Spize is not new to me but this branch at Temasek Club is. This was what my family of 10 had. Overall ambience was good and service staff was friendly and honest to tell us if our order is too much for us. I feel that for the quality of food, there’s better quality choices out there with this price point. Location is just too ulu, definitely need to drive. I didn’t give a 4 overall because I asked for takeaway for the spicy mussels & lump crab meat $17.90 and it came back in a small container, which contained less than 1/3 of it (refer to the photo) and I felt cheated. Cos I am aware there are crab meat lump in it which we didn’t get to eat and I wanted it packed. I wanted to prepare pasta with it since the gravy is packed with so much good flavour, eggs and lump crab meat. 😡

The Chinese male manager/host who goes by Joseph is very rude! He directed us to a very small table despite us ordering $120 worth of food. He said the table is only opened till 8pm (we arrive slightly after 7pm)because they had reservations. When we moved to a slightly bigger table, he came over and immediately asked why we moved, and that the current table we are sitting at also has a time limit of until 8pm... Errrr so what's the point of coming over, why not just give a more comfortable table to begin with if both have the same time limit? Don't make sense. The food was OK but the fish and chips was VERY dry. The best tasting item has to be the pita used for the hummus. The ambience is pretty nice. Presentation of good was good. Service... Is very weird. Not consistent. Some staff are very efficient and polite and others are not. I don't know their names but there was a very nice Malay lady with glasses who took our orders and a nice Indian man who keeps refilling our waters. There was a not so nice Malay man who critiqued how much we ordered. Overall, will probably not be back unless the manager has a better attitude and the staff learn to not give unnecessary comments

My family of 8 had lunch here. Our impressions were that the servings were great sized and more than enough. We had more than enough food even though we each ordered one plate. Interesting menu and really of mix of different cuisines and herbs 🪴 and so on. Very different restaurant kinda feeling. You get Asian, European and Mediterranean. Spoilt for choices really! So many available dishes but we each have only one tummy. 😂 The coffees were thick and creamy. My daughter was granted a chocolate ice cream with tiny marshmallows from the kind and chatty server lady. It was obvious everyone was so busy but they were still quite kind to us. Thanks! It’s dinner and my wife and I are still stuffed. 😂 dinner at 9.30pm tonight. The prices are very reasonable too!

If you're near Rifle Range (Temasek Club), you should visit Sumac (Spize) for a meal. The quality of their food is really good, and I personally recommend their Aleppo Pesto (Fresh Coriander Pesto with Aleppo Peppers), it tasted so unique and flavourful. Their Briyani is flavourful too. 100% will visit again

Friendly staff although sometimes hard to get their attention. Just walk up to them then. Food was tasty enough. For the Moroccan grill plate, the lamb can taste quite wild/"fishy" smell. Every other food was nice enough.

Visited the restaurant on 31st Aug for dinner at 6.30pm with my boss & 3 other colleagues. There was ample parking space. We were greeted by the staff who led us to our table near the wall glass facing the swimming pool...awesome view! I ordered the beef burger, which came with truffles, fries & salada! The meat was juicy & thick🍔, it was hearty meals & worth the price

Visited on 4 May 2023 for a farewell lunch. The food is tasty and large, so you are definitely going to eat your heart out. Also, the ambience is quite conducive to having a meal under very high ceilings. The menu is very wide and varied, and you will definitely find something you like

Walked-in after our games to have dinner here. We were informed by the hostess on the restrictions as there are reservations, which allowed us to make sound decision to dine or not. 👍🏽 Taste was really good for most of the food except for the beef. Felt that beef wasn’t rested before serving, it still taste fine, just not up to desired doneness. Worst experience was the service feedback. Tried to feedback that the beef was over cooked, however, the first reply was “Sorry we can’t do anything about it”. Wasn’t even going to ask for refund/redo/return, just wanted to inform them that it’s overcooked, which we made it clear that we just wanted to feedback. Staff A told Staff B, Staff B took a look and said “Medium rare what” One part of the steak is already at congratulations, and that’s approximately half of the 220g beef. 110 was good, the other approximately 90g (+20g eaten) is what you see in the pictures. Will definitely come again, but definitely won’t order beef here again. Overall Service: 2/5 Food: 4/5 Ambience: 4/5

Love the food and ambient there but not the attitude of the staff. I guess the company could offer some courses to teach their staff to smile a little.

