seated promptly, the restaurant is quite small. Full bar available. Excellent service provided including attending to our special dietary needs. We started with a giant meatball and a salad, both of which were quite tasty. Entrees included chicken parm, linguine scampi, and vodka sauce/sausage plate. Portions are generous and we enjoyed the food. Prices are reasonable if not inexpensive.

Nice place. It has its atmosphere. On the walls are a lot of photos of the owner with celebrities (I assume it is the owner of the place). During the summer they open the windows and you feel this breeze from outside. The service was good. My friends and I came there for some appetizers and cocktails. Everything tasted great. My boyfriend and I ordered Burratta & Prosciutto and Octopus. They served Burratta & Prosciutto in a beautiful manner, prosciutto looked like roses. I will go there again to try their main course as well. So far I liked everything.

Have the best garoupa of all time. Compliments to the chef. Their famous meatball is delicious. The ambiance is small and they only have one downstairs bathroom which is unisex. Annoying and gross if you're sitting downstairs in a small space seeing people wait in line for the bathroom.

We made early reservations for Nico Ristorante on Valentine's Day and braved the cold to find this great place in the historic North End just across the street from the old North End Church and Paul Revere statue. On walking in, we were seated in the upstairs dining room, which was filled with tables and chairs. The vibe in this part of the eatery was fun and energetic with a diverse mix of people all around and conversations going between tables. We enjoyed the toasted bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar...classic with a nice topping of toasted Parmesan cheese that paired nicely with our Perone and moscato. For an appetizer we ordered the Prociutto with Burrata. The name was an undersell as this dish was beautifully executed in a olive oil base chocked with lightly steamed grape tomatoes and garlic cloves. For the entree, I ordered the Vitello alla Parmigiana. The veal was lightly breaded and paired with just enough sauce to keep the breading crunchy throughout. The veal itself was tender and flavorful and paired with well with the fusili pasta which was tasty and the perfect vehicle for the light pasta sauce. My companion ordered the Porcini Ravioli, which was the star of the evening. The truffle sauce was generous and full of flavor that mixed magically with the soft, chewy pasta and tasty filling. Nico's service was friendly, attentive, and helpful at all points. I appreciated their chocolate covered strawberries and roses on Valentine's Day! I highly recommend Nico's!

So 4 of us ordered and 2 people enjoyed their food….2 did not. The food wasn’t the best we’ve had in the North End - but it wasn’t bad. Our waiter was very nice. We sat upstairs and it was pretty cramped…like most places. Some woman added a barstool where once shouldn’t go and nobody could get by and people kept bumping into our table. That is of no fault of the restaurant. Just referencing how it can be cramped at times.

If you are looking for somewhere fun with good service and great food on the North End, this is your place. To be honest, we chose Nico this time simply to try the dish we enjoyed for dinner. We both ordered the Cacio e Pepe prepared tableside. At the suggestion of the waiter we also ordered a meatball to go with it. Not only was the tableside preparation fun (see the attached photo), but it was really tasty as well. The fresh Parmesan and cracked pepper gave the spaghetti incredible flavor without being heavy. That’s where the meatball comes in. Next time we would skip the meatball and enjoy a lighter meal so we are ready to enjoy our pastries from Mike’s a little sooner. Since we were celebrating my wife’s birthday, we received an incredible white chocolate mousse with a sparkler on it to celebrate. That was a nice touch! Here’s the deal: if you want to try Parmesan wheel pasta, or Cacio e Pepe, this is your spot. What a delightful evening!

Nico Ristorante, where do I start... We’ve booked a table for 7:00 with my wife, we’ve arrived at 7.11 - and our table was gone. We’ve been told to join a line outside where everybody appeared to have reservations. It appears that they simply sit as many people as they physically can fit inside their small restaurant (what a joke) thus making reservations some kind of ‘priority waiting list’ Take a good look at the photo, this is the view you gonna be looking at for an hour before getting the table you’ve reserved. What a shame.

It was a good restaurant. Not too pricey. We were seated downstairs which was a little less hectic than upstairs. Upstairs was a more lively crowd with the bar and limited spacing. The best thing that night were the meatballs. The Cacio Pepe was a big miss. It lacked flavor big time. That was a big disappointment. The wine wasn’t too bad. The charcuterie board was delicious and paired well with the Barolo. Service was amazing and very attentive. Our waiter was the best Maximo I think his name was. All in all it was a good spot.

food is excellent They could definitely include a more budget wine on the wine list. If I recall correctly the cheapest bottle was around $60, but I wont knock them for that. Service is great, attentive, and answers questions price is reasonable for the north end Just a general reminder that this restaurant is only wine and beer. They have booze under 80 proof as well.

Had a nice business dinner here. The bartender was super friendly, attentive, and fun. We moved to a table after our party showed up. I enjoyed the food as it was fresh, good presentations, and tasteful. It tasted rich and authentic. I would go back again. My only complaint is the waiter never asked if we wanted dessert or a second round of drinks. When it got close to closing time our check showed up.

We unexpectedly came in for drinks and ended up staying for dinner, as the food looked SOOOOOO GOOD. Our food was fantastic and can't wait to come back! Wow...Also, Sam the bartender did a fantastic job! He was our guide through the night and can't wait to come back.

