Amazing experience! We were lucky to have one of the best tables that gave way to the breathtaking view; portraying all shades of greens & blues.. Wild life.. Nature at its best. It does get a bit windy during winter; make sure you keep yourself warm. We've also received the unexpected visit of a monkey that ate the complementary leftover breads. The monkey did not harm anyone, was comfortable with human presence, only hopped over for the bread and this made the experience even more memorable. Staffs were very friendly and ensured that we had an awesome time. Prices are not that high for such a majestic view and nice food. The prawns are definitely recommended. Improvement could be to add in more varieties in the dessert menu. Can pay by card, cash or juice.

Absolutely a must when you visit Mauritius. The food was excellent, the venue even more so. The staff was friendly and very professional. The view... incredible!!! I had the Palm Heart Salad and it was delicious 😋

Mega location....what a nice panorama view. You need a reservation. The cake with warm chocolate inside and vanille ice cream was so delicious. Thx to the Team.

It's a wonderful restaurant with a good view. They serve Rum tasting varieties which is a great option.

Still can’t believe this view is real! We’ve had Morning Coffee Experience in here. French toast with cinnamon sugar was great, coffee either 👌🏼 It’s a must visit here for a coffee, breakfast or lunch during your trip in Mauritius 😉

Discovered this place purely by accident and managed to wander in on a day when they had no bookings and so we had the restaurant pretty much to ourselves. The food was as tasty as the views were glorious from the balcony where we sat. Chicken tikka was especially nice and the chips on the side were all divine. We dined whilst drinking in the view, spotting birds and monkeys in the trees and chatting with the owner. We returned a week or so later as a walk in and found it to be very busy and could only gain access to the bar and snack area (snacks were still awesome) I would recommend if you plan to visit you book a table and try to book for bang on noon to avoid the tourist busses turning up at 1pm. The views are awesome, especially on a blue sky day, it's a bit out the way but so worth the drive! FYI the road from tamarin up to here is currently closed and you have to divert past le Morne and climb the back way. No idea when the road will be reopened but Google maps hasn't updated the road closure state yet. Please allow for this in your travel times.

Views are spectacular, atmosphere is relaxed, staff are attentive and friendly. The food was traditional Creole, we had the set menu. Palm heart slad with Prawns, Curry choices and Sorbet, all dishes were good. Rhumtails were delicious.

The restaurant location is great and it is worth visiting for the sake of views and taking pictures! I suggest it for some appetisers and few drinks. The food is not tasty, hence I don't recommend spending money there on main courses. We tried food, drinks etc, spent lots of money but left hungry. We did take lots of beautiful pictures and it was also raining, that made it even better. The service is overwhelmed by high numbers of customers, hence expect order delays! Overall, worth visiting for the views and small bites/drinks, but not the main food.

The focus on this restaurant is obviously the panoramic view and that is subsequently where your money will go towards. Food was good but there are much better and cheaper places all over the island. Be adviced that the service is not included. The service itself was okay, at times uncoordinated (we got asked the same questions twice multiple times). No smiles, not thankful for the tips. Good place for the views, bank for your buck mediocre.

Visited in August as a couple, as part of a day tour. We had no idea this restaurant existed prior to being taken there for lunch, ad part of a tour around the South of the island, but what amazing views it has! The food was a tasty pre-arranged three course with still water and bread also provided. Service was quick and efficient, we didn't need to interact with the staff much so can't comment o the service. Would highly recommend a stop for a bite if in the area, if just to take pictures from the viewing platform!

Staff are SUPER friendly and nice. Not an uptight place at all. Views are unreal. The MOST scenic view top restaurant I have ever seen in real life and I have been to rooftops across the world! A must visit in Mauritius even if you drive 2 hours to get here!

Fantastic view and great restaurant design. Perfect for sundowers. The menu is via QR Code, so my elderly parents struggled, and I had to read it to them from my phone which kinda killed the vibe. The menu is quite fancy, no pub grub. Definitely worth a visit.

The mains were ok, but the lamb coffee sauce had no coffee. Also, the gadjack were awful (cold and tasteless, assume they had been sitting somewhere for a while). great view, front of house staff horrible

Highly disappointing for the prices you pay. Arrived and the waiter said they were full so we were happy to sit at bar tables until we could get a table. There were 5 tables available in that section. I ordered the chicken and prawn curry. Meal arrived luke warm, flavours non existent, dry with no sauce, rice was dry and tasteless. It also looked that way. For the price 1/10. My wife had the grilled aubergine and cheese stack, completely the opposite, hot and very tasty. My food obviously stayed at the serving station for hers to get done. I ordered a draft beer, it was warm. Service from waiters was poor. We should not have to hand signal waiters for some service. I'm not interested in that it's a busy season. It's the same every year and it's not for a lack of waiters.

Le Chamarel is a fantastic eatery that offers breathtaking outdoor seating with stunning views of the lush green landscape and rolling hills, providing the perfect spot to indulge in a meal while admiring the picturesque scenery. The restaurant features a menu with fresh, locally sourced ingredients bursting with flavour. The portions are quite generous, making it an ideal spot to take a break between activities in the area.

The view from this restuarant is stunning!. We had grilled fish and wild boar curry, both good, but a little pricey. My partners gluten and dairy intollerances were catered for.

This appears to be a popular stopping off point for local tours for lunch. We just stopped for drinks, which are fine. The service can sometimes appear a bit haphazard, but if you are on holiday there is no rush and you will usually get what you want. The reason everyone stops here is because its very clean, tidy, and modern...oh and the views are amazing. Its like a giant vista of the south west of the island as you are nice and high up..you can just stop for coffee or a coke.

The restaurant has got a nice view and we used parking to go to Piton du Canot for better view. We were hungry and ended up eating there. The fish was nicely cooked and quality was great. The staff was not friendly or smiley at all and they seemed to be annoyed by the job, which made sense as there is a lot of people having arranged lunch with the tours. To us it seems to be overpriced as we ate half price at fine dining restaurant.

A very nice restaurant with an outstanding view to the Le Mourne and a wide range of the ocean! Definitely worth to visit! Reservation can be done easily through the homepage and is highly recommend!

Went there twice while on holidays in Mauritius. First time, service was good and food also. However, we had to wait over 1 hour to get our food. We had kids with us but still they took their sweet time. Second time was a disaster! Utterly shocked by the poor service, food took so long that I had to talk to the F&B manager to have my food. 2 people who took the set menu in our party got food poisoning! Only positive is the desert was good! Never again will I set foot there.

Great view over the south west of the island and turquoise sea. Sometimes, you might even be lucky and catch a glimpse of a macaque. Now about the restaurant itself, the food used to be good. But I cannot say the same about it now. There has been a change of staff. At most, the food is average and pricey for the money. Waiting time is very long too. I would go there to enjoy the view and may be, the chocolate fondant. Buy if you want to please the palate, there are better options around.

What a wonderful view over the valley down to the sea. We had a standard meal as part of a day trip, was also very good taste and quality..A clear recommendation.

👍👍 Wow! Amazing place! The palm and cane trees around, the beautifully designed pool and the operating machines…. Most importantly, this 450rs gets you into the tour (the tour itself wasn’t the best explanation of the process in my opinion, quite interrupted by the loud noisy of machinery) and the port...
