This stadium was named aftet the Engr. Shamsuzzaman who died in the war of 1971. This stadium is also known as Bandar Stadium. Once upon a time major league of Cricket & Football will be held here. But now it is only used for playing for the children of the port colony. The Stadium is closed maximum time. The Bandar Car Shed is just opposite to the stadium.

The place and environment was too good..... its a fine place to arrange any kind of sports event ......

Its located besides the port colony. Very large and well decorated stadium. Few years ago it was open for everyone and any time. But now it open for everyone at day and restricted after evening. You can come here and see how boys and kidz are playing around there. Peaceful place

Quite small Stadium, but good environment. This Stadium owned by Chittagong port authorities. Gallery is too small but one thing it’s quite enough for a urban city like Chittagong.
