Extremely slow service. Palm heart starter: shrimp were perfect, palm heart flavor didn't come through very well. Eggplant and shrimp curry: SO GOOD. Main fish dish: also very good. Nice crisp on one side of fish. Views are spectacular.

Though the place bears a subtle air of grandeur, it ain't boastin' outright. As fer the boss's salad, I waited a mere 20 minutes, and by golly, it was a scrumptious dish!

Such an amazing restaurant. Couldn't pick a better location for breathtaking views of the mountains. It is so well constructed, the panoramic views are amazing. Access to the restaurant is through a gift shop, this leads up to steps to the restaurant, we couldn't help but take pictures which made us late for our reservation. The restaurant is spacious and has a lovely rustic feel. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The food was nice, my girls had burgers which were all home made and full of flavour. Definitely must visit for the views alone. I will absolutely return upon my next visit.

The staff were very welcoming and super friendly! They managed to get us a table with a view without reservation. The food was very good (a bit pricey though). Overall it was a nice experience.

Awesome view! Great food. Really quick service. However female staff seemed to be on the defensive/rude when asked questions about pricing and VAT rules. Didn't make a good first impression.The male server saved the day with due care provided and constant checking up on us. Tried to make up with some helicopter ride marketing.

Some places stay with you for lifetime. I visited Varangue Sur Morne this month on a family trip and it was absolutely delightful. The moment I saw the lovely view I fell in love with life again. These are the kind of places that make you feel glad you are alive. My family was just as happy as I was. They couldn’t stop smiling and that’s the best feeling .. to see your family this happy. The staff was delightful and chirpy. They were right on point in taking care of all of us. We loved their hospitality. Coming to the food, the gratin with cheese was my favourite and the fish with the silken butter sauce was absolutely indescribable. The drinks kept flowing and the selection .. oh what a lovely selection they had! The dessert was to die for. They chef really knows what they are doing. 😍 I can’t wait to come to Mauritius on a girls trip and enjoy this lovely place all over again.

First of all. The review on TripAdvisor isn't acquired. They offer a free shot of rum. If they leave a good review! When we were there, we got the worst spot of table. Next to bar and can't enjoy the view. The food great and price expensive. 700-1400rs for one dish (depending what you choose. Menu have approx 15 dishes in it.

The food was beautifully presented and even more delicious to taste. Setting is picturesque amidst a lush landscape. Highly recommended. Four stars only because there was no deer on the menu which is what it is famous for.

We experienced the most friendly and welcoming service at Varangue Sur Morne when we were heading to the national park. The manager took great care of us and the food was just delicious! Highly recommended place to eat in the way to Gorges National park!

We came to this location by chance, because we were hungry, and this place was on its way to our next destination. The prices are a bit high, but their quality is just right, plus you have a great view from the terrace.

This tree top restaurant served amazingly tasty Mauritian food; their house specials really were special. The drinks were good too (I had the guava and tropical fruit), and the service was amazing. The staff bent over backwards to deal with a dietary requirement for us. Their English was fluent, and finally that view is outstanding. Price per head was around £33 a head with drinks but no dessert.

amazing view, good food. the vegetarian curry was tasty and gluten free. the green salad which was served as a starter was boring because there was no dressing at all. the dessert, ice cream with fruit we could not identify was fantastic. we paid 200 for two cokes, the lunch was included in our "my holidays" trip to the south.

Very delicious food. The personal was very very kind! The order come vary fast in less then 10 minutes. We order tea for our children and we request honey to put on it , if they don't have in menu they bring from the kitchen. I definitely recommend to have lunch here!

Food and place was really exceptionally good!! Absolutely loved it. However the waiting time between service was too much. It was pretty cold. However the charming personelle and the place and food made up for it!!
