Amazing food, seriously. Everything we ordered was excellent. The staff are wonderfully kind, knowledgeable, and helpful, and the atmosphere is surprisingly quiet and intimate. Having an on-site sommelier is a treat, he was able to suggest wine pairings to the food as we ate. 10/10 experience.

Came here a couple of years ago and the food used to be amazing. Went back recently and it was horrendous! The plate portions are half the size they used to be, and the prices now for what you get are super high! It’s definitely no longer an authentic Syrian restaurant, you can tell by the people who are in that resto. Do yourself a favor and go to Beroya instead, food is so much better quality and pricing is much cheaper!

One of the most tasteless unauthentic restaurants I have ever been to. Please do not go here if you are expecting to eat real middle eastern flavours. I ate it because I was hungry, but I would not go back here even if it was free. Service was not the greatest either. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Great service and good food but if you do not enjoy extremely sour sauces you should choose your dishes carefully. I had much better experience at the neighboring restaurant, Petite Alep, even though they share the same kitchen.

Went here for a bday celebration and had a decent time. Based on the servers recommendations we opted for the tasting option where the server selects dishes and goes on till you indicate whether your appetite is satisfied or not. Also opted for the wine based on the sommelier recommendation. In general the food is 50-50, ie 50% of the dishes were good rest were average. The wine recommended was not very good unfortunately. Very light bodied so did not go well with the course (we had requested for a medium bodied wine). Not sure given the price we will come back but overall recommend the place for a visit.

Great food overall and so happy I got to the Syrian cuisine. We tried the “tasting menu” (basically a la carte prices but they pick an assortment based on your preferences). Highly recommend asking for the labneh, Muhammara, beef tartare, fattoush salad and taboulleh. The kebabs (chicken & beef were good too). The only setback was the wine. We did taste it at first, but it didn’t sit well, and no one did a quality check on it after - and it was a bit poor to our liking. Service was also a bit slow and underwhelming (server forgot my cocktail a few times, was quite slow). Overall, great food - be prepared for a long and really unique meal!

I went with my friend here for the first time to try the authentic Syrian food. We ordered Fettouche, Taboule salads along with Kabab Khach- Khach, Chicken Taouck for main course. The food had appreciable taste and the portions were filling. For cherry on top, we ordered Red Wine as well which tasted pretty decent too.

Summary: high prices, tapas portions, taste isn’t that great! I ordered fattoush, humus and a chicken tawook skewer. All of the portions were so small (like kids portions, serious talk) but their prices weren’t. They call this tapas (small portions). As for the taste, the humus wasn’t bad but was sour, chicken was fresh but I didn’t like its marination, fattoush was okay. I paid $40 and I wasn’t even full. I won’t repeat this visit for sure.

Really good food and service! The tasting menu was excellent, and they made everything very vegan friendly.

The food was amazing , the service that we had was fabulous, the atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy with some dim lights, it could be a good spot for a date. We had no reservation , but the reception found a solution for us. I would recommend the Akrass naanaa (starter) , cream stuffed atayef (dessert) , and the fish was good , but I believe the lamb would have been amazing

just incredible. service was fantastic, really appreciated the fact that they can deconstruct plates, so you get to taste a bit of everything that you want.. great quality-price ratio, and I'm planning to go back. the kind of place you want all your friends to go taste.

The flavours!! Just go and let the flavours slowly travel from your tongue to whichever part of the brain processes them. You will absolutely want to go again. We had the vegetarian platter and it was magic. We lucked out and got a table, but reserving ahead is a good idea.

Food was ok but not generous at all bc the portions were more for kids. The breads were cold and came is a bag. Omg,it took almost 45 min for the meals to come in very small portion,it was salty & water was poored once. We went to Afghan grillade afterwords!

A new special find for me! Definitely one of the most delicious food I had in the past years. Expect excellent food at high prices (25$ for low priced meals, 30-40$ for regular priced meals)

Overall we had a great experience. I would revisit. 1. I expected the portions to be slightly larger. 2. Music could be improved. Since it’s a Syrian restaurant, I expected to hear Maqams instead of «house of the rising sun»

This place has the best Syrian food in the city. Their unique prep with spices makes this place unique. Their lamb and beef are not to be toyed with. Beyond good. Top notch service with a knowledgeable sommelier

Great location to have a quick lunch or a great dinner. We shared almost everything that the menu offers and everything was delicious. The service is great and the staff is friendly and helpful! You should definitely try it out to discover another great Lebanese/Syrian food!

Great restaurant! The tasting menu is simply amazing and it's the first time in my life that I like hummus. They also have a great wine selection. We are definitely going back.

Starters were amazing (Humous, vine leaves), wraps (Aleppo Kebab and Chiche Taouck) were bland. Service was bad. Waiter was short in his answers. When we explained that we are actually from Aleppo and we were only asking questions to see if the dish is what we think it is he dismissed us by saying “well, I’m obviously not from there” and walked away. Extremely disheartening! I don’t live in Montreal but chose to go there because the name reminded me of my beloved city. Well, the service didn’t. If you’ve ever been to Aleppo, you would know that everyone is welcome. Well, we were far away from feeling welcome and in fact we left deflated and disheartened.

A nice little upscale place to eat great Mediterranean food. Shrimp was excellent, however the Shish kebab and the sausage was a little dry.

Still a GEM of a restaurant and their delicacies taste the same as they did many years ago. Ageless and exquisite. 6 STARS!

The food was excellent, we were 7 and we all loved it. The waiter Eric, if i remember his name correctly, was amazing in his selection for the tasting menu and service. The Arak was great.

Pretty great food all over and very welcoming staff. Particularly loved the Armenian sausages and the prawns. Great option to go as a group and share the food.

Very good food, very good and fast service, make sure to reserve before going there cause it can get quite busy

Lovely food, mostly good service on a busy Saturday night, great place to go with a couple of friends. Vegan friendly. Don't go with people who won't try a dish they haven't heard of. Don't expect to find parking.

Great food and friendly server. I really liked the whole sharing aspect of smaller tapas-like dishes, made to discover together. The server even proposes to build you a custom menu based on your culinary preferences.

Little gem restaurant in montreal. If you like middle eastern food, give this place a try! You'll love the taste and more importantly, it will not break the bank.