Fantastic ambience, located somewhere in a Jungle. Great food, Asian, Middle East, Mediterranean, European. Great first class service too. Updates : Warning,! Came back for a 2nd round with another friend. The waiter/waitress oversell it’s products. 1) Lebanese Grill is meant for 3-4 person, but was told it was for 2 person. 2) Suggested to us to get another dish due to 30 minutes waiting time for the Lebanese Grill, and so we place a salad order. The Lebanese Grill came in quite fast and the salad supposing to come immediately for the “fill-in-waiting-time”, came last after some minutes. The Lebanese Grill is meant for 3-4 persons and not 2 as told. So food couldn’t finished. Therefore had it packed the Roasted Pumpkin and Quinoa Salad which is totally untouched, and decided to throw it away after recalling the infamous River Valley outlet packed food incident. Overall it was still a nice experience eating, other than the misinformation, to order a “in-between” while waiting for the Lebanese Grill - Recommended, but watched out for the over selling.

Lost count as to how many times I have visited this Temasek Club outlet. Comfort food in a comfy setting with high windows overlooking Bt Timah hill forest. The deco is casual yet elegant and comfortable. It’s so endearing to eat here. Food is tasty and beautifully presented and portion is generous. Attentive & friendly staffs even when they were busy. Thank you so much, Spize, for the great experience. All my friends I brought loved the place and food.

Food - Rich in taste, delicious ❤️❤️❤️ Portion - Good, just nice for a head or 2. Staff are all friendly and helpful, kuddos on that. Cleanliness - 10/10 ❤️❤️❤️ Price - slightly higher then swensen or about the same. Sadly, not much for kids menu. 😔 Do make reservations and u will need to take cab in. :)

They recently renamed as Sumac. Posh-like restaurant serving Asian, Western and Mediterranean cuisine with very nice ambience. Portions were quite big for the price. Lunch for 5 pax cost $136++. Good place for celebrations. Servers were very professional.

Delicious food and beautiful views. Highly recommend the Rendang and Laksa. The only downside is the transport accessibility, however there are shuttle services.

We were there for lunch. The food was very good. The big glass window allowed lights in to make the place very bright and atmosphere was great. The views of the forest were so soothing. But it was a little noisy maybe because we were there during weekend, many families there with kids. I wish the service could be a little more attentive and perhaps with a smile? They looked a little fierce. But still ok, maybe they are busy.

First time visiting after a friend recommended. The place was clean and with nice scenery. I reserved online to ensure there is seating. Staffs were polite and food was served pretty fast. The waiting time was not long especially for a Sunday. The food presentation was appealing and the kids love the food! 🥰The portion was generous and my kids shared one of the main. The staff was very helpful to clear our table before serving our dessert. 😀 We ordered apple crumble and waffles with ice cream for desserts. It was yummy and something special for apple crumble. You can view from my pictures. Birthday song was played for the birthday diners. Overall, we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Will definitely revisit again for our next dining.

Had a very nice family lunch of hummus with warm toasty soft bread, ayam (chicken) nasi goreng and seafood capellini, plus truffles fries and salted caramel Belgian waffle topped with ondeh ondeh Ice cream. The table had a nice view of the greenery and trees. Make sure to reserve a table!

The interior is very well designed. We actually got the seat we requested. Staff were all right actually. Exterior view was the highlight. The food had good portions but disappointed with the taste. It did have a good array of options. Finally, the dishwashing area was playing their own music too loud. Made our experience a little unpleasant. Unfortunately, do not have a reason to bring my family there again & not a memorable experience.

This is a nice restaurant for lunch gathering when a group of us gathered here for office lunch. Nice view out of the restaurant overlooking the swimming pool with the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve as the backdrop. Relaxed and chill vibes here only!

We had a nice time. Went for a date. It's cozy but crowded. Food was amazing and portion was actually a lot. We couldn't finish even. But it's Tatsy and the presentation was amazing.

Good variety of food. Love the waffle with chicken, crispy and juicy fried chicken and flavourful waffles and mushroom. Pasta and local delights are quite delicious. Serving portions is quite big, recommend to have sharing portions.

We went as a large group after a school excursion and the staff were all so accommodating and understanding. There were a lot of orders but the staff were so helpful and patient. The atmosphere was really cozy and comfortable, we really enjoyed our meal there. A huge THANK YOU to all the staff who had worked so hard to make it a pleasant experience and to make sure all the orders were there. One of the staff, Karen, was so nice to offer takeaway options for the kids who couldn't finish their food. I didn't get the names of the other staffs but all were really so pleasant. Would definitely come back! Again, thankyou. 😊

The tall ceiling and the view from the window seats helped to create a relaxing ambience for the diners. Food was quite ok and selection was good. Will not order their chicken dishes next time as both chicken dishes I tried were subpar and chicken tasted frozen and tough. Beef rendang was quite good though. Encountered a staff who gave a not so pleasant face when I asked to change a paper straw as I noticed the packaging was compromised but she changed it for me anyway. Most of the staff were pleasant to deal with.