We had the best dinner and experience!!! We had the Cacio e Pepe at tableside. It was wonderful! We also had the meatball appetizer to go with it. Both dishes were flavorful and cooked to perfection!! The staff were very attentive, friendly and the service was quick! We highly recommend!!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience here. Service was full on its game and atmosphere was a nice Chill vibe. We thoroughly enjoyed the place and would suggest you give it a try. Prices are way to fair for quality of the place. Go and get more than you paid for. Serious. I had the Portocini Rav with White Truffle cream sauce. "eyes crossing" amazing.

We took a chance without a reservation. The hostess was kind enough to fit us in for dinner with seating at the bar. The restaurant is tiny (there is a downstairs). It is in a cool neighborhood. We had delicious cocktails at the bar. Had an appetizer and all had entrees. All were delicious. For the quality of food I don’t really think it was expensive. We really loved the vibe of the place. Great service. They have really cool photos of celebrities hanging on the wall with who I assume is the owner. Look forward to going back!

My wife always wanted to try Cacio e Pepe and seeing as Nicos does it table side I figured this would be a great place to take her for our anniversary. When we arrived at the restaurant, they informed us that our table would be downstairs, not thinking anything of it, we went down and had a seat. When it came time to order that is when they informed us that they don’t do the table side dish downstairs. They would have to prepare it upstairs, and then bring it down to us. When I informed the hostess, sorry I wish I got her name but I didn’t .The main reason we were there was for the table side, presentation of the dish . She was fantastic and somehow managed to get us a table upstairs in a very full and crowded restaurant allowing us to have a table side presentation of the dish being prepared. My wife absolutely loved it. It was such a great time. Thanks to the awesome staff. I would highly recommend Nicos for anybody that wants some delicious authentic Italian food when visiting Boston. Once again, I would like to just say thanks to the hostess for doing what she did. It definitely saved the day and made a great night into an amazingly awesome night.

I enjoyed our brunch here. Personally I prefer a monkey bread that is a bit softer but it was delicious nonetheless. Great chicken and waffle, omelette, and lobster benedict. Would tone the music down a notch so I don’t have to yell across the table to be heard. But I understand they’re going for a hype atmosphere. Still a great time.

Our waiter Marcel and his crew treated us fabulously and we really enjoyed ourselves at Nico tonight. The Veal parmigiana was tender, flavorful and delicious. The meatballs with spaghetti made us feel like we were in Italy. Service was impeccable, that atmosphere was wonderful Italian. We highly recommend!! PS: it's fun to look at all the celebrity pictures that line the walls, look for the one where Nico is pictured with the Pope!

We had a reservation and still waited an additional 45 minutes. The restaurant is super small and definitely overbooked. I did order the pasta in the cheese wheel and it was very wet. I did also order a steak and that was great. My sister ordered the fish she said was the best she’s had yet. Apparently the chef didn’t make anything for desert so we had to go elsewhere for something sweet. No parking must walk!

This is our second time dining at Nico's. We come to a trade show in Boston every 3 years and had such a wonderful meal the last time that we wanted to come back again this year. And they did not disappoint at all. Everybody loved their dishes. It's a small restaurant but they really managed to fit large parties. From the hostess to the server to the bus boys, everyone was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Nico was my favorite place on the North End. The food, service, and atmosphere were always fantastic. I finally made it back after avoiding indoor dining due to the pandemic and things have sure changed. The music was so loud I couldn’t hear people talking to me at the other end of the table, my lobster ravioli filling was dry (the lobster itself overcooked) and the food, overall, was lower in quality compared to my previous visits, and the service was disappointing. After being seated for our reservation I had to ask to order drinks after waiting for 20 minutes. The time between ordering drinks and our food was also weirdly long. Then we waited for over an hour and twenty minutes for our food to arrive. We also ordered pretty basic pasta dishes, nothing that one would expect to take that long. Only once during that time did someone check on us and get us more drinks. On a very busy night, I get that things take a while and there can be a chain reaction of delays (I’ve been a server), but at the very least someone should say “Sorry things are backed up tonight, would you like some more bread etc.” An acknowledgment that eating two hours after being seated (for a one-course meal) is not okay can go a long way. It seemed like there were plenty of waitstaff, so I assume the kitchen was in the weeds for a long time. Maybe the kitchen capacity at Nico can’t also handle the addition of outdoor tables? Regardless of why things were off during my visit, I was across the board dissatisfied. I so looked forward to finally visiting a favorite place only to wait hours for subpar food, have a difficult time even talking with my table while waiting, and then miss my train home. I hope my visit wasn’t a sign of how things at Nico are now.

Stopped in for a pre-dinner drink with a friend before going next door for dinner. One of the best Manhattan’s I’ve had in a long time. Great bar service with a really nice modern feel. The food looks pretty phenomenal and everyone was raving about the meatballs. Next time I’m in the North End, I’m going to try the food. I’d go here if you want that North End Italian food, but want a bit more of a modern vibe.

St Anthony's feast Saturday night everyone else was saying reservation's only with open tables this place sat us right down at an open table outside. It started raining they brought us extra cloth napkins to our over our heads because they did not have umbrellas. The food was and the espresso martinis were great ❣️

This was my family's 2nd time eating her but my first. I enjoyed my salmon and garlic mash potatoes and broccoli rob. It was delicious. We got takeout. My sister felt like here shrimp Linguini meal was good but it had too much lemons in it and it over powered the dish. Over all a decent dinner for me.

Amazing date spot! The cacio e pepe is a great date food item because it's made in front of you, the rigatoni pasta is amazing, the calamari is delicious, the atmosphere is fantastic and quaint while also being modern. The prices are honestly not bad at all too. 10/10 would recommend for a great date spot or celebration place!
