Just hosted my company holiday party there. Beautiful venue, great buffet lunch with carving station, Mimosas, Wine, tranquil views & friendly service. Kevin & Carissa were amazing! Overall an impressive and magnificent experience!

We came here for the first time during Bite of Burnaby and everything was delicious! We had a 4 course meal each which in total included: lobster flatbread, lobster bisque, surf and turf, and a dessert. A few things to know are that they are open limited hours, only Thurs-Sun from 4pm-8pm, it is reservation only which can only be made 2 weeks in advance and books up quickly. They also have very limited staff so the restaurant will likely only be half full but I asked the waitress about this and she explained that they would rather serve less people and have them have a great experience rather than have it full with staff that are stretched too thin. I think this is the right approach if they can’t get more staff! The service was great and as I said, all food was delicious. The only mild complaint was that for some reason the lobster with the surf and turf was very salty. The waitress was great about it, offered to replace it and said they’ve had similar feedback before and it might be an issue with the supplier so they’re looking into it. As an alternative to replacing the lobster she gave us an extra dessert for free. All of the cocktails were also very tasty and well made. We’ll definitely come back, most likely for special occasions since the regular menu is on the higher price point.

A restaurant on top of Burnaby Mountain with spectacular views of lions bridge, metrotown area and natural scenery. They provide food with $35 or $55 set menus and with other prices. Coffee and tea is free of charge. Food tastes good. Would especially recommend their coffee crunch cake that is included in the set menus. The only set back is that you cannot walk in to dine but have to book your seat 14 days in advance. At this time they only open to general public on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

I really enjoyed it here. It is reservation only, so don’t just show up. The views were amazing and the food was great. The three course meal is only $35! How can you beat that. The service was great. The venue is very nice. Great for large or private gatherings.

I took my parents and my uncle and aunt to come here for dinner weekday. The food was good service ok. They tried their best because there is only four staff working here on weekday. Reservation is a must because they can only deal w 48 set dinners per evening. The food was better than I had expected. Usually when you have a nice view, you don’t get quality food. This place is located in a nice setting and they have set dinner and view( I think they got the best of both worlds). First time I came, there was wedding private even and restaurant was not available to public. See the picture of food & the facilities and you can decide it yourself. I will not recommend coming on weekend as it gets too crowded and parking can be a challenge on weekend. I can imagine this is a popular place in hot summer.

Mintara, which is owned and operated by the city of Burnaby and propped on the beautiful Burnaby Mountain, was a wonderful treat. The food is in typical Pacific Northwest style but extremely tasty and delectable. Service was impeccable, and the views were breathtaking. Highly recommended for any occasion.

We had a wonderful experience dining at this elegant establishment! The food was delicious and filling. We were constantly being refreshed with our drinks, thank you to the front of house staff. Very professional. Our compliments to the chefs too. Took a walk around the rose garden to digest our big meal. Definitely would recommend!

Came on a Sunday evening for their 3 course meal which is good value. I didn'tsee availability during the summer so reservations recommended. It was super busy outside as it was a nice day so it was hard to find parking. The restaurant itself was mostly empty, 2 tables occupied when I got there and maybe 1/3 at peak occupancy. Pros - great view (as expected and on par from the Horizon days) - good portion sizes - slow pacing, no rush for you to finish your meal quickly (can be a pro and a con, the food and service was on the slower side) Cons - no parking as many people there to capture the views (go earlier than reservation time if it's a nice day to secure parking) - very cold; AC on extreme mode - its super cold in there, maybe to combat the west facing window greenhouse effect- but bring a sweater or winter jacket. - cups were either sticky or smelled a bit funny
