Had the most amazing experience. The entire experience felt like being back on a wine farm in Stellenbosch. The was quite far from where I was staying but so worth the drive. Upon entering the gates we were welcomed by some animals, which gave me the feeling of being on a game drive. We parked the car and walked to the restaurant where we were greeted so warmly. Everyone was extremely friendly. We were seated and then the fun part started. Our waiter Andile was so amazing 👏👏👏. He was kind, attentive and had really good suggestions from their very big wine list and menu. I settled for a passion and vanilla mojito, which I continued with because it was delicious🍹. The starter, mains and dessert 🍰 was so divine. I can literally still taste it. We were three friends enjoying life and were able to share and enjoy all of these delicious meals. I am definitely going back but I've also been advised to try Cradle Moon, so I may do that the next time. This venue, good and staff really deserve 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

What a wonderful dining experience. Golf carts are available to transport you to the restaurant so ladies you can wear your heels. Very happy with the food portions and the flavours, the chef did good! We ordered the pork ribs and the bush grill and we enjoyed both meals. The pap served with the bush grill was deep fried so that was interesting, and the chakalaka was lekker spicy. For dessert we had a slice of oreo cake which was big enough to be shared by two people. It was good, wasn’t too sweet however it was a little chewy.

Ambience was great, with beautiful views and staff was friendly and helpful. Starters were amazing but I was let down by my main: Pork belly was dry and chewy and I couldn't finish it. Other mains were decent and enjoyable. Overall enjoyed the experience and would recommend a visit.

I stayed at the hotel and obviously this is where we had our meals. I must say the inconsistencies with their service and meals is the reason for my rating. At times the food was good not great and at times it was horrible. I didn't have any good experience with the breakfast, the eggs for my omelet were very rubbery and the food just took an awfully long time to get to us for a place that wasn't packed. For Lunch and dinner some of the food was enjoyable but again the service too slow and honestly for the prices of the food you do expect top notch service and delectable food. I will not be saying much about dessert as I ordered carrot cake and I'm not sure how many days old it was. Judging by some of the reviews it doesn't look like they want to improve on the things mention so I will not be going back

Good service and good food! I ordered oxtail and hubby had the Bush Grill. Perfectly seasoned and made to amper perfection ( would've been totally perfect but one off the oxtail pieces on my plate was not tender). Had cake and coffee too, which was good. Con, the restaurant is a walk from the parking lot, down some stairs or a curvy steep road if you have a pram... Pro, they have golf carts to transport if you request, which used to go back up to the car

The best break from bustling city life is a visit to the Cradle Restaurant and Boutique Hotel. The Cradle Boutique Hotel is a peaceful, tranquil gem, only a short drive from Joburg; it is the most relaxing place with the best food and super friendly staff.

Greeted with warm smiles upon arrival and seated promptly The food was average my batterd fish was soggy at the bottom and the chicken dish was slightly underwhelming the cocktails are slightly overpriced The service was great and so were the views and a golf cart service available to take patrons from the parking to the restaurant and back

Had a lovely lunch, food was good. Stunning view. However everything was spoiled by the fact that our waitress asked us to pay the tip cash separately. I always tip 30%, having been a waitress too for years. If we had cash we even would. No issues with that. It must mean the restaurant does not pay out tips equally.

Had a Beautiful stay for the much needed break. The service is amazing, the turnaround time for food is minimal. Staff is amazingly helpful and diligent. The tour guide (Cloud) is very insightful and helpful. Definitely worth a recommendation...wish to extend my stay.

Great experience.. Food presentation was good but lacked in taste and seasoning... Would have preferred better quality drinking glasses.. A bit of background music would have been amazing... Staff however were very friendly and the views were stunning.. Would visit again soon

Stunning place and staff is very friendly. We had the Chicken and Leek Pie and the Pork Belly. Very nice. Unfortunately the Pies was cold inside and the pork had no crackling. Still worth going.

I have not had a meal as good as we had this evening at this great venue. Our food was “ out of this world”. Service was very personal yet of a very professional level. I shall return to try the food made by this souschef who goes by the name of Salt. Our waitron Dianna was of a kindness we seldom experience. Lovely lady! Just off and enjoy the sight and sounds of Africa, just around the corner of Lanceria. The food is exceptional. Call them and tell them Mark sent you! Do it now, you’ll love it!!

Love this venue so much and the meals are absolutely divine! We went on a Monday late afternoon & listened to Jackals at sunset. If you order wine by the glass, just don't make the mistake of thinking it will be a cheaper option. I just assumed this, but they do not do cheap wine by the glass. I got a fright when I saw R100 on the bill for a glass of dry white :-0 The wine was amazing, but I was not happy paying that. It pays to ask, or should I say it saves to ask :-).

I couldn't have asked for a better dining experience for my birthday. The atmosphere is so soothing. The food is delicious. The service was great. A new gem had been discovered, and cheers to many more occasions

The setting is unique and absolutely beautiful. Well worth the trip out there. The staff that were in attendance were great and the best service level I have ever encountered, always thought Kruger Park staff were the benchmark, however the staff here at The Cradle are the new standard. Well done and keep it up. The food on the other hand is nothing to get excited about, so that was disappointing for us, hence no 5 stars.

diner: their linefish dish is scrumptious stay away from the crusted lamb chops. slow diner service (hence three star) breakfast ordered room service both plates tasty - the royalle and a smoked trout rosti, has a tangy taste to it loved it! overall all good!!

I was here about two weeks ago with my friend. From the entrance, we received a warm welcome. The food was also top notch. The staff is always willing to help and the views are just a cherry on top

Lovely views. We had an excellent late breakfast, Eggs Benedict and the rest of the company had the full English breakfast. Nice views over the valley and mountains. Our trainee waiter did not get the bill right several times...but he did try. Pleasant nature. And if the steps down to the restaurant intimidate you, don't worry! There are golf carts to transport you from and to the restaurant. Try it! Worthwhile!

Beautiful setting with an “Out of Africa” feel, and a peek into the dawn of mankind. The restaurant has gorgeous views of the natural surroundings… There were the cutest monkeys playing below us as we soaked in the atmosphere. Attentive and excellent service. Delicious food of the highest quality. We popped in for a refreshment and ended up ordering a few starters as tapas. What a delight! I’ll definitely be back with guests from overseas.

This is a beautiful restaurant! The food was good, a lil bland but still great. The portions are also very generous and you can easily add or remove thing. The menu is alright for all ages and the drinks where also great. This is wonderful place to have a romantic getaway. Wonderful service.

My husband and I booked for a one night stay @ one of the executive rooms. The place is beautiful!! The picnic was nice and the staff was super friendly. Our downfall was the breakfast; but overall we enjoyed ourselves.

Lovely venue. Great service. Good food. Bit of a wait for food but time to enjoy the scenery is appreciated. I enjoyed the chicken and leek pie but hubby was disappointed with his peri peri chicken.

👍👍 What a peaceful place to visit. The doggy menu is better than the human one, but the food was very "English Pub" rather than "restaurant" quality. But still good. Prices are very reasonable, let's face it, you are going here for a doggie day out.
