Don't stay here as a solo traveler From my arrival down a dark alleyway to get to the hotel (attached photos), to the hard as rock bed, to the manager who accused me repeatedly of trying to sneak someone into my hotel room when I asked for an extra towel to be able to dry my hair, everything about this place was abhorrent. I didn't even stay the night. When I told the front desk that I wanted to leave, they didn't work with me to get transport away and I had to walk to a hotel down the street to try and find anyone who could order a taxi for me (as go-jek/grab couldn't do pickups here). I have attached photos showing the porter taking my bags down the alley in order to get to the street to demonstrate how dark and creepy it is. I traveled alone around the country for 3 weeks without a problem, and through 30 other countries throughout my life, but wouldn't stay a single night here due to feeling unsafe walking to and from the hotel. Additionally when I made it very clear that I was leaving and I wanted them to make my room available to others, they kept on emailing me that they were holding onto my room because I paid for it and wouldn't release it to defray the cost. They were terrible to work with and had no consideration for the fact that I felt unsafe walking to and from the hotel at night. I absolutely do NOT recommend staying here. There are so many better places in Ubud. Go to any of them.

Peaceful temple style hotel, friendly service, lovely modern rooms. Breakfast included, comfortable bed. Filtered water refilled and afternoon snacks included. Very small laneway to access from very busy main road. Directly next door with walking access to yoga barn. Goldfish pond under walkway to some rooms at the rear.

"An oasis in Ubud right next to Yoga Barn" Our holiday in Ubud was arranged around the Yoga Barn and when I went to check it out I found this place next door. Decided to go with the convenience and was not disappointed. The staff were amazing and responded promptly to my confirmation emails in advance of arrival. They made us feel very welcome throughout and arranged multiple cars and motorbike rentals for us. Stayed for 6 days in all and would stay there again. Being off the road you don't have hardly any traffic noise which is great. The breakfast is good although can get a bit repetitive after a couple of days, you have Little K at Yoga Barn next door and Siam Sally in front so plenty of alternative options. The only downside is that developers are building a resort next door so not sure how much this will block the view of the rice paddies. Construction only commenced in the last couple of months however they finished each night about 9pm so didn't affect our sleep.

Stayed here for a month. For a small, boutique place with a small staff, they sure are very efficient. Breakfast brought to you at your room at a time of your choice. If you need a ride into other parts of Ubud, the staff will gladly arrange to take you there by bike. It's proximity to Yoga Barn is very useful if you are taking regular classes there.

I didn't like anything about this place. The room had a strong unpleasant smell, likely due to high humidity, and it looked outdated. We were relieved to only stay for one night. As for breakfast, I was surprised by how disappointing it was. The simple eggs with toast tasted awful, and I couldn't even finish it. If you're looking for a nice hotel, this is definitely not it. However, if you don't mind staying in a hostel, then it's an acceptable option. Overall, it was one of the worst stays I've had in Bali. Location is nice, pretty central. there is a big supermarket 2 mins walk away. But the price for the room 54€ is way too high for this.

Staff are very friendly, I received a free 1-hour massage as compensation for the ongoing construction work. Massage was great. And they serve the most beautiful breakfast every morning. Room was nice and clean. Bed was big and very comfortable. Definitely stay again.

This hotel is 10/10. The pool area super comfortable and beautiful, the breakfast (pancakes) was great and the room was so beautiful! We booked massage with the hotel and it was the best massage I ever had. Siska was incredible and so talented and my massage “bodyworks therapy” was truly amazing. I recommend this place so much

The Ubud Aura Retreat was a very pleasant stay, stayed there for a week and the room was very cozy and rustic. A nice sized swimming pool and quiet place to stay at. Grounds were clean and nice staff.

The location is perfect as it is STEPS away from the Yoga Barn. There are also many restaurants and a Saloon nearby. Also, the Monkey forest is not too far. The room itself was very clean, AC worked well, and the views were amazing. The free breakfast is also very decent -- I loved their scrambled eggs. The massages are a bit on the pricier side but it was the best I had in Bali. Overall, I would stay again.

Best spa treatments Ive had in Bali. Very skilled therapist. I had exfoliating relaxation massage followed by yogurt then a flower bath. Afterwards a nice ginger tea and papaya waiting for me.

This place is surrounded by so much food, shopping, monkey forest and a yoga retreat. What more could you ask for staying in Ubud. The staff were all friendly and very accommodating. Highly recommend

Next to yoga barn (20meters), in a quiet alley, so no noise, in the middel of ubud, great pool, great rooms with working airco, some rooms are better than others though. Price quality, love it

The location is great, you can walk to a lot of places. The whole atmosphere is relaxing and everyone is so friendly. The staff is friendly and accommodating. My room was small but really nice and clean. I had a facial that was absolutely fantastic! Would definitely recommend.

Ubud Aura is central to Ubud, but very peaceful. From the moment I arrive, the staff go out of their way to help. This is not the first time I’ve been here and it won’t be the last. Highly recommended. It’s so nice to be back in Bali 😊

I had the most amazing stay at Ubud Aura Retreat. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff. They were extremely accommodating and helpful. They prepared a fabulous floating breakfast served in the pool. They kindly drove me to my next hotel and carried my bags all the way in to my new room. Such a thoughtful gesture. Their rooms are comfortable, spacious and the entire location is so tranquil. An absolute haven, I loved waking up hearing the sound of the flowing water. It is about one minute walk from Yoga Barn. This place is truly special. I will definitely be returning here on my next visit!

Worst massage experience ever. The therapy room hasn't air conditioning, and it's divided in two only by doors. So you hear everything from the other client, including going to the loo (the bathtub and loo are in the same area, with no closing walls). The privacy is equal to zero, but the worst part was the massage. They asked me which parts were more painful, if I wanted it deep or relaxing...no way, the therapist did not pay attention to any of my requirements (his English was also not good). Had to repeat many times that he was going too strong. The experience was everything except good or relaxing. At the reception they even didn't ask if I was ok, just showed the bill and were not interested at all in listening what I was trying to explain. The hygene on the premises was also very poor. Do not reccomend at all. Updating: Ubud Aura answered to my review (see below) as if they were concerned for what happened. Spoiler: they were not. They just wanted to appeared upset or worried in front of Google Reviews readers. I contacted them in the details provided but no answer back. Again: stay away from this Spa, there are lots of options in Ubud better, cheaper and much more hygienic.
