The
food
was
"okay",
as
in
"Okay,
I
think
it
will
stay
down".
The
place
comes
across
as
a
mom
and
pop
joint,
but
lacks
the
love
and
spirit
that
such
a
place
usually
shows.
Most
(but
not
all)
of
the
staff
either
had
a
bad
day
or
is
in
need
of
customer
service
training.
I'll
err
on
the
side
of
optimism
because
I
know
food
service
can
be
a
pain.
Before
I
detail
anything
else,
I
need
to
say
that
this
place
needs
cleaning
and
maintenance,
although
all
the
tables
and
floors
were
clean.
See
the
photos
I'm
posting.
The
waiter
was
very
nice,
if
forgetful.
He
made
a
couple
of
errors
that
he
immediately
corrected
with
sincere
apologies.
The
cooks
were
moving
around
the
kitchen
with
their
heads
down
the
entire
time
I
was
there.
A
couple
of
staff
members
complimented
my
son
as
I
paid
the
bill
but
then
the
lady
ringing
it
up
asked
if
everything
was
okay
in
a
tone
that
was
clearly
challenging,
and
bordering
on
hostile.
It
was
strange.
The
food...
The
chips
and
salsa
were
good,
and
the
beans
were
okay,
but
that's
pretty
much
it.
I
got
the
burritos
especiales.
The
queso
seemed
to
be
made
from
mac
and
cheese
powder.
It
was
awful.
The
sour
cream
inside
the
burrito
was
REALLY
watery
for
some
reason.
The
rice
was
bland
but
well
cooked.
My
son
refused
to
eat
more
than
one
bite
of
anything
but
the
beans
on
his
child's
plate,
but
he's
2,
so
maybe
the
food
was
fine
and
maybe
not.
It
was
a
taco
(veggies
looked
good),
beans
and
rice.
My
girlfriend
got
the
chili
relleno
and
a
sour
cream
and
chicken
enchilada.
She
wasn't
a
fan
of
any
of
it.
The
only
drinks
they
had
were
Coke,
Sprite
and
tea.
I
got
unsweetened
tea
and
it
was
good.
It
tasted
fresh.
In
summary,
Emilio's
came
up
short.
I
won't
be
returning
and
I
don't
recommend
the
place.
