A
decent
American
restaurant
inside
Hotel
Indigo.
Came
here
for
dinner
on
an
off-game
day
and
found
the
place
completely
empty.
Unlike
other
sports
bars
and
pubs
in
the
area,
the
place
was
quite
small
and
the
screens
weren’t
that
big,
but
I
liked
its
clean
and
modern
aesthetics,
typical
of
hotel
restaurants.
Based
on
my
server’s
recommendation,
I
started
off
with
some
honey
mustard
chicken
tenders.
Though
the
portion
size
was
a
bit
small,
the
tenders
didn't
disappoint
in
taste:
juicy
on
the
inside
and
perfectly
crispy
outside.
On
the
other
hand,
the
Kale
Caesar
was
underwhelming.
It
was
drenched
in
sauce
and
perhaps
too
generously
sprinkled
with
parmesan.
For
the
main
dish,
I
opted
for
the
Dry
Rub
Atlantic
Salmon.
Its
description
was
slightly
misleading,
as
I
didn’t
find
any
dry
rub
seasoning.
Yet,
the
salmon
itself
was
soft
and
tender,
so
it
felt
more
like
a
well-cooked
salmon
strip
from
Whole
Foods.
The
sides,
however,
were
mediocre.
While
the
sauteed
spinach
bordered
on
being
over-salted,
the
roasted
red
potatoes
lacked
crispiness.
Service
was
also
a
touch
below
par.
Our
server,
though
efficient,
seemed
more
engrossed
in
her
phone
than
in
serving.
Overall,
Blake’s
Kitchen
encapsulates
the
essence
of
a
4-star
hotel
dining
experience:
reasonably
good
food
in
a
subdued
setting.
