Sat indoors at the bar since it was a bit chilly, but there were plenty of people at the outside bar. Walked in with no reservation and got seated instantly. Ordered 3 oysters which were shucked right in-front of us. Condiments were simple and basic but that’s the way I like it. The lobster roll was served on a burger bun and I really enjoyed it. The pieces were nice and thick and the butter was warm.

Great location near Faneuil Hall with no reservations required for a sit-down meal on a busy Saturday night, but it was so crowded & after our meal we discovered the tiny restrooms opened to the small galley kitchen. That's a definite turn off. Servers were very friendly & attentive, but the drinks & food I ordered were lacking in flavor. I had the Pomegranate Rose Sangria (a mistake, don't waste money to try it), crab cake & Mixed Greens salad with Cajun Grilled Shrimp. Although the portions were generous, there really was not enough seasoning. My Hubby had the Lobsterman's Casserole and said it was OK, but I'd recommend going elsewhere to enjoy Boston's wicked awesome seafood.

This was the first time my wife and I bought dinner here. We have been to Boston many times but, this time decided to eat here because our adult children were not with us. First of all they had zero selection of non-alcoholic brews. In this day and age with so many to choose from and so many people choosing not to have alcohol, you would think they would at least have one. No they did not. I understand the price of food has gone up. But, if I am going to pay $30 for a plate of pasta and shrimp, the least they could do is take the tail off of the shrimp. I do not enjoy playing with my food while smothered in red sause. The red sause was far too creamy it was almost pink. I would have complained to the server but, she was another story. At first very friendly. When she told me they did not have and NA beer I gave her a card for Athletic Brewing she did take it and give to bartender. After that it was all down hill. Never once checked to see how everything was. My wife finished her $12 drink and she never asked if she wanted another. Just handed us the bill, took the credit card and put down the receipt. No "have a nice night" or "thank you". $100 dinner and was not the greatest.

Lobster roll is served on a bun and I have to say it is a very good! The lobster is very fresh and flavorful. I'm giving it four stars and not five because the presentation could be a little bit better and I'm kind of disappointed that they did normal fries instead of waffle fries. But other than all that clam chowder is awesome! So we will definitely be coming back.

Overall vibe was great! Nice outdoor seating with nice views around. The place was pretty busy for a Thursday afternoon which made the wait for a table a little long. Food and service were wonderful. Salmon was delish!

Location, location, location. Great place to view the historic buildings and find a bite to eat or swim in a sea of clam chowder (my addition of pepper and salt) . Lots of historic district eye candy in this area!

This place cant be beat! Beautiful outdoor patio with incredibly fresh seafood options, both hot and cold The oysters were local, fresh and fabulous. The stuffed Quahog was buttery and good sized! The lobster roll could not have been any better! Tasted like it was caught today. Extremely fresh tasty and comes with fries! 100% recommend. Does not miss!

Nice bar! There are always a lot of people, so it takes a long time to wait for an order ... but for that everything was delicious!

Get the fresh seafood bake with the red beans and rice. This is the most delicious seafood bake I’ve ever had in my life. Seriously please do yourself a favour and get it.

Ate outside for lunch, had the Fishermans Platter which was plenty of food and very good. It was not too busy on a Monday afternoon, but service was a bit lacking, my water was left empty for much of my time there, and when I needed more tartar sauce they brought a tiny teaspoons worth more to the table, which was quite a negligible amount extra to serve. But the atmosphere of the outside seating was nice with nearby street performers.

I found myself in Boston for a few days and stumbled upon this gem. I had a fish sandwich and I was very impressed - excellent flavor, the texture just melted in the mouth, best tartar sauce I’ve ever had, just amazing. There was a busker in the area next to the seating, playing and singing for a couple hours. Combine all those elements together and sprinkle in a fall afternoon = just magic. Highly recommend.

I really liked this place. It was mostly outdoor seating which was perfect for the weather. There was practically no line as it’s a bit hidden. The service was amazing and fast. The food was great. I ordered the fried clam and would highly recommend

Went here on Labor Day weekend. It was a beautiful day and we sat outside. We were seated quickly considering it was crowded. Meal was delicious had fisherman’s platter, fish and chips and Calamari. Fish was not heavily breaded which made fish taste good. Definitely got a large portion for fisherman’s platter. Service was okay but again it was extremely busy. We will be back again when we visit Boston.

We got into town after dark, we were hungry and needed a place to eat. This place is a typical tourist trap, we ate here because it's near our hotel. Food is average. My dish was doused in butter. Wish they had served the clam chowder in a bread bowl.

We both ordered the Fresh Seafood Bake. Fries and rice & beans on the side. We started with fresh oysters but I didn't take a picture.

Service was so slow. The hostess left about five parties waiting while she bussed a table (this seemed like it contributed to the inefficiency since hostess and servers were also bussers). We sat at a table and waited 5 more minutes-no one came. Bar spots opened up so we moved to those. The food was meh. The salmon really wasn’t anything I couldn’t make at home. The mango margarita tasted nothing like mango and mostly sweet and sour. Would not recommend even though it’s a good location with nice outdoor seating.

I don’t know that they should be allowed to have a “Bloody Mary” on the menu… it’s Clamato and a lemon. Not good, and definitely not a real Bloody Mary. The jumbo shrimp cocktail was standard-sized grocery store shrimp. Campbell’s soup makes better clam chowder. Waitress did a good job. But there has to be better seafood restaurants in Boston… there HAS to be. …. Aaaand the bill was $150!

This place is a ripoff and nobody should eat here. The app Steiner were okay but the main platters were awful. The Seafood Creole which is $28 has no flavor and is the worst thing I’ve ever ate.

The food was decent but not great. The beer (salty dog and ufo) was nearly room temperature and average tasting. The margarita barely had any tequila in it. Not bad I guess but I probably wouldn't come back.

Came here because our hotel was just up the road within walking distance but by the time we got here from Boston it was too late to get a bite somewhere else. However, this place exceeded expectation. The chowder, crab cakes, oysters, and fish & chips all tasted great and super fresh complemented with a nice view on the marina the atmosphere was perfect. Judith was very nice and never came up to ask how everything is when we were stuffing our faces and when we were taking a brief pause from eating she came up right away to ask if we needed anything else which was perfect timing and how it should be done. Prices are a bit high but that is to be expected in this area and honestly are justifiable with the view and great food.

Classic, albeit a bit kitchsy, seafood restaurant in a busy fun touristy area of Boston. Outdoor patio is great for people watching and the casual vibe is laid back and relaxing. Fish & chips seemed fresh; greasy but good. Coleslaw was ok—tartar sauce was great. Service was everything we needed—not outstanding but not bad at all. Wait times for food seemed a bit long but understood as we came right at the start of lunchtime rush. Right off of the Freedom Trail—would recommend if you need a break to sit and a bite to eat!

Vibe was overall nice. We got there around 1215 and got a table just in time because it got crazy busy. Good luck getting a table if there are not any open already. I ordered the fish and chips plate and was happy with it. Add the beer and tip, it was about 40 bucks. Probably won’t go back but glad the experience was overall positive.

Basic seafood fare in the heart of Faneuil Hall! No frills but solid.
