Unfortunately, I have to strongly recommend against staying at this property. I’m surprised by the number of reviews saying such good things about the hosts since this was not our experience. Due to a miscommunication, we were unable to arrive by the check in time and alerted the manager a full two hours before the check in ended. The manager could not make any accommodations for us which was surprising and disappointing but I suppose understandable. When we asked for a refund for being unable to stay at the property, the manager explained that if we hadn’t booked through Expedia that he would have refunded us no problem but instead we would have to contact them. Expedia told us they’d be happy to refund us if the hotel agreed to the refund, however when the agent called the hotel, the manager suddenly refused to accept the refund and forced us to pay the full amount for nothing in return. Either he lied directly to me on the phone or just decided to keep our money when he realized he could. When I called the hotel back to ask what happened they would not answer and declined my calls. It was quite shady and unprofessional behavior and left us having to pay again for another hotel down the street. This hotel may seem nice, but their actions prove otherwise. Clearly they care more about squeezing money from their guests any way they can than providing quality service. I would suggest avoiding this hotel if you can - if anything happens to go wrong with your stay they will not give you the benefit of the doubt and you will be on the hook. Check out the Les Chevaliers hotel down the street instead, a much more professional hotel that we really loved!

Our room was lovely, warm and very clean! It was so comfortable and cozy! Amandine and Arnaud are an amazing couple, they provided us an excellent B&B experience! A special mention to their lovely daughter and their beautiful cats, Paulette and Toulouse, for having made our breakfast time even more enjoyable. Speaking about breakfast, almost everything was handmade and absolutely delicious! In conclusion, we are happy about our choice and we highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing staying in Carcassonne. ☺️
