😠 Went in to get some samosas and asked what options and how much. They told me that it’s $1.50 per samosa. So I ordered both chicken and veg. Only to find out after that the chicken was $3.50, which is fine, I expect that with meat and rising prices, but then I saw their menu board and it said it was... We Come here regularly to buy food. Like their samosa and love their amritsari kulcha plate which comes with 2 stuffed kulcha chole curd and salad. Good quantity for one person one time meal. We also tried their aloo Tikka chaat that was also tasty.

Went in to get some samosas and asked what options and how much. They told me that it’s $1.50 per samosa. So I ordered both chicken and veg. Only to find out after that the chicken was $3.50, which is fine, I expect that with meat and rising prices, but then I saw their menu board and it said it was $3.00. And so i said oh your sign said it’s $3.00 and her reply was that it’s $3.50 after taxes. Which then I said with takes it still only comes to $3.36. So I asked is it $3.00 or $3.50? They only charged me $3.00 for it in the end however, I felt like they weren’t being honest in how they are charging customers. I don’t mind paying more for inflation and helping with the rising food prices, but to not be honest with your pricing at the till isn’t right. Tell me that’s an old price that you haven’t changed yet. Don’t tell me that’s prices after tax. At the end the samosas we’re not very good, chicken is dry with a sandy consistency. Just make sure you know what they’re charging you and not up charging you on your bill.

My boyfriend ordered me a veg thali from this store and it tastes not like actual indian taste. And above all, when I opened the bag, i saw a hair thinking it’s just outside the plate but while eating the daal, there was black hair in that. I was left with no option but to throw away the whole food which we never throw at all. :(

A 3.5 overall for the rating of the samosas. Great dough texture, filling and thickness but the content lacked flavour and spice. The chutney was good here - a thick consistency. Service was ok. No seating in here if you were thinking of dining indoors.

These guys have good Indian food that is just take out, no dine in, but when it comes to payment they have a TIP option....what is the the tip for??? We are already paying for the food that we ordered. The tipping culture is out of hand in BC.

We bought Jalebi, Kaju Katli, and Besan ka Laddoo from this shop. Everything seems good. Cheap, clean, and friendly staff, but Jalebi was NOT good at all as it was fried in old-stale oil. First bite itself gave the old-stale oil aroma and tasted so bad that I had to spit it out. The cook needs to ensure to change oil at regular intervals rather than use it for time immemorial. At the time we bought these sweets, Samosas were not ready and they asked us to order 15 minutes before coming. This seems fair, but I also wonder the oil quality that they are using for Samosas. Old-stale oil that was used again and again for weeks, or fresh oil that's changed every 2-3 days or even earlier?

Baba Sweets is a great place for Indian takeout. On my last visit I picked up a lunch special Tiffin box featuring curry lamb, a few samosas and an order of tandoori chicken and Indian fries. It was very delicious, good sized portions and reasonable price.

We ordered from Baba Sweets for the first time per recommendations from family in the area. I was very pleasantly surprised! The food was pretty good. We ordered online and our food was ready in about 20 minutes. We walked in to pick up our dinner without any hiccups. We ordered the chili chicken, chicken curry, and rice. 1. The chili chicken was one of the best I’ve had. The chicken was very soft and tender. The peppers and onions were cooked al dente with a nice a crunch! However, the chicken was on the sweeter side. My husband didn’t like the sweetness however I didn’t mind. 2. If you need a chicken curry dish which tastes homemade… this dish, is it! Again, the chicken was soft and tender. The curry was amazing, not overly sweet or savory. The flavors of the onion, tomato, and spices were just perfect. It really tasted like comfort food. Something you could have on a cold rainy day and not feel guilty. 3. The rice was just a typical order of rice. This was probably the first time i’ve ordered rice cooked with peas from an Indian restaurant. I didn’t mind it but if you don’t like peas then don’t order the rice. I highly recommend the two dishes we ordered from Baba Sweets, more specifically the chicken curry. I do plan on trying more items in the near future!

Amongst the other Indian eateries in the 6th street neighborhood, BABA sweets flavors definitely stand out as close to authentic Indian cuisine

Great samosas and large takeout menu. We ordered large trays for a party and were very happy with the quantity, quality and price. This place is worth trying. Much cheaper than the sit down Indian joints, with all the flavour!

Ordered 60 samosas for diwali. Called the place twice and specifically said that if possible give me more chutney. And they forgot to give any chutney at all..so I got 60 samosas with no chutney...and it's a shame they charge extra in the store but if they forget it..they won't give any refund for that.... Thank you baba sweets for the experience.

OMG...this is the best butter chicken/curry chicken that I have ever had. My bf and I order at least once a week...sometimes twice! Price went up recently...but still worth it.

Checked this out randomly for the first time since i was in the area,i got a large order of lamb curry, butter chicken and an order of veggie pakoras and 3 pcs of naan..all for just 63bucks..the quality and portions were huge and was more than enough my wife and i and our teenage kids! Quality was very good for my knowledge of indian food and i definitely recommend it to anyone who craves inexpensive indian food!! I will be back for sure!

Samosas good but customer service spotty. They called as an item was no longer available and calling them back took 3X. Also didn’t remove the charge from the order like most restaurants do and I spent 4x longer trying to get it removed via Uber eats support than eating the samosas themselves. Not sure I would try again, at least for delivery

Bought some Indian sweets today . It was too sweet for me but my husband liked it. Sweets were good enough for the price.

I allways order from this restaurant. And from last 2 or 3 times when I ordered online they use very poor packaging material and after that I send the pictures to uber. This is not first time every time something is leaked. So use good quality of plates rather than that cheap plastic plates.