Celebrated my mum and husband bday here on 2 different occasions. Making reservations was a breeze and prompt replies. Food was okay but i must salute their servings. it was huge esp if you are a small eater. However, i think the menu could be more comprehensive like indicate what does the dishes includes of (e.g. rice, soup, etc). During peak period like school holiday or weekends, it can be quite busy and difficult to get hold of waiter/waitresses. Perhaps, they could implement ordering via qr code as an option. Wished that they could do something for birthday celebration too. Like providing complimentary dessert or ice cream guests are reserving for that special occasion.

Very nice ambience and atmosphere place for dinning with friends, family and even date. Very secluded as is in a club Food - General good for a Muslim perspective. Many fusion which makes is more interesting. Definitely worth to try once in your life time. - big portion to compensate for the price. 22.50 for a crab Fried rice. That's acceptable. Service Need more improvement! - stand at the entrance for a good 5 min. Nobody see. See already also ignore, thinking someone will see me. Restaurant just opened only. There were like 5 servers separated but talking to each other. Best part is open concept and yet I still got ignore. Not a nice feeling at all. - was very fast to give menu and ask for order. - but once you reject them once, the 2nd time is hard to find them. - ask to change plates, they gave you a stack of plates and left it on the table. So my dirty plates was still with me and I have to find space to put away the dirty plates. How homely I get from this place. - guess they are use to serving customers in greens Atmosphere - because is open concept so have Aircon is like no aircon - just wear flipflops, t shirts and shorts. Once the restaurant gets crowded and once you start to eat is where you start to sweat. - imagine having lunch there with the sun shinning down through the beautiful window - go at night better and after 7pm when the sun is totally out. Overall is a good place to bring guests but do wear green 💚 first. Hur Hur.

Jul 2023. Came here for a birthday dinner in early Jul. Spize was a halal restaurant with a huge spread of food selection. The choices stretched from local to Italian and American. We ordered local Nasi goreng pataya, portobello soup, Angus burgers and seafood noodle. The soup was a huge portion for one, the burgers came in an American upsized style. The nasi goreng pataya could feed 2 hungry persons too. If u are bringing your own birthday cake to celebrate in the restaurant, make sure it is halal.

Have not been here for a while, but the food generally still meet our expectation. Service was excellent. My favorite teh tarik still taste great. Fish & chip was good. The kebab is ok but the side veges can be better. However the smoked salmon salad is a bit overrated. Generally we enjoy our lunch and time there siting by the huge glass wall overlooking the pool and greenery.

Food here is pretty decent, portions are big and food is tasty. 1. Crab omelette fried rice: for small eaters, thos portion feeds 2. Strongly recommend this as the rice is fragrant and well spized. 2. Burgers were abit underwhelming because of a lack of seasoning, but the fries were on point Service here is exceptional, very friendly and made you feel at home

Was with my family earlier in Spize restaurant for a family dinner gathering! Everything from the food, to the service of the staff and the ambience was PERFECT! I ordered the seafood aglio olio with tiger prawns and mussels, and it suited my taste well! Highly recommended if you are a pasta lover!! ❤️❤️ I have definitely enjoyed my time there with my families, and treasured every moment with them! Hope to see them soon!! This is one of the best restaurant I have visited this year! Thumbs up!!

Great halal food nestled at Temasek Club! Surprisingly crowded on a mid-week night. Love the Burrata Salad and Honey Glazed Chicken Wings

1 star service. Made a reservation of 4. They prepared a table for 2 even after we reminded table for 4 at the entrance. Feedback to the waitress for a bigger table and she argued that our table could sit 5 which was unrealistic. So ended up 4 person taking 3 sides of the square table. Food was just slightly better than the 1 star service. If you're here for the view, best to go at day time.

One of the best dining places for any occasion. Comfort food. Variety of cuisines! Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch here with my family of 4. Ordered various cuisines from western to medditerranean. And wow, it never disappoints! Every dish/dessert was basically perfect. 10/10. Highly recommend to all! Lebanese Grill was WOW. The caramel sundae is basically a must try! Casual dining place nestled among the forests of Bukit Timah Hill. Had lunch there and the place was fantastic. It's halal but the food choices are plentiful. Presentation was top notch. Asian food is priced very reasonably. Parking is easy but you need a car to reach the place as is quite deep in to walk. Although the place can be a bit noisy. I can see why it is so popular. Best to make a reservation before heading out.

we were very satisfied with the food and the presentation. The portion quite big for us. We really enjoy the salted eggs chicken (super good and the taste is just right). the atmosphere, and place is nice. I want to order creme brulee for dessert, but will come again later because today my stomach is too full. For the maindish, both is great, the gravy, presentation is just right. It just my husband's cappuccino is late to be served. But when we eat a good food, we can minus the cappuccino issue.

Really great food, delicious and tasty. Every dish is well executed and for the price you pay, the portions are very sizeable. The plating is also surprisingly good and consistent. Punching above their belt for the prices! Service is a little messy as it was difficult getting the staff’s attention but they are very friendly so it’s okay.
