Great value consider a 5-star service quality from Marriott group. The breakfast is great with very wide range to choose from. The restaurant menu items provide both local and international food. It is great to sit by the river for a fine dining. We also find the bar on 7th floor is actually a great place to have our lunch and dinner (you can order from the same menu). There are regular hotel shuttles take you to Ubud center, means you can also have dinner in the town centre or just pop in local well stocked COCO mart to pick up cigarettes, drinks. Hotel also has daily activities and we had a great walk around the small villages and rice fields nearby. This is the hotel we would stay whenever we go back to Ubud in the future. The hotel is located just outside Ubud. Even though it is some 7 kilometers into town, the hotel offers a free shuttle every two hours which can be easily reached. The hotel itself is kept very clean, staff is very helpful and always nice. We were being helped with some travel issues and got a high-quality scooter as a rental. We even had the chance to deposit some bags while we explored Munduk for two days. The two pools are both unique and pleasant, breakfast options change daily. We took a fantastic yoga class at the hotel and also used the gym frequently. In total one of the better Marriott hotels! Would recommend and definitely come back.

As a seasoned Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite member, I have come to cherish the unique experiences each Marriott property offers. Our recent stay at Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Ubud, Bali, was indeed a memorable one. We were welcomed with a room upgrade to a River View room, a delight that showcased the property's stunning vistas and attention to guest satisfaction. The tranquil sight of the river from our room added an air of serenity and relaxation to our stay, encapsulating the beauty of Ubud in a frame from our window. One of the most heartwarming gestures was the custom wooden carving gifted to us, etched with our names. This thoughtful token of appreciation was not just a souvenir but a memory we will cherish forever, reminding us of the incredible hospitality we received at Sthala. However, there was a minor setback during our stay. As a holder of the Club Marriott Asia membership, we expected a 20% discount on our room rate, an expectation that was unfortunately not met. Although this did not significantly tarnish our overall experience, it was a slight disappointment. Regardless, Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Ubud Bali, left an indelible mark on us with its outstanding service, breathtaking views, and unique keepsake. Despite the small hiccup regarding the room discount, the hotel more than made up for it with its excellent facilities and heartwarming hospitality. We recommend Sthala to travelers seeking a distinctive and memorable stay in Ubud, Bali, and look forward to our return.

My husband and I have enjoyed our short stay at Tribute hotel very much. The check-in was the fastest and the most informative from all 6 hotels we stayed in Bali (all 5 star hotels). As a Marriott member we received a room upgrade and stayed on the top floor. The attentiveness of their staff was beyond our expectations, we felt like VIPs (a very special thank you to Ayuk for making our stay so memorable!). First morning I asked for fried/steamed tomatoes. During the 2nd and 3rd breakfast I received them automatically without even asking. Attentiveness of the staff is TOP service for me. Free shuttle to Ubud on an hourly basis (it takes only 10-15 minutes to Ubud). The hotel offers free yoga and cycling tours. We tried cycling at 7 am and the tour took 1,5 hours max. A local guide showed us the area around, rice fields. Nothing spectacular, but it was still nice to be away from tourist areas and tourists and see a daily life of Balinese people. We also tried spa in the hotel and it was good as well. See you soon Tribute!

Our recent stay at Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Ubud, was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we stepped in until the moment we left, we felt incredibly well received. The two pools have ample space and provide exemplary service. The comfortable and well-appointed rooms were super cozy. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of complimentary products offered in the rooms. One of the highlights of our mornings was the breakfast spread. The diverse selection of dishes catered to all tastes. From local delicacies to international favorites, there was something for everyone. Speaking of common areas, the shared spaces at the hotel were nothing short of enchanting. Every corner was adorned with intricate details that showcased the rich culture and artistry of Bali. Whether you're sipping a refreshing drink at the bars or lounging in the cozy seating areas, you'll find yourself surrounded by beauty and tranquility. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating stay in Ubud, Bali.

I recommend Sthala Resort - it has wonderful ambience, excellent hospitality and clean facilities. It is located a bit away from the city, so it is highly suggested to book transportation via the Gojek phone app. Perfect for family or couples looking for a peaceful getaway! The property features an infinity pool, surrounded by a lush tropical garden. Relax and unwind in the sun loungers or take a dip in the pool. For the more adventurous, take a stroll along the valley and stroll with your beloved ones for a wonderful sunset. The resort also features various dining options. From open air bars serving delicious cocktails to continental buffets, the infamously local restaurants serve a tantalising array of international cuisines.

