We had a booking from Monday 31st October upto the Thursday the 3rd November. We arrived late evening and we were appaled at the state of the room. The basin in the second bathroom was clogged , the bathroom dustbin was dirty. The doors of the apartment could not close properly. There were no door handles & the keyholes were open holes. The cleaning staff are extremely rude to guests. The lady cleaning on the 9th floor C-Block literally shouted at us in the foyer after we clearly communicated that we were in the process of checking out. The same lady that cleans the apartment walked into a bedroom without knocking & proceeded to berate the guests. We have stayed many times at the Icon and it was the ideal self service apartments, however this time around the standard has reach rock bottom & the service is appalling.

I felt like I was living in an episode of The Yard. Upon entering you're greeted with a facade that suggests this is a nice place. It's not until you get past the facade that you realize this design looks eerily similar to a prison. Every time I left my room I was tempted to yell "You got my money!!" Every door slam, every laugh, even intimate conversations can be heard regardless of what floor you're on. I can hear whenever someone is in the gym lifting weights. The gym is on the 4th floor. I was above the 14th floor. Keep in mind, I am inside my room while I'm hearing weights clank against each other. The gym features equipment from 1973. I'm pretty sure I worked out on the same machine as the 6 million dollar man. Speaking of the room, it wasn't clean. In the bathroom I was greeted with old urine stains on the wall. We had to call the maid several times. To top it off, I paid over $300 US per night for what felt like a college dorm room experience. This place does not compare to other developments in the area nor is it reflective of South Africa.

We had stayed at Icon about 12 years ago and it was super stay. 5 star apartments but Sad to say we are staying here at the moment currently in 1900 and all I can say is ICON YOUR STANDARDS HAVE DROPPED DRASTICALLY. From 5 star to literally a 1 star. Our check in was awesome and so was the receptionist that helped us. Pathetic rooms, stinky cupboards and towels and blankets. Poorly decorated rooms. Filthy and burnt pot. Totally unfurnished kitchen. Bedding is most uncomfortable. Hardly any TV channels basically nothing to watch. Broken blinds no aircons in the room. Bathrooms are despicable and so old and worn out. We really expected ICON APARTMENTS to be a good choice. The amount paid for this accommodation was and is not cheap thus a totally disappointing payment and experience.

From the reviews you'd say go for it and it definitely looks stunning on the photos you see people posting and even from management themselves. Unfortunately as I entered the room, my mood went from 100 to 0 really fast. It did not live up to my expectations (except for the view from our "balcony" which doesn't even classify as on). The bathroom is extremely small and makes a person feel cramped inside. They had everything a kitchen should have except for a cleaning sponge or any dishcloths. THE TV! that was probably the most disappointing thing we were welcomed by. For charging so much, the least they can do is to upgrade those monitor looking things that they call a tv. The screen is probably as big as a cheap android tablet and super slow to work with. The building has so many rules, it makes you feel unwelcome to stay. Last but not least, they do have a pretty comfortable leather couch in the room I was in. Unfortunately it's a NO from me.

We were in the fortunate position of staying in a friends' apartment at Icon Apartments. So we are not exposed to poor service delivery. However; the constant Marijuana smoke is really unpleasant. It is also a pity wifi is not available. One would expect that from an establishment advertising themselves as 'luxury'.

Unfortunately we had to cancel our stay due to Covid, we were travelling to watch British Lions tour.We paid a 50% deposit with free cancellation but alas to date we have been unable to get deposit refunded, more to the point no one has the decency to respond to many emails that I have sent. I have now been in touch with MasterCard to see if they can help. My advice to anyone booking here be very careful when paying a deposit as they do not seem interested in paying it back even though a World pandemic has gripped every country causing legitimate reasons for cancellations. I am very disappointed in there attitude towards there customers and just shows they really do not careless about them

The flat was nice amd I enjoyed my stay, I was on the 10th floor. The rooms are not cleaned everyday and I had to make a request and only then was it cleaned. If you book here, please ask for room cleaning servives every 3 days. If you choose to drive yourself there- GPS doesnt take you to the correct entrance. Use Cube Icon address on GPS then you will not gey lost. Great surprise: there is a washing machine in your flat as part the furniture.

Disgusting stay at icon apartments in cape Town long street I am reviewing the icon luxury apartments in cape Town on long street. I'm only rating them 1 star because there is no option to put in 0 stars My stay at this hotel was absolutely disappointing to say the least There is no way to contact housekeeping to at least get a change of towels as they said they only clean rooms every second day but in my 5 day stay my room was only cleaned once.. I was forced to use the same towel every day due to no contact wit anyone in reception or housekeeping Also the day we were abou to check out I left my room for 20 mins to have breakfast across the street and when I got back my laptop was stolen from my hotel room and the hotel was not helpful at all in helping me after this I will never stay at this apartments again and I will make sure no one I know stays here as well If you stay at this hotel be prepared to have dirty towels and apartment for the duration of your stay as well as be mindful that your belongings are not safe in this hotel There is stealing that goes on and no one does anything about it I repeat you are not safe in this hotel

Before Covid my family and I came to Icon thrice and the service was really good. But now common spaces smell weed and our room is not cleaned properly. We were also agressed by robbers just in front of the building and the security guys didn't help us. We won't come to Icon any more!

Excellent service, friendly staff and beautiful space. Spent a week there. Place was clean, they have restaurants down stairs and it's walking distance from the CTICC. Beyond amazing and thank you for the great stay.

Absolutely amazing. The staff is very good, welcoming, and always willing and open to assist you with whatever you need. There is free wifi And the view is amazing.

Everything about this place is amazing can't wait to go back this December. The location couldn't get any more convenient. Foodlovers is right down stairs. The staff is amazing as well

An awesome way to be in the CBD but also be close to the V&A Waterfront. Thanks to the owner of 1901. The management staff also related extremely quick to a concern a ihad. Housekeepers amazing. With food lovers below, for someone like me this self catering option was an experience if note. Now I need to buy an apartment here.

Situated in the CBD, 5 minutes from the Waterfront. Fantastic views of Table Mountain and Ocean. Beautiful spacious self catering apartments. Friendly staff and clean apartments. Place to stay all year round.
