Table Mountain is one of the seven wonders of the world. It is a must visit for every person living in South Africa and those visiting Cape Town. Parking seems to be problematic. The cable car ride is free if you celebrate your birthday. You must produce your ID. Studens and pensioners pay special prices. You can book online or you can pay at the site. I would suggest that you go early in the morning to make the most of the day, as well as obtain parking space. Peace, perfect peace greets you on the mountain. It is always the perfect retreat. You have options to explore the different paths, view different sites, fill a hungry tummy at the restaurant and buy souvenirs at the shop. I must however caution you that these souvenirs are very pricey. Cold water is also on sale on top of and off the mountain. I love every moment when ever I go to Table Mountain. I always make new memories. I challenge you to make this your next destination.

Most amazing experience and the scenery is beautiful. Just note though before you get on the cable car there's a staff member who takes your picture and they don't tell you at that point that you have to pay. When you come back down the operator says "please collect your photos". They charge you R220! You don't have to take the pack but I would have appreciated them mentioning it. The meals at the restaurant were also reasonably priced.

Stunning views of Cape Town from Table Mountain. There are also hiking trails available. I enjoyed the serenity sitting outdoors at the cafe. You can purchase tickets online or at the counters. If you would like to skip the queues, its advisable to purchase your tickets online. If you are a South African resident, you get a free ticket on the month of your birthday, which you can redeem at the counter with your SA ID. The Cableway rotates to give you a 360 degree view as you travel up and down. The gift shop and cafe at the top of the Mountain are also great to have something to eat or to buy a few keepsakes.

We took friends from the UK there and it was an exceptional day. It is better to go after 1pm because then there are usually no queues. In the morning there could easily be a 2 hour queue

We climbed platteklip gorge up and headed to Maclears Beacon before walking over to the upper Cable way where we caught the cable car down. Although it was extremely misty and with zero visibility, we had a really good time. We started our hike at 6:30am and made it up to the top in an hour. Lots of other hikers walking up the platteklip trail at the same time. It was however very COLD, WINDY and WET due to the mist, it was like climbing in a soft constant rainfall.

Fantastic outdoor experience of the newly added 7th wonder of the world :Table Mountain! Something for all ages to enjoy. The amazing engineering of this cable way boggles the mind as the floor inside the cable car turns for all passangers to get to see the panaramic landscape. The cable car even docks with such precision that there is practically no gap between the cart & the landing dock. I highly recommend this as a family outing. If it is your birthday month You get to travel free as a SA citizen wth ur I.D BOOK or driver's license.

Getting up is quick. We went up in the evening which helps that the lines are smaller. The cable car ride up is about 3-5 minutes. Make sure you are not stuck on the inside of the car as the floor rotates so just make sure you are by a window to get all the views. There are a few options for trains at the top but you will need about 30 to 45 minutes to get a quick walk in and take in the views.

We had a wonderful time, we were blessed with great weather. Choose your time carefully as the visibility is quite important up there. We been here many times, but never had such a good weather that we could see Cape point, the whole peninsula etc. No clouds. The place is kept amazing, one has a world class experience! We loved it! There are a few options to hike or just short walks. Take sunscreen lotion, hat, water and comfy shoes. Please do not litter, we found a few disposable cups on the paths, take your rubbish with you!

Tourists should not miss going to Table mountain. You see panoramic view of Cape Town from the top. Going up the cable car, get ready with your camera, there are climbers that you see. And bring a jacket or sweaters, it's windy and cold top of the mountain.

One of the best and wonders of the world. You have free WiFi at the top. You have beer and a restaurant at the top. But the area view is amazing. The wind blows heavily. The cable to climb up is smooth and for children under 4, they do not pay. You can buy a lot oof souvenir

When it comes to an incredible view, there is few that compares to this coffee shop with all its little gift options. Honestly, the coffee itself was very weak and everything a little bit more expensive than what it usually is, but let’s be realistic: after hiking Table Mountain, the coffee is exactly what you need (just ask for a double shot) and their cake taste like heaven. You can spend an entire day on top on Table mountain. There are long and short routes that you can wander. It is clean and when it is cold, the fire in the souvenir shop is exactly what you need.

I went to claim the birthday special. You don’t book prior for that, arrive with your ID. Everything went smoothly. The wait was minimal. I wish they would extend the time for the last cable car going down so there would be an opportunity to watch the sunset.

Spectacular and unique. I would recommend spending an hour on top exploring and walking around. So many beautiful views

What a disappointment, truly amazing natural wonder but the facilities, food quality and service belong at a school fete in a small rural outpost. Unsophisticated and underwhelming for a major tourist destination. Imagine the possibilities of a well run and well curated offering. Bring your own picnic and rather enjoy the natural beauty of the mountain.

👍 The best thing about this place for me is the location and the interior decor . The ambience can go either way-Different strokes for different folks I went there for lunch on a sunny Friday afternoon, the terrace was packed and the service was okay but the food was underwhelming(or maybe my choices...
