Can’t say enough bad things about this place! Truly… the absolute worst!!! Former franchise couldn’t run the place. Now the companies son is running it and clearly doesn’t want too. Food portions are very small as per other reviews. Manager is really unfriendly and clearly they cook their small pancakes in some type of oil instead of opening their wallets and using butter. Keep in mind this place is not cheap. Oh and no substitutions. Really. There’s a reason why there is never a line up for this place on a Sunday morning.

Fine establishment. Exactly what you would expect from this chain. It's not great but not bad food. But for the quality you get, it's pricey. Fantastic service though.

Ordered through Uber from the Burlington location and when our eggs arrived, thank goodness after a few bites my 5 year old noticed the eggs were red from the wax paper they packed it in and he didn’t eat it. I ate a few which is gross since I’m sure eating and ingesting ink is not safe, but at least my 3 children did not.

Real shame how horrible this place is. I’ve been 3 different times giving it another chance. Service is awful each time. They ignore you, they don’t carry basic things like brown sugar, the prices are too high considering quality of food and portion size, miserable staff… this place needs a revamp and better trained staff. Not to mention there are no specials which is off for a breakfast joint. Will NOT be returning

The new ownership has nailed it. Nice and warm updated interior. I especially like the new tables and lighting. The upgrade in food has made this a go to spot. I would say taste wise it rivals "The Bedrock Cafe" in Hamilton and thank goodness it's closer to us. Their prices are a little more expensive but the food quality is still deserving of the extra cost. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone. A must recheck out.

Now under new ownership, the food was delicious, the waitstaff so friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere and new interior inviting. Came for a late breakfast, the Crab cake hollandaise was perfection in my mouth and the home fries were perfectly cooked. We will definitely come back here again! I highly recommend eating here!

Every year I bring a group of my students in for breakfast. We love coming to Sunnyside Grill because they are so accommodating. The restaurant itself is nice and clean, the staff are pleasant, and the food is tasty. They always do a great job of taking care of our large table and we look forward to coming back again!

Butter Chicken Poutine, OMG one of the best butter chicken poutine I've ever tasted. They also have halal options and I will definitely be back soon.

Good place for all day breakfast. The staff are always nice, the food is good and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant has been renovated recently and is very clean.

Good food and in by 8 am and you can eat breakfast for $10 from their early bird menu. I had two eggs over easy, which were not broken, thank you. Two straps of bacon plus two blueberry pancakes with toast and green tea. Add all that up and for the price, a very fair price. Enjoy

Great California Bene! Service was great too. I ate at the retro breakfast bar which had a nostalgic feel - great for individuals dining quickly. Lots of table seating for families as well. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a traditional breakfast diner.

I would have to say this is a very average restaurant. It has some unique features like the 50s counter to eat at but overall just doesn't stand out. Our waitress was great but she never did come around to refill our coffee and it took a bit to get a spoon for sugar but again she was friendly and we had no complaints about her. The main thing was that the food was very bland. It really lacked any flavour. The home fries had spice on them but we didn't taste it and my husbands toast was obviously burnt but was sent out anyway. If you are someone with bland tastes or have dietary restrictions calling for simple foods then this may be the place for you but it just wasn't a place that would draw us back. If I could add one this would rate the Meh emoji as we didn't really have any complaints but nothing to really compliment.

Good place to go with friends for brunch or just as a breakfast place in general. Typically clean place with lots of space. I’ve been going here for years and havent had any major issues. Sometimes I feel maybe there isnt enough staff because we watch the waitresses run around trying to balance the very spacious space. Only thing I did notice was that on a busy, hot day when we wanted to sit outside there were not enough umbrella’s for the tables offered. However I understand, Canada weather is very unpredictable. Waitress was nice and let us know we could sit at a table with an umbrella once people left. Pretty good prices of food only thing I’d say is to have offers or deals.

Reuben sandwich improved greatly - it's delicious (shaved meat not sliced, grilled not toasted, and not skimpy ingredients in the sandwich). However the fries had no flavour/tasteless. Staff always very friendly and efficient, and lovely bright atmosphere, and a nice outdoor patio. Still one of our favourite places to eat.

My husband and I visited Sunnyside Grill this past weekend and ordered chunky monkey pancakes. They were fabulous. I cannot say enough about how delicious they were. This restaurant is under new management and I saw a big change in the quality of food and speed of service.

This location was amazing. They had a large space and were able to accommodate my 10 year old’s entire hockey team, plus parents. The manager, our waitress Pam,, and the one cook were very efficient. Everyone was fed and out within about an hour and the food was delicious! Many thanks for the amazing service! From the PC Storm U11A hockey team!!
