Went to order a root beer and it took forever. You would think its pretty easy to make single order for root beer. Also please note there was not line and was not busy. The female staff came out of the back and took my order. After she took the order she processed to make a hot chocolate, slowly. Took her about 2 mins to make this hot chocolate. During the process of making this hot chocolate she went into the back for unknown reasons. I believe it was to get instructions on how to put the powder and hot water into the cup correctly. After she finished making the hot chocolate she took the drink to the back and came out shortly after. She came out and was ready to take another order. At this point I have been standing there for a while waiting for my root beer. The customers that ordered behind me from another cashier has already got their two teen burger meals and left. I had to remind her about the root beer. Shortly after the reminder I finally got the drink. Just frustrated about the lack of urgency.

Food Court is fine. This place isn't good. The food was actually gross and the wait times were very long. Inside the burger were burnt bits of who knows what from the grill top and the fries tasted of old oil and not seasoned.

Employees mess up about half the time. Ask them if they have something, they say yes, the order goes through, they give you something you didn't order...because they didn't have what they told you they had. Brutal. I wish their manager was more competent and was able to hire people who speak better English and have better work ethic

Always make sure your food is the one that you’ve already ordered! Ordered Double chicken buddy burger and got charged and received the order as single buddy burger. Wasted my time for another 3-4 min without saying even Sorry about that! Plus the chief or the one who prepares the orders, doesn’t wear gloves and asked them why without gloves? She said because we are not allowed to wear gloves!!! Very interesting response!!!

Slow unorganized service. They also need better support in terms of supplies. They didn’t have ketchup avaliable and apparently they haven’t had it for a while

The reviews don't lie. Can't believe how much this location has gone downhill. There are chairs directly across from the restaurant, someone in charge should go have a seat and watch this place operate, way too many things to list.

I was not expecting the awful time I would experience. The customer service is never good here. But I knew that already. I was horrified by how long I waited- just for 3 tiny chicken strips and fries. I literally waited over 20 minutes for the smallest order of the day. I ordered at 1:26 and waited for 20 minutes before I asked them where my order was. The new lady was nice and told her coworker my order was missing. Turns out they forgot to enter my order. When they finally gave me my order, I walked back to the table to find out they forgot my drink. I walked by and they weren't even fazed. Just said sorry and ignored me. I am very tempted not to come back. Just looking at the reviews here, it seems like other ppl had similar experiences. The 5 stars reviews don't seem authentic at all.

Burgers are usually pretty good here but the cashiers here NEVER give out a receipt with Order# with details on it, and they themselves are often confused about who ordered what. Just give out a proper receipt and call by Order#!

Really appreciate Simran at A&W lougheed mall At first I wasn't happy about the pricing of the Beyond meat burger combo due to it being higher than other locations but she came up with a solution that made me really happy. Other locations different offer such solutions but Simran did and was also patient with me as other places just rudely dismissed my concerns with pricing. Thank you Simran

Good mall A&W location. They do bacon good here. The lineup/ waiting is kind of ambiguous (how the mall is configured), just check with the people standing around if they've ordered already.

Worst experience ever at an A & W. I took 2 of my grandchildren there for dinner. The teen burger had a huge piece of hard part of lettuce with rust on it, the onion rings were unrecognizable as A & W onion rings, The batter was mostly off, the grease was unbelievable even the color was off. I should have taken a picture. I felt bad for the guy at the register he just hung his head and said sorry.

Very friendly staff. Always there for help. One of my favourite place for my lunch. Must try.

I always try beyond meat burger at this location. And i always get fresh patty for my burger that make my day. I would love to recommend to my friends.

Sooooo friendly and thoughtful service for kids menu - how the treats and ketchup were added was sooo thoughtful.

Our kid went here for lunch during their school choir in the mall. A 10 YO tried to order a 2-teen combo to share with his friend, but was told by the staff that they couldn't share. Yet the whole coupon book was taken away by the staff, and our kid had to pay full price on a SINGLE teen combo for $14, which he would have paid $14.99 for 2 teen combos with the coupon. Yes, our kid learned his lesson now.

Receipt don’t have my order detail. Employee messed up the order but I cannot verify the item. Employee didn’t even know what drinks I ordered. Burgers were good.

I wanted to cancel an order but the cashier insisted to just give us a substitute item even if we don’t want it

Had the sausage & egger combo with their hash brown and organic coffee. Love the fact that the coffee is organic. Coffee was just warm/fresh enough to drink. Standard fast food breakfast fare. @veryhangryguy

The one at Lougheed Mall in Burnaby BC is awful. Super-slow, they burned the bun, put lettuce instead of cabbage. Avoid.

Unfriendliest A&W ... 2 young ladies never smiled once, the one that took my order sounded cranky when I ordered an apple turnover - told me it was a 6 minute wait. After placing my order I stepped over to the food pick up area until my order was yelled out by item. My food came up - where's my drink ? The other pipes up "OVER HERE WHERE YOU LEFT IT !" wasn't on that side after I paid

Service can be quick. My fries were very fresh/hot. The beyond burger (the vegetarian option) is here isn’t as fresh or tasty as at other a&w restaurants, and they still put mayonnaise when I’ve said “No mayonnaise please”. It’s happened enough times that I only get the French fries here.

I visit here yesterday evening with my family. We saw they had a huge line up but the front person manage it very well. The way she took order from each and every customer was really good. Although she was so busy but she didn’t irritate and yelling. She hand over food with smile on face. We ordered 4 beyond combos and we got all fresh. We enjoyed our meals.
