I know this is just a stand in a food court, but for $40 this is what we got. I’d imagine paying this price at Las Vegas’ food court, or perhaps inflation has really caught up with us. Badmouthing about people doesn’t make me feel good, but this place has successfully made me want to leave a review after being here twice, so here it is. To sum it up, if you don’t mind being ripped off by cheap restaurant owners for some mediocre Cantonese dishes, you shall be satisfied here.

Pretty tasty roast duck and pork, but I wish they gave more sauce. Also the rice is sometimes a bit cold. Looking forward to trying out the rest of their large menu!

I ordered crispy pork belly and they gave me 2 bones. I asked them if that was a mistake and they said no. They sell the bone the same price as the meat. I would not recommend this place. Not worth it. And if you use credit card, u have to pay extra 3%.

$29 for "super chili fried rice", egg rolls, and a 12oz canned soda... The entre was super plain and bland. I hope I was just unlucky with how flavorless it was.

The location is a bit out of the way for me but the quality of the food especially the duck buns and char sui (roast pork) make it worth it. The staff are very nice and happy.

Used to come here a lot, since the food is not bad, and it's comfort food for us. We went after the pandemic; and sadly they are just taking advantage of the situation to get into the price gouging frenzy. We ordered spicy salted tofu, and paid almost $18 (it's just a smaller portion of fried tofu, and nothing fancy in the dish's ingredients). We don't mind if they add reasonable increase like many other local restaurants that we love to support, but this is just too much.

@daysoffwithray Yeah honestly 12 for general gau combo plate it's honestly okay.... there's better places for general gau and way more portions. This place is just okay... my friend got pork tofu over rice and he said it's too salty and bruh we are both foodies so trust me just find somewhere else if u really can.

I ordered the spicy salted shrimp - regular order. I wasn't sure how big the portion was gonna be so I asked him and he said it's 13 shrimps which was advertised as jumbo size and this is what I got - 13 small shrimps for $24! Way overpriced for this cheap tiny restaurant inside the food court! Never going back again ! Updated: the food was good but I don't think it's worth the price.

Don't not buy their take-outs on Chowbus!!!!!!!! They charged a lot more, but they put a lot less!!!! Below they charged for 22.05 on the menu for 2 picked meet. That apps did not allow to show comments or reviews!!!! This is ridiculously expensive and so cheating.

Their hours on Google are wrong. It says they close at 4pm, but they were open at 5pm when I went. I has their Peking duck buns, pork with string beans, and spicy salted fish with a side of rice. Peking duck buns and pork with string beans were me and my fiancé's favorite. The fish wasn't bad- the crispiness was there but it wasn't salted. The rice was lacking something. I can't put my finger on what it's missing, but it was a little dry.

We have been going to Kantin for 20 years. The food is always fabulous and the new owners are incredibly kind and always ask about our kids when we sneak away for lunch. Definitely recommend them!

Kantin has been here for a long time and usually alright with rice plates but the scallion pancakes was so deep fried that it crumbled into pieces after one bite. Sad...can't even get scallion pancakes right.

Order anything that comes with the black bean sauce. The clams are really good but my favorite is the eggplant and tofu. Good size portion and comes with rice.

This place even has some better authentic Cantonese food than some of the places in the area, but the quantity does match the price like other reviews mentioned. They charge 3% extra after tax if using credit card. They charge more of restaurant prices than a takeout place which they are technically a takeout. Depends on the stuff you are ordering, they taste good.