Such a poor experience here sadly. Food was ok but not the standard expected of a 4/5 star hotel. We were here during quarantine and one of the evenings they said we had to eat in our room as they had a private function on in our only outdoor space. Several other guests must have complained as this was then changed. Service and processes were exceptionally disappointing for example they brought all our 3 course meal out at the same time so my partner’s ice cream had melted before he had a chance to get to dessert. Other guests were complaining within the quarantine section of the hotel as people got room upgrades and free drinks/food as they were dissatisfied with the price paid and the overall experience. We asked for a partial refund for several issues we encountered and they refused saying they could β€˜upgrade’ us for one night to the same room but a couple floors higher… We complained directly to Marriott and they gave us $20 AUD worth of Marriott points which we won’t be using. Left a bitter taste in my mouth about staying at a Marriott hotel to be honest.

Stay for 3 nights. It was the best hotel I've ever experienced. We got 1 family room with balcony facing the pool and 1 deluxe room facing the wall. The room amenity is perfect. There is welcome fruit. Bed was comfort The breakfast is awesome, delicious, we're so full each time we had the breakfast. The crew was so amiable and helpfull, always ask if we need anything, and ready to serve. The receptionist and bell boy was also very helpfull and amiable. Best crew i've ever see. The have two pool, one on the 5th floor and another on the 3rd floor I prefer the 3rd floor as there is almost always shade, so it is not to hot even if you swim at midday. And it has the infinity pool facing the jungle. We took the yoga class in the first morning, with trainer Bli Pande, and morning bike adventure with Kadek Adhi, and on the last night we had a drink in tje Naga topfloor bar on the 7th floor, where you can enjoy sunset and sunrise. The hotel is close to monkey forest and bali zoo. The downside, there is no restaurant or cafe nearby, so you have to plan your lunch and dinner very well. Otherwise gofood or grab is always available. Lots of cheap and clean laundry surrounding the hotel, with very good quality and service, rp. 15.000 per Kg, and you can ask to deliver the laundry to the hotel for free. The can be ready in 4 hours (express). We tried local nasi campur on the eay back from Ubud Centre to Sthala, for only rp. 10.000 per portion, and it was amazing. If you want to find a tasty food, always find the warung/resto where there are a lot of locals queuing. What i miss, the opportunity to run in the morning through local houses and paddy field, because our stay were too short. ..Maybe next time. The weather in june is perfect, a little bit cold but not too much. I really love the weathet in Ubud. Perfectly fresh. Almost forgot to mention, they have a playroom for kids, with a lot of toys and books. And there is always a crew attend the room. So you can leave the kids of 2 to 8 years old playing in the room and accompanied by the friendly and amiable crew. There are plenty free acrivities that you can do in tue hotel such as hiking, luwak coffee visit, yoga, bike tour, canangsari dΓ©coration etc. Before we departed, we were accompanied by the management, Ms. Reha and Mr. Twentu. Very perfect service. I would value them 11 o/o10. Some advice: 1. The bike shadles for the morning bike tour are too hard. For rough terrain, better to use the soft shadle type. 2. For breakfast the dont put the peanut butter, which i really like. Could consider to provide them

At first a bit of hesitation, Sthala location is obviously slightly distant from Ubud. But, the ground images beat our hesitation. What a memorable stay here, the hotel is well equip and maintained, the view is so beautiful and green, the Bali vibe very thick. Most of the time we enjoy inside the hotel and arrange visit accomodate with scheduled complementary trip from hotel to Ubud area. Staff mostly very polite and professional, the breakfast has plenty to choose from, the bar at the rooftop offer a sunset with river view. We saw a bustling road traffic a far from rooftop, but it felt as if we were in the other side of peaceful corner. Thank you for the pleasant experience 🧑

