Ordered off menu and they catered to my request. I’m gluten-free so they made a bowl with the buffalo chicken, roasted red peppers, pickles and some chipotle mayo dressing. It was delicious! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Very hip little sandwich shop with cool lighting and clean look. You can order from the kiosk or directly from the sandwich artist! They serve Dietz and Watson meats and cheeses along with some fresh fruits, muffins, breakfast sandwiches and a range of salads. Don’t forget the coffee or a smoothie when you’re in a hurry! Love this place and will be back!

I wandered in, tired of the usual spots, which is to say, fast food. Brandon (I hope I spelled my new friend’s name right) was waiting outside the door as I was walking in during a break and then gave me the info on his workplace before making me a delicious handcrafted Maple Street sandwich. He also let me know that this week’s shipment of fresh Turano bread and Boar’s Head meats were coming in tomorrow, prompting my desire to return. I noticed the way he interacted with other customers, a co-worker, and a man I believe was one of the proprietors, if not simply a regular (‘Big H’), and was impressed with him as well as his knowledge of music and cinema in our sporadic conversation. With high-tops, the café also has comfy couches and seats where I intend to come back to on occasion for a place to do work or write, whether being creative or planning. The place was clean and small without being too tight, an appropriately intimate setup. Plenty of condiments, drink options, and quality chips. In short, I am glad I found this spot.

This deli and cafe is owned by the Gold Coast Market guys so you know quality and customer experience are top priorities for them and it shows. I’ve been eating these sandwiches for over a year and they still haven’t gotten old. They’re delicious, staff are very friendly, and they’re frequently adding new items to the menu that keeps me coming back when I’m not in the mood for my favorite sandwich (the division st). I read those two bad reviews and I can’t believe them because I’ve personally witnessed and experienced them going out of their way to make sure their customers are happy, especially if something happens like they forgot to make a sandwich or are missing an ingredient. They went above and beyond to reconcile the complaint.

Stopped by for lunch. Was greeted when we walked in. Staff was awesome. Recommended the Elm and it did not disappoint. Great flavor!! Will return when I come back.

Nice little sandwich shop in a great location. I usually get a breakfast sandwich, my wife loves the turkey sandwiches. No pork products, but still good

This is a good basic deli place. You might want to consider additional protein option, because default sandwiches are quite thin. Edit: changing from 4 to 5, because owner’s reply reminded me I’ve been wanting to do that :)

This place is SLEPT ON!!! Especially for breakfast. You can get a breakfast bagel/sandwich with $0.99 dark matter coffee in the mornings and they're super customizable. You can also order from kiosks when you walk in to make it as fast as possible, oh and they do FREE delivery! Sure, the sandwiches might seem a little expensive compared to like Jimmy John's or something, but this place uses fresh ingredients brought in daily and Boars Head meat & cheeses. Also, it's family owned and operated by a real local. The owner is the nicest dude around by a mile. Give them a shot!

The place is very clean and staffed by seemingly friendly staff and I'm a fan of their self-ordering kiosk and comfy seating. But that doesn't excuse a very small sandwich (upcharge on just 2 slices of London broil, really?) at $14. Won't return at these prices and portions.

Came in last week to order a sandwich to go. As soon as I walked in one of the guests in the seats turns around and stares at me. I was immediately uncomfortable. They kept staring at me for quite awhile before I even walked to the kiosk. I assumed I was going to be greeted but no one not even the person staring said anything. Once I reached to the kiosk, the person gets up and leaves. I’m waiting in the sitting area and the person returns back into the store. I get up and leave with my order and the person literally SAT DOWN in the EXACT same spot I was sitting at two seconds ago facing to the door. This creep had plenty of spaces to sit which made me uncomfortable to even walk out of the store. He watched me leave the store. Not sure if he was a worker or just a weirdo but I’m NEVER coming back.

Phenomenal. Had the Division street sandwich. Perfect and great place to relax on a couch and eat. Get the cookies, expensive but you won’t be disappointed.

Over priced and takes forever to make basic sandwiches. Honestly, pretty impressive how long it takes them here. Don’t get it.

The food is really good but I’m marking this place 3 stars as when I order from Grubhub, my order is never received from them. You’re also never greeted so it’s super eerie and quiet and when do you say hello, there’s just one person working usually and they don’t greet you back. I order via Grubhub and do pickup because it saves me time to enjoy my lunch hour or to start my busy day, but I’m not sure what the deal is and it’s kind of awkward just walking in. If you do order in person, they have kiosks that you order from but it is hard to customize or at least to make a note like no mayo, etc. unless that function has changed - because you will wait awhile if you order in person. However, I love the sandwiches, but with timing and tech issues I just know what to expect now if I have a time crunch, etc.

Pictures of food on kiosk nothing like what’s served. Avocado toast was just a few slices with old tomatoes on top. Egg bowl was simple but a mess. But I guess you get what you pay for because it’s fairly cheap

Gold Coast Cafe is not only so yummy, quick, and convenient, but the staff there are nothing but friendly and always carry a good energy that makes every experience a pleasure to visit. Proud to support a local business and proud to shop Palestinian owned.
