If you are considering this tour due to the reviews, look more closely - almost all reviews are left by accounts with just one or two reviews. I've been on the tours with them and believe many (not all) reviews are fake. One for Google to look into! I had another friend that did the tour that was equally disappointed. I did the 5 island 'VIP' tour on Feb 8 - nothing VIP about it. I choose the tour due to the good reviews and was SO let down. It was poorly organised from the start. Firstly they delegate the tour to Backpackers, who run the tour for 20 USD less than Nexxt usually charges. So it seems Nexxt just pocket the profit. We wasted an hour in the morning just checking in for the trip. We had to do so 4 different times as different people had different clipboards with our names on them. Then on the first stop at the fort, someone is just screaming facts without rhyme or reason, not allowing for questions or even to hear them properly. Second stop snorkelling, that was nice although sadly not much to see. Third stop a nice beach, but where we had uncomfortable plastic chairs cramped in a group together. Cool beach but we only had 30 minutes before being rushed off. Fourth stop was my actual ideal of hell (see video), the party Island called Chocon where people so clearly try to rip you off. It's SO crowded and overpriced. 95,000 pesos for a margarita to give an example. I didn't actually want to go off the boat as it was hot and I wanted to rest. For NO explicable reason the captain made me get off - maybe to make me spend money? Some people didn't go off the boat to snorkel, so why do I have to get off to an uncomfortable island instead of resting in the shade? No customer service or wish to keep clients happy. Baru was nice, but you can visit from Cartagena directly without needing a tour. That's where we had lunch around 2:30pm (by which time we were starving). We had to put in our lunch orders at 8am, yet had to wait over an hour for food to arrive. My food was good though. So in summary: Positives: - convenient way to get around the islands - communication with Nexxt was prompt - food at Baru was good Negatives: - terrible organisation from start to finish - bad customer service - way too fast in each stop - clearly trying to rip you off - run by someone else who offers tour for substantially less - reserved areas in beaches were in uncomfortable plastic desk seats - not relaxing or comfortable I would not recommend the tour nor most of the islands. I shared this feedback with the tour company who said they would get back to me, and never did. Unsure what the VIP part is??

We had the tour to Playa Cristal, and it was all amazing! They picked us up at the hotel by car at 4am and took us to the clock tower to take the bus. It’s a long ride from Cartagena to Santa Marta but it’s worth it. And we didn’t had any issues with Nexxt - they were great from the beginning to the end, even messaged me later to ask how it was! A great customer service and I know I have an agency when I’m back to Cartagena!

I did the National Aviary tour along with Isla Baru excursion with this tour company and it was a wonderful experience. I was picked up on time from my hotel in an air conditioned van as promised. Mambo beach club was the nicest place that I saw at Playa Blanca. Service was great and the food was amazing (I just had the basic fried fish) ! Angel was my tour guide at the Aviary and I could not have asked for more! Valentina was also one of the guides and she also did great when I was with her and the rest of the group. Even the driver was most courteous, pulling right up to where we were and always ready when it was time to go. I've enjoyed myself immensely and would 100% take another trip with Nexxt Tours.

I used nexxt tours to go to Baru Island on a bus with my husband and child. I speak Spanish but noticed all of their staff spoke excellent English. The customer service was great. One thing I was to say is that to get to Mambo Beach Club on bus you need to walk through the parking lot and down some really steep rocks that are big, small and there is no railing. Then it is a long walk down the beach. My husband told me this is absolutely normal in Latam... but I had no clue. I feel like this is a good detail to give people. we are young but an older or less fit person could have issues. The food was ok at Mambo Beach Club nothing amazing but totally edible and the jugo de maracuya was incredible. The servers there were so nice and I was charged only what I ordered and nothing more. the bathrooms do not have potable water. I was actually told this is all over the island. They fill a bucket with water to flush. Yes there are vendors but I was not overly pestered at all. Perhaps because I speak Spanish but when they approach you just turn the other way and if they still approach you say No. Pause. Then say no gracias. They get it. All in all I would totally use Nexxt Tours again. The workers were kind and professional and did what they said they would do. Thank you!

The marketing of this agency is all fake. We were sold a luxury getaway from Cartgena with a hotel and “facilities” at our disposal. The reality was extremely disappointing. No hotel, no beach to swim in because of high tide and worst of all, the boat taking us there was going at a crazy speed and so so bumpy. Would not recommend. Total scam.

Communication and pickup was efficient and timely. Driving time to the beach club was a bit longer than expected but overall everything was well coordinated. Our tour guide, Angel was able to communicate with us along the way so we were clear on what to expect and some helpful do's and don'ts. The beach club is a short walk from the parking lot and is on a public beach, so there will be vendors trying to sell you things.The staff at Mambo Beach Club were very welcoming and accommodating. Lunch was provided as part of the tour and it did not disappoint! The cocktails were great and our attendant, Amour, was very attentive. The beach was beautiful with cleat blue water and powdery white sand. I definitely enjoyed my time in the water with cocktails and good music. Overall it was a beautiful day and the beach and definitely more of a local experience.

I booked a Mud Volcano tour in Cartagena November 2022. The night before, they cancelled, but kept my $105.00! There is no customer service email or other contact, only a phone number. I did not want to waste an international phone call and waste more money. I was leaving the next day and they still only offered me to book another tour. This was obviously not possible since I was going back to the US! Rip off, avoid this company. They depend on you not being around long enough to fight back.

Went on the 5 island tours. They team up with the bag-packers tour company on the actual day. Was a great tour, only downside was the near 2 hours extra we had to wait at the meeting point before we got onto the boat.

Family of 4 with 2 young kids (2 & 5). We had a fantastic day touring the different Islas del Rosario. Our tour included easy, on-time pickup and drop off from our apartment. It was definitely hot in the early morning while we waited for the speed boat. Take lots of water, sun coverups, sun screen, hats, sunglasses, (optional water shoes) and lots of snacks. The kids loved the boat ride. At the first island our guide Hector took us snorkeling. Then we went back to the beach and played/hung at the beach enjoying a fresh lemonade and coconut water. Next, we went to the party island, everyone was respectful and the kids loved swimming in the warm water. Bring extra cash if you want to ride a jet ski or banana boat, etc. We finished on Baru and had a great lunch and relaxed in the shade on lounge beds. We worked with Karen to book the trip, Hector was a wonderful bi-lingual guide and played with the kids and the boat crew was nice as well. I would definitely recommend them and book another tour through them.