We stayed at Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, for 2 nights and we had an amazing experience. This is just a few things that we loved in the hotel: ● Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. We really felt the luxury of the hotel and the river and pool views were beautiful. ● All the staff was very professional, nice and kind. They really know how to take care of their guests. We felt really special the way that everyone treated us. ● All amenities well cleaned and very pleasant (pool, gym, restaurant and lobby). ● Perfect location not far from Ubud center and the hotel provides free shuttle to the center. ● Loved the fact they have towels (gym and pool) and complementary water at the gym and room. ● The breakfast was delicious with much variety and with new options everyday. The views from the breakfast area are also amazing. ● We had an amazing lunch experience near the river inside the hotel premises with delicious local food with multiple courses. ● The infinity swimming pool is beautiful with amazing river and forest views. ● We had an incredible message at Tahara Spa. We really felt relax and in heaven. ●The hotel provides amazing early morning experiences such as yoga and exploring a nearby village just across the road from the hotel. We had, without a doubt an amazing experience staying at this hotel! We can't recommend enough staying here.

The service for this hotel is out of this world and the infrastructure is also very beautiful. My Marriott Platinum status was honored, and I could receive a special gift, breakfast, or some bonus points. Harry, in particular, made our stay great because of his generosity and 10/10 hospitality. As for the location, it is great if you want a getaway in a natural, jungle-type location, but a bit ways away from the city center (25-minute shuttle provided by the hotel every 2 hours). Overall I give my experience 8/10 mainly because of the location. Service wise 10/10. I hope this helps.

Sthala was our first hotel in Bali. It was beautiful, well kept, and very friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was awesome, highly recommend doing the floating morning breakfast! It was a very romantic hotel with a beautiful river and overlooking mangroves. The infinity pool was so beautiful! Location wise, it was a bit out of the way, not a lot around the hotel but overall the hotel had a beautiful charm. Perfect for our honeymoon!

Can’t say enough good things about our stay. The staff are so amazing and friendly and knew our names after the first time meeting them. The bed was super comfortable and gave such good sleeps. Restaurant and rooftop bar serves good drinks and tasty food. The breakfast buffet had so much variety. The hotel is in such a beautiful setting and nice to be out of the centre of Ubud. They offer a free shuttle to town and back.

Hotel is at great location. I was offered room 129 on this hotel which is a room with balcony but it had spa room in front of the balcony which blocked it's view completely. Even though it was with a balcony, I couldn't see anything apart from the people getting their spas done. I requested multiple times to Ms. Eka to change my room so that I get some view from my balcony. Otherwise I would have simply booked a room without balcony at a cheaper rate. But I was asked to pay 8,00,000rp more to get the desired room which I clearly denied. The Indian food was also not good and they clearly don't know how to make dal makhni. They only have two dishes in the Indian menu. Only pro thing is that they provide shuttle every two hours from and to the Ubud center.

The hotel is beautiful. Didn't get to try the rooftop bar but its stunning during sunset. They have hanging chairs by the bar. Rooms were clean, sheets were super soft and the service was great!

Sthala has been the property that I ever stayed in. The staff is extremely cooperative and understanding and friendly. I have never experienced hospitality is this before. ❀️❀️❀️❀️ Plus the beauty of the property is cherry on the top. They have river flowing next to their restaurant which makes it perfect for breakfast views or romantic dates. Recommend it 200% πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜β€οΈβ€πŸ”₯❀️‍πŸ”₯❀️‍πŸ”₯❀️‍πŸ”₯

Stayed here because of its close proximity to Maybank Marathon starting line. Surprisingly pleased upon check in to see 2 dutch pillow on our bed. The room was comfortable, clean, service was good. Breakfast selection was good, but taste pretty average. But the view from the restaurant made up for it. Will definitely go back if we visit Ubud in the future.

Its good for relaxation it's far from center but they provide free shuttle bus the hotel is clean their staffs are very welcoming and smiling. Enjoyed everything except insects in lobby at night so annoying and wc smell in the room. But their service very quick and food is variety.

Located in Ubud, they have a nice river flowing next to the premise. Their service is impeccable and their daily activities are amazing. They have a cycling activity which they said is for beginner but it is not, so just be aware, needs to have quite good cycling skill. Yoga was great too and relaxing. Slightly dated hotel but will try to stay here again because of their amazing service. They also have daily shuttle to Ubud center, I personally had not udedy it, but this will come in handy. I am gold Marriott this year, they did try to upgrade to a pool view but it was too small, so I stayed in my original room. Thank you

We have stayed for 2 nights here. It is a five-star hotel located nearer to Ubud having almost all facilities like Spacious Rooms, Clean Room, Great View of River, Restaurant, Bar, Garden Area etc. Good Things: Everything is good here. Food, Room, Pool area, Staff Support. We loved the food the most. There are various options available here. Would like to thank to restaurant staff for giving us Indian Food. Bad Things: Bathtub should be included in the room

This hotel is located in a prime location that offers easy access to all the must-visit tourist spots, including the famous Monkey Forest and Bali Swing. Plus, enjoy stunning views of a flowing river from the dining room. The rooms are cozy and inviting, and the breakfast spread is simply sumptuous. Best of all, the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, making for an unforgettable stay. I highly recommend this amazing hotel. It's the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway or a fun-filled adventure. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Stayed here for 1 night. I really wished I could have stayed here for longer time. Very nice hotel staff, always smiling. The room has a nice river view, quiet and relaxing. Bed is comfortable and bed sheet is dry enough (given the humidity here) breakfast also had a nice variety. Totally a hidden gem at such affordable price. Highly recommended!

Beautiful hotel with a stunning view of a river and a lot of green! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are overall great. There was also a shuttle service that takes you to ubud center. Breakfast is also really good with plenty of options. We loved it! Thanks so much for having us

We stayed at this hotel for the first half of our recent trip, and had no regrets. For the price we paid, this was a good stay: - Room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. - Pool had pretty good views. - Breakfast decent for a hotel of this stature and price point. - Spa service was good and prices acceptable. - Rooftop bar had good views and F&B were of reasonably good quality. We enjoyed our dinner there. - Shuttle to town - not exactly to the town centre (the drop-off/pick-up point was still about 1.2km away from the more exciting part of town), but still useful. They are also punctual, which is great. Some minor drawbacks, though not deal-breakers: - Our room had absolutely no view, which was a shame considering the location we were in. - When the hotel was at full occupancy (our first night), it was frustrating waiting for the elevators, especially at breakfast time. Things got better the other nights when the place was less crowded. - There was a constant burning smell - not sure if it was to manage insects or rubbish. This was not good for my daughter and I as we both have nose allergies. - Not much in terms of shopping (we were hoping for a convenience store) nor F&B in the vicinity of the hotel. - Wish they wouldn't keep replacing bath towels every day. Admittedly, leisure travel is not exactly great for the environment, but still, wherever possible it would still be good to try to reduce the damage. - Indoor kids play area mostly caters for younger kids. My 7-year-old found it underwhelming. Also, getting to the indoor kids play area during rainy weather requires an umbrella. On the whole this was still a good stay.

We stayed here for 5 nights and the service here is incredible. Outstanding service from Argus at the restaurant to Made at the pool. The hotel is located about 15 - 20mins from Ubud central however a free shuttle was provided. The facilities and the free daily activities provided were good. Sitting on the bean bags under the Bayan tree by the river was one of the most relaxing things to do. Would recommend.

Sthala is a beautiful hotel set in the rain forest. The inside is absolutely stunning.. Our room was so big. We couldn't believe our eyes how much space we had. Being my Birthday holiday the bed was decorated with a cake and petal etc. The food was lovely. All of our meals were eaten at in the roof top bar. On a special note, we'd like to thank Erika who took care of all of our needs. She is a credit to the hotel. Everyday she had a lovely smile on her face . Great hotel which I'd highly recommend.

Close to Ubud with free shuttle, tucked away into serene jungle area. Breakfast area overlooks a small stream and bridge. Staff service and attentiveness was top tier; rooms and grounds were decently well maintained but not the most spacious or modern. Overall a fantastic stay and would come back again if in Ubud.

Sthala is an amazing place to get some rest and nice treatments. The food is more than tasty and the staff is soo friendly! Especially big big thank you to Noviari from the front office who made my stay unforgettable with showing me Balinese traditions and thank you to Yeni from the restaurant for helping us to get the phone work after it fell into the water. I wish this hotel was my home. We stayed here for a too short time of 2 nights and we had a great time. We especially loved the staff, everyone was so kind to us and helpful. We also loved the pools, the food, the decor, the room and the mocktails. We loved it all and would 100% come back. Ubud as a town is also a nice and interesting place to discover. 10/10
